Helldivers 2 - Arc Blitzer Buff vs Terminids (Spread Democracy) - Helldive Solo (No Deaths)

- We are trying out the new patch (01.000.300) on the Spread Democracy mission on helldive difficulty solo with the buffed Arc Blitzer using the Arc loadout (with commentary)! And solo is supposedly harder now with the increased patrol spawns.
Loadout:
Armour: CE-74 Light Breaker
Primary: Arc-12 Blitzer
Secondary: P-19 Redeemer
Grenade: G-10 Incendiary
Stratagems: Eagle 500KG & Airstrike, Shield Backpack, Arc Thrower

EDIT - From the community manager (Spitz) on the official discord regarding the solo spawns: "Patrols didn't spawn as often as they should when there are less than 4 players - the intention is that 1 player has 1/4th of the patrols compared to 4 players, but it used to be 1/6th. So rather than arbitrarily making the game harder, I guess they just put it where it was meant to be."
Thoughts on the patch (01.000.300) based on this run:
*Arc Blitzer* - Feels really good to be honest, decent fire rate, damage, and stagger to deal with bugs at close proximity, and it does have good range as well. Able to stagger spewers which I find are a big threat. Don't have to aim as accurately so you can just look back and spam while running. Though the last time I used it was quite a long time ago, so anyone who have more experience with it, please share your thoughts!
*Solo Spawns* - From this run it feels like there are a bit more spawns (though will need to play more to test it properly). I didn't change my playstyle significantly and had over 700+ kills, whereas usually I would net about 400~500 kills. There does seem to be more patrol spawns, especially at 15:20 as there's three patrols during a single objective when usually there's just one.
Well me and several other Divers maybe quiting till they fix the spawns. Me and one other diver played and it was impossible no one extracted. 100's of bugs spawn and the waves didnt stop. So now its impossible to level up especially since we were working our way up to get super samples for better strats.
Love my Blitzer, never stopped using it. This is even better!

What changed? Fire rate? If so which firerate did it have before?

After testing a few weapons last night i think the blitzer / senator are my new goto for bugs. That speedloader when empty on the senator is great so is its damage buff.

2:31 the arc weapon inconsistency that's still an issue...I really hope they get this fixed on the upcoming hotfix this week
Yeah, plus there weren't any bug corpses or terrain blocking the shots either.
would have taken consistency over fire rate any day. both would be the best. thinking its a placeholder but then again they don't seem to acknowledge that arc weapons are jank so who knows

This may be just me: I find the inconsistency when I am trying to walk forward and shoot. I notice few misfires when strafing.
even though its a shotgun you still have to aim to do max damage to a target
apparently they removed the ability to ping 2nd objectives you havent found on the mini map :(

I tried The Blitzer after buff, it has always had good damage and penetration, it basically has medium penetration and capable of killing even heavily armored bug chaffs pretty well even before, even better than the base Punisher, and INFINITE AMMO...I didn't really want them to buff the fire rate honestly, because it was TEETERING on the edge of becomign too strong, especially compared to stuff like the Punisher. The fire rate was literally the only thing that set them apart, but now the Blitzer is literally just a straight upgrade to the Punisher...Buffs are cool and all but I ain't a fan if it is at the cost of other weapons.
I'm lvl 150, and I've played Blitzer quite a bit even before the buff, if you never stood still with it, you're basically untouchable indefinitely...I'd think if the Blitzer now has such good fire rate, it'd at least need a bit of reduction in its damage potency or stagger, cuz it's literally stronger than the Punisher (better penetration) while also be able to clear horde much more efficiently. Despite having less dmg number, the Blitzer can 1 shot kill even Brood Commanders up close, while the Punisher can't even do that.
Or perhaps, buff the 2 first Punishers more, idk. at this point I wouldn't mind if they give Punisher and Slugger like...a bit more fire rate. Not that the current fire rate is BAD, but it's just not as adequate to how the Blitzer is right now. Maybe base Punisher could also use more damage, cuz again, its lower penetration = lower dmg VS Blitzer.

To be fair I didn't play with it a whole lot, and the last time I tried it felt underwhelming. Usually if you pair it with another support weapon it is okay, but otherwise just using primary + secondary it doesn't seem to be a reliable option (compared to Slugger which was what I used often before the stagger nerf). Perhaps they could balance the Blitzer by reducing the effective range? I think it was able to reach ~30 metres which is quite far.

Yeah, it was pretty consistent in this run, maybe just got a bit luckier with the timing and placement. Though I recall a couple of them already took damage from the Arc Thrower / Airstrike before the 500 KG.

How have you not done these missions before. They're like the first missions you do at level 1 lol
Doesn't look like much has changed and there's still no reason to collect medals or requisition once you've completed everything. My current mission is getting 250 super samples until there's something else to do.
Haha that was like 2 months ago so I don't remember what the objective was. 😅 Yeah, game is still the same, this patch is mainly just some balancing and bug fixes.
@@xD3viLz I don't think this will change up style much. Maybe more reloading for some weapons. I did notice the armour penetration was increased for the railgun, so might look at that. I'd still like some motivation to bother collecting medals or requisition. (1 more mech drop for spending req per dive. Or 3 500kg for that dive if you spend some req)
@@shockruk Yeah, it does open up more options which I feel is a good thing. Railgun and senator buffs seems quite decent!
That's a good idea, spending some of the requisition/samples for benefits, perhaps even to add on some positive mission modifiers.
why does your character keep yelling out of ammo on an infinite ammo weapon
Maybe cause I was spamming left click while it was recharging.

Eruptor testing?
I've used it extensively since the quick-swap tech was discovered and you are forced to run to POI for ammo or resupply now (as a solo). With more patrols coming...I don't think it's very doable and I only tried on lvl 7, which I casually strolled through before. It's less the gun and more about the enemy numbers.

Yeah, will definitely try it. I really liked the Eruptor before, and now that they fix the "pull-in" bug it'll probably be even better!

Yeah, it is definitely still playable. Might take some time for them to adjust and try out different builds. Though it will be trickier to do a full clear now within the time limit.
Can’t wait for me to grind towards this gun just for them to nerf it right before I get it
