      I know! Then when she started spouting off about her land-owning/farming father, it kind of made sense. They definitely have some shares in a water company. Wow though...you can tell she gets about 95% of her "news" from conspiracy websites. She was basically saying it is immigrants fault that water companies have to pump sewage into the sea and rivers! They cannot handle immigrant poo!

    • @callumtyler686
      @callumtyler686 หลายเดือนก่อน

      took me 30 seconds to fact check that one...
      The claim that water companies in the UK are pumping sewage into rivers and seas due to mass immigration is not supported by evidence. The primary reasons for sewage discharges are related to outdated infrastructure, underfunded environmental agencies, and regulations around storm overflow systems. When heavy rainfall occurs, outdated sewage systems cannot handle the excess, leading to the discharge of untreated sewage into rivers and seas to prevent flooding.
      Inadequate investment in infrastructure by water companies and relaxed regulations are more significant factors than population growth or immigration. Environmental groups like Greenpeace and the Environment Agency have pointed out that budget cuts and a lack of enforcement powers have contributed to this issue. Furthermore, changes in planning laws, as well as a reduction in environmental protections post-Brexit, have also exacerbated the problem(Virgin Pure)(Greenpeace).
      While immigration might increase the demand for housing and infrastructure, there is no direct link between immigration and the sewage dumping issue in the UK(Full Fact).

      @@simoncox9689India wasn't a unified nation-state in the modern sense, it was a collection of smaller kingdoms ruled by the Mughals when the East India Company started to move in, taking advantage of local rivalries and divisions to grow in economic, political and military power and influence until direct rule was established under the British Raj. What's your point? It's OK to invade and steal if the people you do it to don't have a constitutional government? Or is it the tired old "everyone else at the time was doing it, so that makes it OK?" Or maybe you think "if the shoe had been on the other foot India would have done the same to us"? Can you imagine the outrage in the UK if some other nation had taken over the country and put nationally significant items like the Sutton Hoo helmet or the Stone of Scone in their museums? Or worse still, the private collections of the generals who had invaded? Not to mention the material wealth that flowed out of India once the empire was firmly embedded in India, leaving it impoverished for decades after the end of the empire. And that's just one part of the world. Most of us in the UK are not privileged enough to access the wealth left over from those days (although a small number still are) but it's still all around us in our churches, universities and other historical buildings.

    • @TheLampini
      @TheLampini หลายเดือนก่อน +19

      @@KimThomas-vp4vm nope. Developed from Roman immigrant law, our laws are developed via precedent. Of course, the law can be influenced BY religion, but in the UK, that's more of an exception or aberration than anything regular. For example, there was the Cornish Private hotel case where a gay couple was refused a room by religious Christian hoteliers. Judgey ruled the hotel had discriminated against the couple.
      " The ruling cited the opinion of Lord Justice Laws, who asserted that no law can justify itself on the basis of any religious authority: "The precepts of any one religion -- any belief system -- cannot, by force of their religious origins, sound any louder in the general law than the precepts of any other"
      So no, our laws were not developed from Judeo-Christianity at all.

