This is 100% down to my rose-tinted memories of when packs for the Sims 4 started coming out, but the only thing going through my brain was the words _Luxury Party_ on repeat. I'd love a Luxury Party refresh because I honestly love a lot of the assets, even the janky ones like the future cube, and I'd love to see a more expanded version of them.

It's possible they could pull a Desert Luxe and make it free for the first few weeks and then if you're late to the party it's regular kit price, if that is what the anniversary thing is. Still annoying but slightly less so than charging right from the get-go. It's likely there'll be at least some base game free stuff though, so if it IS an anniversary kit, it will probably be in addition to stuff no one will ever need to pay for.
I doubt it since the actual anniversary isn't until September, I don't think they'll give us the actual anniversary stuff so soon. I could see maybe some sort of party themed kit. Like birthday party decor, or something like that teasing the anniversary but I think they'll do a base game update later in the year for the actual anniversary. Remember there's a legal wedding and a ceremonial wedding. Most people do both at the same time, some pick one or the other, and some do them both but at different times. All are valid and I hope you guys have so much fun planning. We did a secret nerd wedding that was full of nods to our favorite fandoms like Dr. Who and Zelda. What I believe the SDX drop could be is a willow creek refresh. The W for willow creek and the person looked relatively similar to Bella goth. Where does Bella goth live? Willow creek *Mic Drop* And it can’t be a Goth family refresh as they’ve already had a refresh. Unless it’s their house, but I doubt it. Bella means beautiful so when I saw them mention a "Beautiful SDX drop" I immediately thought of Bella Goth - and the dress in the video looks a lot like her dress. The only thing is the Goths already had their makeover so I'm not sure what it could mean.

Maybe 'Get Together' Expansion Pack refresh? Bcs when you load the game it always says something like "remember me?', and the sensation part points out to the 'club system thingy' and the disco ball, gnomes, etc. Reminds me of that pack so much.

I’m a day of coordinator in central Florida and am beyond excited to see which venue you end up picking! The wedding planning process can be stressful but it’s also so much fun!
Kayla... Enjoy planning the your wedding celebration. Don't feel weird about it or anything. Just consider it your long delayed "Wedding Party" as you really didn't get to have the party part. Having a ceremony isn't weird either as many renew their vows. Considering how much you don't like being the center of attention and such... I'm very touched that you want to do the whole shebang. I still remember at one of our marriage counseling sessions before we got married THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS AGO.... discussing my hesitancy to do the whole wedding thing. We were going to do it at the church regardless... but I was thinking it might be better just to have a private ceremony without any guests other than our immediate family as we really didn't' have a lot of money to do the wedding. My pastor explained that whatever we decided was fine as the important part was our commitment to each other. HOWEVER... He also explained that culturally including our wider family, friends, etc. was also important to consider as it symbolized our joining the wider community as a couple And I hadn't realized that it is actually a common practice in the Methodist service that he did... to ask our family and friends to stand AND THEY ALSO make a pledge to help and support us a couple spiritually. I remember an uncle on my husband's side joking that he was surprised by it but liked it... and now that he had pledged it that we had better be on our toes as he was taking the success of our marriage personally! :grinning_face: :smiling_face_with_hearts: And I guess it worked as we were married for 26 years. Sadly my husband passed away when he was only 52.... so I'm REALLY glad that we have those special memories to share.
Many have been saying for a long time that we'd like a daycare/pet sitting career that SIMS could run from their home. I am tired of taking my pets on vacation.
@@aureliux.- I miss it too! Daycare and horse breeding were my two favourite careers in TS3. I think I remember that running a bakery/diner or retail shop was my fav in TS2. But none of these things so far have been done quite as well in sequels, so I won’t bother hoping for a good Daycare career reboot. I’ll welcome any work-from-home option, but with low expectations.

