Thanks for this video.vg. I just bought one of these saws. Put wood spiked gripper on first then the blade. Came with a loose spark plug which I did not know if was a spare or if one was fitted on the engine. Access to plug is by removing plastic turn screw on top to reveal the air cleaner which needs to be lifted out to get at plug which was fitted, care not to drop anything into the carburettor inlet. Instructions don't say anything about the primer. Great, writing this and I have not started the saw as yet. Great. It took longer to assemble the head gear than fit the chain etc!!!
Absolutely brilliant review really informative. I've been looking at this saw and wanted an indept review and you definitely provided just that. Thank you a subscriber for sure
Thanks for the video I'm beciding on that saw or a Hyundai. I have a China clone and it runs great but bits keep braking the pull start been replaced and the brake handle has now broke off. I have a Makita batt but she is only a 14 inch.
The "chainsaw gloves" are funny, i used them to clear some brambles, by the end the gloves where in tatters, and my hands not much better. Nice little machine though, it's not lacking power.
Please, please, please, never ever use a chainsaw like that! You are not wearing proper PPE, you are not using the brake when starting the chainsaw and your stance when cutting is asking for kickback leading to serious injury. Everyone please consult manuals and/or experienced individuals before using a chainsaw.
As for safety I totally agree with your views, not using the correct safety gear, and not using the safety brake when starting. I'm certainly no expert although I've used chainsaws on an odd occasion with my work. I noticed also in the video shown here that the saw was being started on a cement floor, that could have potentially made the new chain blunt had it touched the floor during starting without the safety brake on. As for those small branches being cut, he should have had the body of the saw right up to the branch to avoid kickback.