      People are proud to be black, hispanic, asian you name it.. she's only said about the good things Britain has done in the past.. you're the one making it about skin colour...
      My closest family outside of my biological family are Indian and they are all on the same page with conservative values.
      Nothing here against other races it's just letting people from Britain be British. This is coming from an half British Brazilian. So this isn't about putting other skin colours down or other races, it's about being united together as British people and making that the thing we have in common not dividing up the nation by colour, different creeds or other country's traditions while we fade into nothing...
      When I go to Holland, I want to see cheese, windmills, dutch architecture, Dutch food, traditions and culture. If I move there I'd be happy to relinquish my culture traditions in the main part to join that society where those traditions are morally right according God's standards. Same if I moved to any country be it Pakistan, India or New Zealand. Can we not expect the same respect here in the UK?
      Will British people have respect for our grandparents and even many other nations who fought to keep Britain free, democratic and British in our culture and tradition and christian values and free from the Fascism and Communism which destroy societies and makes men nothing more than unvalued matter.
      Yes we have both our evil and good parts of history but so does every nation in the world and they too are proud to be from their own people regardless or just a part of their own people, that doesn't make them racist.
      Ukrainians are happy to be Ukrainian and we support it, Palistinians are proud to call themselves Palistinian, a state not completely recognised, yet a lot of people support their cultural pride and where their Keffiyehs. All of this is to say that this false humility and instability in the UK stopping people from being thankful and happy to be British and to follow traditions past down to us that are unique to the rest of the world is a evil we ourselves are inflicting on this country, it's citizens and the world.
      A lot of our money comes from tourism but as people come here they expect to have a taste of Britain, it's cultural and traditional quirks.
      I know people of other nationalities living in other counties who are proud of the countries they live in and want to show new comers the best of the culture and what the nation has to other. Yet we Brits blush to say we are British and that we even have a culture...
      Madness. This needs to change if we want to survive as a culture at all (and want to keep our tourism industry).

      The people picked seem a bit daft. Although, get a bunch of labour supporters in a video. They are not intelligent or articulate and not even the least bit patriotic.
      I mean obviously the main issue pressing against the British is their own identity. Most of the large English cities are now majorly not English. That is interesting. It should also be perplexing to the English identity. Immigration, I should also mention that in most cases is illegal migration, but truly is a problem. The cost of housing is rising, and native Brits cannot afford it. Yet we have foreigners continuing to move in, and they are taking the housing, and diluting the culture, and creating cultural tension.
      That is what people cannot understand. They feel like their culture, and identity is being corroded, but politicians from labour, and from the conservatives do not give a damn. The tories have said that they would reduce illegal immigration for years, and they never did anything. That is what the majority of people wanted dealt with, but again the tories did nothing. That is not democratic. So naturally since the tories wouldn't deal with it, and labour would not either, naturally a new party had to rise to fill the demands of the masses, and deal with the problems that British people have issue with.
      Labour or the Conservatives could have dealt with the issue. It was also one of the main reasons that the United Kingdom voted to leave the European Union. Yet both parties betrayed the people by refusing to deal with the issue.
      As far as asylum goes, one can only seek asylum to the nearest country. If you are from Egypt, you must seek asylum in a nation that borders Egypt. That is how asylum works. You cannot seek asylum when you pass through multiple nations. You must seek asylum in a border nation. That is the law. Most people illegally entering Britain are not from a nation that borders Britain, even across the sea.

    The only flag that should be allowed to fly is the Union Flag, to symbolise the freedom people have to fly whatever flag they want!

      Oh but they don't you see. Many people flying the Union flag have been ordered to take it down.

    51% of all inventions were British. Well that’s the Egyptians, Greeks, Romans and Chinese told. Christ.

      The figure of 55% of inventions being British is attributed to serious Japanese research. Similar research by Canada puts the figure at 50%.

    White privilege isn’t directly linked to how much generational wealth you have, for anyone that needs to hear it, white privileged has everything to do with the systems and structures of the world being created to serve white European people. People from vastly different economic backgrounds could have the same “white privileged”.
    Having generational wealth regardless of race would have to just be ‘economic privilege’ if you ask me ?

      I always think it’s easier to communicate a ‘minority tax’ than white privilege. Discrimination is a tax minorities pay the absence of it is white privilege

      No. Privilege accorded to groups or individuals by powerful people. There are not privileges accorded to whites in the UK.

    The young guy might be shocked to discover that the UK's first religion was Paganism and it was the Romans that brought Christianity to these shores!! The UK has always been a multi faith country as far back as documented, Judaism has been around since the middle ages, the first purpose built mosque was in Surrey in 1888 but Islam has been around for much longer in the UK! And in the 2001 UK Census 390,227 stated that there Religion was Jedi!! This is a Secular state, and we are much better off being a secular state than what a repressive religious state like Dubai is.
