I saw another video, with these instructions as well, I went and tried to fix it myself, I did record it as well, It did not work for me, mine was not loose. It was tight as can get, I loosed it and then tightened it back up, still did not work. Any other suggestions. feel free to check my video to see if I did something wrong.
I have a 2010 esv plat. Same issue with arm rest. It appears that mine had already been tightened and the nut is aluminum. My nut is bent so I need the specialty nut and or post. The post screws in with a star socket. Luckily I had a set from another project. Since the aluminum nut is deformed when I tighten it it just turns the post which will not tighten it. I'm going to try and find a new bolt and post.
While they will certainly tighten up, mine loosen up considerably after 2-3 times going up and down. I think I’ll get a split ring washer to throw in there to keep some tension on it
Me and you are in the same now since my passenger wasn't wearing a belt. In the best-case scenario, you take it to an interior shop that knows their stuff. A bracket internally is bent so it doesn't stop it where it supposed to go.
I’m sorry did you expect me to tear down a seat just to tighten it ;/ all jokes aside yes it loosens eventually it just needs a little tightening and your back in business
Thank you for making the video. Needed the correct size.

Would be helpful for some to show how the cap comes off so people aren’t breaking theirs.
Thanks so much!! Saved me $100!!!
