Hello great videos on the mk1.just a quick question I know it's off the topic here but my horn is not giving a clear sound when it's pressed but if it's tested directly on the battery it's normal what could be wrong I have checked the fuse and wires and they are fine

Hi PJ. Hope you are well. I hope you can help.
I have a golf with the motor recently rebuilt new everything and rebore. The problem I have now is smoke coming out of the breather pipe. And when i connect the pipe to the intake, the engine doesn’t idle smoothly and cuts off sometimes. But runs perfectly without the breather pipe.

The high rpm oil sensor connector damaged how could I fix it

Buy a new connector remember or search for the wire order and bobs your uncle

to access the oil pump do i need to remove the top?

Nope ..you remove the sump sir

There's twenty 10mm little bolts to remove ..then the oil pump is held by two 13 mm bolts..

thanks cause i changed the oil pump but i do not think the machanic used the brand new one i bought cause the oil light and sound always go off

@@lordstark5292 not always the oil pump that's the issue ..the Mk1 is prone for that oil buzzer to act up erraticly...did your mechanic diagnose the issue as the oil pump?

@@keveshannaidoo5670 I have a citi 1.3 got it from my dad.. 500k on the clock engine untouched.. very reliable.. she's 23yrs old and still runs perfectly fine... all you need to do is maintain her