It would be so cool if the sims made a pack that’s about languages, and each sim world would have a different version of simlish that are “different languages” and others have to learn them to communicate with other sims 🙏🙏
as a linguistics major, i would love this. WHAT AN AMAZING IDEA??? even if we cant tell the differences between the languages, bc we dont even know simlish really lmao, it would be soo cool to be able to have your sims learn another language or variant of simlish
or like sims born in different worlds to were they live could have a social interaction like "teach words in oasis spring language" or they could have moodlets like "embarrassed, for interacting with sim who didnt speak ____" and some sims would only under stand some languages and it would say in their sim profile
I like this in theory, but in practice I feel like that this would cause problems. In the sims 4 the sims that spawn in community lots and the environment can be from anywhere, so imagine going to a bar in your home world but no two sims speak the same language. Plus there are career and gameplay options tied to certain worlds, old saves where you have existing relationships with sims from other worlds, I just feel like it would be buggy. I could totally see this working on a game closer to the sims 3 where it’s open world with more limited travel outside of that world.
Congrats! We did a teeny courthouse wedding first and then had the big one with family and friends like 6 months later. No visas, we just wanted a quiet day for us first! Do what works for you two!
re: wedding: my husband and i got married at a courthouse in 2022 and had a traditional ceremony/reception on our first anniversary and it was so so much fun!! i feel like it was even more meaningful for us bc we could actually speak to being married in our vows. i was so emotional and anxious i don’t understand how people plan a wedding and get legally married on the same day lol

with the symbols on the two kits we know about i would say its safe to assume the icons on the cards give clues, for the stuff pack, im getting healing crystals, reiki and jewellry crafting, with this they can incorporate the crystals in the base game, the gem cutting machine whilst introducing a whole interactive new career, and jobs, as well as "rags to riches" style jobs that can be done from home

Crumbling Isle in Windenburg will be the perfect place to put a castle. I never cared for the modern homes that are there in a default save, but that neighborhood, like Glimmerbrook and the two 30 x 20 lots in Cavalier Cove are some of my favorite places to build because of their idyllic natural settings without established architectural styles in the surrounding areas (provided you bulldoze the existing EA lots in the area.)
- SDX drop sounds like we are getting some Judith Ward inspired CAS (because my other guess would be Julia Wright but cocktail and diamonds don't match her style) - Sparkling stuff sounds like we can use gems to make jewelry and stuff - I feel like we are getting something 70s related too (the boots, the bracelet... )
Jewelry crafting and a gem maker machine would be great fun, especially if they used the things we can already find in the various worlds. We already can "refine" jewels by sending them away, but the only uses are in those Selvadorado totems and in the crowns. It would be nice to use them for jewelry. But having more hobbies (such as gem making and jewelry making) would be nice. Thank you for explaining about the wedding venue. When Dan came over and youall got married, you mentioned that you'd like to have a regular wedding later when it would be easier to arrange. When you mentioned "wedding venue", I figured that's what you were going to do. Thank you for confirming. (If people think it's weird, they can consider it like a vow renewal or a delayed reception. Although frankly, if they think it's weird, they can go stuff it! I think it's lovely that you're going to be able to have your wedding party!)

My husband and I just did our official “wedding” this summer after already being married for a few years as we also had visa issues in the middle of covid (that was a stressful time) It was so worth it, especially since both of our families live in other countries, it was just so nice to get everyone together and celebrate. For the gem kit, I think it makes sense that it’s all crystal related. Especially with having the medieval castle pack coming, I think that’s an element that would work well for a medieval vibe, but also a modern vibe. Especially since crystals and gems have been trending for a few years. Not to mention the style of the earrings gives me like a clairvoyant vibe, which ties in well with gems. I hope that’s what it is cause it would make it so much more fun to decorate with the paranormal stuff pack. So I feel like there will be a mix of cas and buy items. like the crystal gnome would actually be really cute. I’m not a huge fan of the gnome ( I almost never reach for them when I build.) But I think a crystal gnome would be cute. I think these are all gonna work together in a way. The celebration one could work with the gems and fashion packs. Even the personalize pack sounds like it could work for like extravagant birthday outfits/jewelry. I think the W may just be alluding to an initial necklace. Like maybe each swatch is a different letter. Although it would have make more sense for it to be simlish, so maybe not. I can’t wait to see these!

