Great information - super attitude. Congratulations on the first big YT step - 1,000 subscriers. Way to go. Now I think you can start to build hours and qualify for YT revenue. Keep at it (might want to paper over your plate number in other episodes).
Muchas Gracias !!, no sabia de ese botón y nunca me di cuenta quién lo movió a OFF ya estaba por comprar los liftgate a ver si era eso, me salvaste GRCIAS TOTALES !!
I was hoping for a solution but mine is having a totally different problem. My latch will not “lock” so my hatch or lift gate, stays unlocked and never fully closed. 2009 suburban
Hello Georg thanks for the informative video but i have still problem before the door open half and then close immediately, then i checked the clutch, motor and open the back cover and verify all the stuff is find ok, but now it is not moving at all. what is fuse number is it 74 if so ot is ok or the electronic module installed on the motor.?? pls help thanks
Okay, so my 2009 Tahoe has the half lift and shut down issue with my power button on. So I turned "off" the power butyon to off, excited to think I could at least manually open it. Thinking I could open by handle button until replaced struts. Okay, thought it was solved...I was just thrilled to even get to open it as my big dog usually goes everywhere with me. Anyway, well, now my liftgate handle button doesnt open it..i have really pushed in all positions possible on handle button but nothing. The manual button for the back glass DID work, however i never open that glass. I pulled the fuse out but really dont know if it would control both back glass and liftgate. Not sure how to tell if fuse is burnt out or not. Any advice out there? I will Google my questions of course but it would be very encouraging to hear from someone who it may be like a "what a dummy" moment...😂. Im sure i sound like one! But thanks for any help and the video too! Be well!
Only issue I am having with my 2013 is a popping sound when my liftgate is opening. I was wondering if it could be a hinge bushing issue? maybe a slight mis-alignment issue? or maybe I just need to replace the support shocks? Any one experience this "popping" noise as the lift gate is coming up?
Yes...today mine started popping..I think it's the gears on the motor straining and slipping to lift the gate. I believe my two non motorized pistons are failing to help lift and support door while the motor tries to push up the weight of door. I'm about to go disable the lift function and test auxiliary pistons.
If it was your shocks your liftgate wouldnt open due to the weight. My educated guess would be the gears teeth inside the mechanism have worn down and are catching another one. If you havent already i would check your gears for the lift mechanism. Then proceed from there! Best of luck to you friend!
My back door wont open the story is behind that. I change out the struts of the rear door of the one that connect to the motor.(while on the phone chatting with a friend ) meaning I wasn’t really focused I actually pulled out the strut from the one that pops the whole door open I noticed it was the door struts there are 2 struts for the window and 2 for the door and there’s one for the motor that pop the door open electrically. Well my smart self took that one out I noticed it n just I decided to fix that the next day as it got dark on me ..ever since then it won’t open
I have the same problem and have not been able to figure it out!! It all started when I tried to open the back and it was frozen shut. Things have thawed here but unable to open it and the “rear access open” hasn’t gone away
It's been a while since your comment, but I've noticed that when my Tahoe has that message, I just have to go back there and lightly press the hatch/gate closed a little further, and it will lock properly and knows that it's closed then.
Mine every time I open it it slams it self shut hard and the motor makes a noise and when I shut it off the an try manually it’ feels impossible to lift an would not stay up
This guy should have 30,000 likes. 👍 Never noticed the off Button. Was about to start searching for motors.😅 Thank you sir!
I cannot believe it took until 1:45 of the video for him to tell me what the issue was. Never knew that button existed. Thank you so much for this.
You heaven sent. I have a 2011 suburban and thought the motor went out or something. Option 1 worked perfectly fine. Never noticed it 😅 but thanks.
I have a 2011 and where is the button located?!
Thank you so much. You just save me a lot of headaches. I check the fuses and they were fine. It was the button
awesome. thanks. this is like the 4th video I watched and the only one that was informative. thanks again.
The trunk button is so stupid thank you for fixing my issue ❤️🤘
Thank you much ..didn't even know that button was up there
2012 yukon XL. After changing my struts and still having the same problem, I tried messing with the harness. That fixed it!
Thanks
We love to hear that thank you for your comment!
👍 I was having problem with my rear door not opening or close. And I watched this video and it works. Thank you keep up the good work.

I’m having the exact same issue. Any update on a fix for yours ?
Yep. I had the first problem. Haha the button was turned off. Thank you for pointing that out
Thank you sir.... it was the button. You rock man!
This is fabulous! Thank you so much, I never noticed the button before!
You saved me a lot of money and time. THANK YOU 👍👍
Great video had it fixed before video finished thanks to your video
Thank you, my friend. My button was on the off position.😂

Thank you sir. It reset 1st option.
Goodlook'N B.G., appreciate this, and Thanx again.
Wow, thank you! Option 1
Thanks, I didn't know an off button existed!
Awesome video....thank you so much. It worked...
I think my issue is related to the first one. My switch doesn't click into place when press it. Does that mean the switch is no good?

Thank you so much! Happy wife, happy life...
My 2011 suburban only opens when I switch it off. If it’s running it won’t open at all. Haven’t found any videos for this. Anyone law have this issue?
Did you find a solution? My 2011 has the same issue.
Didn't fix mine, good video

Wym by the mist

No problem 👍
I keep consistently popping fuses but I have no experience tracing that sort of problem

What did you do to fix this? I am having a very similar problem
Is that the guy from the office?
My problem is not that it won't open it will not lock or it's making noise when it's closed and my inside lights won't go off
on my suburban i found all my problems were broken wires in that boot harness.
Has anyone experienced their dash saying “REAR ACCESS OPEN” when it’s definitely closed? Especially when going over bumps or cattle guards?
Check the back glass. Mine will pop itself
Have you figured it out yet? I have the same problem

your rear hatch struts are blown out
Mine won't open at all power or manual
Mine wont close after open.
