I think Jim Gaffigan is amazing!! He is so funny. I really like the way he mostly keeps it clean and doesn't swear often. I don't have to kick my kids out of the room and everyone can watch him. His show is so hilarious and I find myself laughing out loud which I don't do a lot.
I really enjoyed his work during Covid. He would have dinner with his family and do skits with his kids. One that was funny was his sons were trying to take the show away from him.

I saw Richard Jeni at the Comedy Connection in Boston in the early 90s and he DESTROYED. We sat up front + I died. DIED. I hv never laughed so hard at a comedy show before (or after), but I had tears, cheeks hurt, the whole nine. He looked down at me bcuz I had to sink down in my seat to try to stop. It sucked to hear that someone, who I’ll never forget for mkg me laugh harder than anyone else, was suffering himself. RIP RJ, you + your talent aren’t forgotten.

I do have a question for anyone who is in the know. Do comics do specials for HBO or Netflixx when they are done with touring with the material?
Not necessarily. Some will continue using the same (or some of the same) material for a tour they are currently doing. But if the special streams at the end of a tour, then yes they are probably ready to move on and work on new stuff.

And he heard the moon landing as they pulled off to the side road and looked up at the moon, but he couldn't see it. So did it happen or was that just firesign theater doing another wacky bit?

I did see David in Clearwater and he was hilarious. He did seem like his back was bothering him, though. A lot of stool leaning. At one point, a lady got up to go out and he commented, “I’m going to need you to leave for this one”. Perfect timing for a comedian on top of his game. Great show David!

For people who thought this podcast was supposed to be primarily SNL focused and are disappointed that it's turned into another podcast with celebrities talking about their career and promoting upcoming projects, try The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers podcast. They actually talk about behind the scenes stories and their experiences. It's what most of us thought this was supposed to be.

He is good for the simple crowd, or young kids. He lives off that impression of an audience rebuttal voice schtick. Most people are justifiably too hate-filled to listen to him. He's better than the Rogan queers. He's better than David Cross actually. Gary Gulman is better at the lame comedy. Chad Thornsberry is way underrated and the cleanest.
please stop dissecting comedy...this pod cast is loosing steam. please review previous episodes and review what works. you guys had it and seem to be loosing it. sorry for being Debbie downer. just disepointed.

She seems pretty quick, it would be fun for everyone, I hope it could happen though I know these things aren't always easy and entertainment. For people who thought this podcast was supposed to be primarily SNL focused and are disappointed that it's turned into another podcast with celebrities talking about their career and promoting upcoming projects, try The Lonely Island and Seth Meyers podcast.
They actually talk about behind the scenes stories and their experiences. It's what most of us thought this was supposed to be.
I mean, tbf, how many episodes you gonna get from those limitations, and in a row? I'm cool with Spadoodle & Carvey's format. When there's an SNL'er on, they dish behind the scenes shnit. Chill. 😎