Bella means beautiful so when I saw them mention a "Beautiful SDX drop" I immediately thought of Bella Goth - and the dress in the video looks a lot like her dress. The only thing is the Goths already had their makeover so I'm not sure what it could mean.

@@dothefoxtrot I think it’s most likely a Landgraab refresh. They’re like the only iconic NPCs that haven’t been given a refresh yet and that last Sims live talked about their lore, which is what they did w the calientes right before their refresh

Maybe 'Get Together' Expansion Pack refresh? Bcs when you load the game it always says something like "remember me?', and the sensation part points out to the 'club system thingy' and the disco ball, gnomes, etc. Reminds me of that pack so much.

Kayla... Enjoy planning the your wedding celebration. Don't feel weird about it or anything. Just consider it your long delayed "Wedding Party" as you really didn't get to have the party part. Having a ceremony isn't weird either as many renew their vows. Considering how much you don't like being the center of attention and such... I'm very touched that you want to do the whole shebang. I still remember at one of our marriage counseling sessions before we got married THIRTY-EIGHT YEARS AGO.... discussing my hesitancy to do the whole wedding thing. We were going to do it at the church regardless... but I was thinking it might be better just to have a private ceremony without any guests other than our immediate family as we really didn't' have a lot of money to do the wedding. My pastor explained that whatever we decided was fine as the important part was our commitment to each other. HOWEVER... He also explained that culturally including our wider family, friends, etc. was also important to consider as it symbolized our joining the wider community as a couple And I hadn't realized that it is actually a common practice in the Methodist service that he did... to ask our family and friends to stand AND THEY ALSO make a pledge to help and support us a couple spiritually. I remember an uncle on my husband's side joking that he was surprised by it but liked it... and now that he had pledged it that we had better be on our toes as he was taking the success of our marriage personally! :grinning_face: :smiling_face_with_hearts: And I guess it worked as we were married for 26 years. Sadly my husband passed away when he was only 52.... so I'm REALLY glad that we have those special memories to share.

@@aureliux.- I miss it too! Daycare and horse breeding were my two favourite careers in TS3. I think I remember that running a bakery/diner or retail shop was my fav in TS2. But none of these things so far have been done quite as well in sequels, so I won’t bother hoping for a good Daycare career reboot. I’ll welcome any work-from-home option, but with low expectations.

It would be so cool if the sims made a pack that’s about languages, and each sim world would have a different version of simlish that are “different languages” and others have to learn them to communicate with other sims 🙏🙏
as a linguistics major, i would love this. WHAT AN AMAZING IDEA??? even if we cant tell the differences between the languages, bc we dont even know simlish really lmao, it would be soo cool to be able to have your sims learn another language or variant of simlish

or like sims born in different worlds to were they live could have a social interaction like "teach words in oasis spring language" or they could have moodlets like "embarrassed, for interacting with sim who didnt speak ____" and some sims would only under stand some languages and it would say in their sim profile
I like this in theory, but in practice I feel like that this would cause problems. In the sims 4 the sims that spawn in community lots and the environment can be from anywhere, so imagine going to a bar in your home world but no two sims speak the same language. Plus there are career and gameplay options tied to certain worlds, old saves where you have existing relationships with sims from other worlds, I just feel like it would be buggy. I could totally see this working on a game closer to the sims 3 where it’s open world with more limited travel outside of that world.
Congrats! We did a teeny courthouse wedding first and then had the big one with family and friends like 6 months later. No visas, we just wanted a quiet day for us first! Do what works for you two!
I think with all the jewellery related things and the goth kit, there’s gonna be more facial and body jewellery added to the game which I’m here for!
re: wedding: my husband and i got married at a courthouse in 2022 and had a traditional ceremony/reception on our first anniversary and it was so so much fun!! i feel like it was even more meaningful for us bc we could actually speak to being married in our vows. i was so emotional and anxious i don’t understand how people plan a wedding and get legally married on the same day lol

with the symbols on the two kits we know about i would say its safe to assume the icons on the cards give clues, for the stuff pack, im getting healing crystals, reiki and jewellry crafting, with this they can incorporate the crystals in the base game, the gem cutting machine whilst introducing a whole interactive new career, and jobs, as well as "rags to riches" style jobs that can be done from home

