@GlaciusDreams have you noticed improvements or significant differences in your health/energy/vitality since you've acquire these new healthier diet habits?
Thank you for all you do and for your AMAZING tips, John. I now cut my produce into 1/4 inch pieces with my Nama Juicer and it has made a world of difference! No more clogged machine, more juice and much easier cleaning process! I was thinking of returning machine before I tried your tips! I juice vegetables along with a few fruits. The carrots, celery, beets , ginger and tumeric were causing problems. I now cut everything in 1/4 inch pieces as you suggested! What a game changer! Thank you Again!!!
If you just juice carrots, you should definitely add lemon and/or lime if you want to store for a week in the fridge. I’m currently juicing 1/4 of a lemon plus 1/4 of a lime (or just 1/2 of a lemon) in each 1qt mason jar of carrot juice, otherwise it won’t stay for more than 4 days. I also use my vacuum sealer to seal the mason jars tight.

Freeze it. I have juiced since 1992. Make what you want. There are no rules. Change it up, IF you want to. I usually have kale, cucumber, celery, apple, lemon & ginger & a carrot/apple juice. I also make fresh OJ in the morning. I use a Hamilton Beach juicer & have had it for about 22 years. I also have a back up. 1 came from Kmart & the other came from walmart. Both work great. You can ask the produce person if they have items that are over ripe . being thrown away- etc.... That can save you $. :-)
John one thing I have noticed recently is that Aldi has started to improve the produce it carries and is also including more organic than previously. I think they are making an effort to up their quality and prices usually good (avocado recently .57 cents ea. and they look better than in past) also carrying wider range of options organic banana .59 cents lb.) Also I’ve found you can use the food saver vacuum to seal store bought glass bottles by putting them in one of the food saver containers allowing non mason jars to be used in vacuum for those the food saver adapters won’t work.
Thank you for sharing all your knowledge with us, it has saved all of us time and money. My question is, why is it ok to put in a whole half romaine and not a celery stick? Is celery really that much heartier?
Your awesome. Bought a juicer a whole ago just haven't used it yet. How much does this pump cost? After I get one or a cheaper alternative. I'll start. Would hate to go through all that prep and spoil my juice.b
John, would you consider doing a video that compares this vacuum sealer vs. the Food Saver vacuum system? I have the Food Saver, as I am quite sure a lot of us do, but would consider the new one if proven to be better. Many thanks.
What is your opinion of adding some of the fiber back in for some juices and then blending in vacuum blender with juice (for example with mango, etc.) I love both the Greenstar and the Tribest Slow Star and I have vacuum blender and vacuum container for Vitamix (who really seems to still be resisting vacuum blenders in their line). Thanks as always for your tips and ideas. Thats personal preference. I personally drink juice before I eat anything for the day. Its a good way to "break your fast" from sleeping instead of eating food,IMO.
I noticed you included the whole peel of the lemon. I could be not remembering correctly but I thought you instructed us to remove the outer layer of citrus and just leave the white rind. How much is the blendtec vacuum pump going to cost?
Lemon and Limes and Kumquats can be juiced WHOLE. Oranges, Tangerines, Grapefruits, coloring should be removed keeping white pith. Estimated Pump Kit Cost ~$200
so is John the first one to try the vacuum thing for removing air from juice?... cuz man that is so great... and if he came up with that, NICE!!.. quite astute for that observation
Look forwards to that pump kit coming out. Will the lids and suction cup/tube be available seperately? I live off-grid in the UK and use a hand pump which can take a tube like that.
Hi John, in a recent video you showed us the sans air bottles. I bought it and tried storing celery juice in it. The celery juice separates and turns brown. Why does that happen and how do I prevent it?
Great video. When i make several juices, I put them in the freezer for an hour so they get cold . I need to get a thermometer to check the temp. So one of those food savers won't work as well?
@@beautyqueen6577 I sure hope it's not just for the pump. At that rate there are plenty of similar alternatives for much less which would pull just as much air out.

I'm thinking I'm gonna buy one of these from you as soon as I can. May I ask, I'm a whisky lover, would I have to give up the occasional whisky if I start juicing? Or can I balance the 2. I've been wondering about this lately.
Juicing is healthy. I can't say the same for whiskey. I personally dont drink, but will never tell you what to do. I would say make fresh juice with the juicer and mix it with the whiskey, that would be better than whiskey alone, but juice alone would be best.
Thank you John I feel like a million dollars when I juice. It’s just a chore and a half . Any suggestions? To make it easier. I’m a Officer and don’t have extra time