Crumbling Isle in Windenburg will be the perfect place to put a castle. I never cared for the modern homes that are there in a default save, but that neighborhood, like Glimmerbrook and the two 30 x 20 lots in Cavalier Cove are some of my favorite places to build because of their idyllic natural settings without established architectural styles in the surrounding areas (provided you bulldoze the existing EA lots in the area.)

Jewelry crafting and a gem maker machine would be great fun, especially if they used the things we can already find in the various worlds. We already can "refine" jewels by sending them away, but the only uses are in those Selvadorado totems and in the crowns. It would be nice to use them for jewelry. But having more hobbies (such as gem making and jewelry making) would be nice.
Thank you for explaining about the wedding venue. When Dan came over and youall got married, you mentioned that you'd like to have a regular wedding later when it would be easier to arrange. When you mentioned "wedding venue", I figured that's what you were going to do. Thank you for confirming. (If people think it's weird, they can consider it like a vow renewal or a delayed reception. Although frankly, if they think it's weird, they can go stuff it! I think it's lovely that you're going to be able to have your wedding party!)

I think the first box is the two kits the community voted on, the SDX drop is giving another luxury brand collab vibe for me, the sparkling stuff pack is giving vintage glamour meets paranormal stuff but make it weird/random/"unique" or somewhat like a crystal meditator vibe, the celebratory build kit is giving me birthday party but maybe that's because my birthday is around the corner, and the co0created style kit is giving luxury grunge ish vibe

Congrats on the wedding! My husband and I just did our official “wedding” this summer after already being married for a few years as we also had visa issues in the middle of covid (that was a stressful time)
It was so worth it, especially since both of our families live in other countries, it was just so nice to get everyone together and celebrate. I hope you guys have a wonderful wedding when it comes!

For the gem kit, I think it makes sense that it’s all crystal related. Especially with having the medieval castle pack coming, I think that’s an element that would work well for a medieval vibe, but also a modern vibe. Especially since crystals and gems have been trending for a few years. Not to mention the style of the earrings gives me like a clairvoyant vibe, which ties in well with gems. I hope that’s what it is cause it would make it so much more fun to decorate with the paranormal stuff pack.
So I feel like there will be a mix of cas and buy items. like the crystal gnome would actually be really cute. I’m not a huge fan of the gnome ( I almost never reach for them when I build.) But I think a crystal gnome would be cute.
I think these are all gonna work together in a way. The celebration one could work with the gems and fashion packs. Even the personalize pack sounds like it could work for like extravagant birthday outfits/jewelry. I think the W may just be alluding to an initial necklace. Like maybe each swatch is a different letter. Although it would have make more sense for it to be simlish, so maybe not. I can’t wait to see these!

CRAFTY HOBBIES!! I remember when they were doing a survey for Nifty Knitting that many of the options were soooo cool, I wish for another skill-themes stuff pack, maybe even a game pack combining all of these and more!! I loved the tea infusions idea but alas 😆 Jewellery focused pack would be FANTASTIC, especially that children have soooo little accessories - two earrings from Get to Work and that's it 💀
Picking a venue is so exciting. We picked ours in December and it’s so cool we can finally get more into the planning, like food & vendors and stuff!!
I can't wait for the Medieval build kit and I'm excited that you two are taking that step in planning your wedding! My brother did something similar where he got married and then about a year later he was able to have a big wedding with the whole family. It was really nice.
