I don't have any idea why are you concerned about being sunburned. While here in the Pacific where I live all men here have no t-shirts and can work all day under the sun.
Another thing that can happen with heat stroke is your hands tighten into claws and you can't unclench. I was a roofer for 11 years and the heat finally got me. We were on a big building with the only way down being a steel ladder attached to the building. We couldn't get down until our hands worked. Had to build a shade fort out of building materials.
There are probably catfish in there as well. I love fishing flooded areas, they can be highly productive. I personally avoid fishing in the heat, and fish mainly at night in the summertime. This is what I would enjoy seeing: a night fishing trip for large catfish or gar.

I have been an athlete all my life, and I am now 72. You are correct in that once you have an adventure with heat exhaustion, you are more prone to having it again. Heat exhaustion is uncontrollable cramping. Heat stroke you go into convulsions, and can die if you don't get to the hospital like instantly. My adventure with heat exhaustion put me in the hospital over night and they IV 2 units of fluid into me. You need to replace your electrolytes! Salt is the #1 electrolyte you lose. If you just drink water, that makes it worse since all of the electrolytes in your body are water soluble, and you are basically flushing them out. That condition is called hyponatremia. I hate waking up at night with cramps..... Best product I have found is Precision Hydration, who have carbonated tabs that you add to water. You can choose your sodium levels. Being carbonated, it gets into your system far faster than the thicker Gatorade. The people that run the business are all marathoners, ultra runners, and ironman types. No association with them other than being a happy customer. Take care of yourself!
One thing they ask you is how heavy of a sweater you are. Me, I always was a very heavy sweater, and always had lots of white salt crystals on my skin and cloths. People like me need extra help. For most, Gatorade is okay. The one that I liked before I found PH was the neutral Pedialite which is for little kids. The colored and flavored stuff was too sweet for me. How much you need depends on a lot of things like how much you sweat, the weather, and how long you are out side. At the very least if you are cramping, have some salty potato chips along and water. Some running stores will carry carbonated tabs, Fizz and Nuun, but they don't have different sodium levels. Me, I salt everything, and take the highest level sodium tabs PH has. Yeah I got a bad case of heat exhaustion borderline stroke while fishing the Connecticut river. It was a hot mid July day, heat index over 100 and I was wading through this spot and was catching fish and getting hits all day. The river opened up in this one spot and there wasn't any shade to be seen. Luckily my brother was with me and he drove me home and I ended up just passing out on his couch.

I saw you and the guy from River Certified in Bowling Green Kentucky one day. I was hauling Channel Cats to a paylake in Glasgow. I know that he knows the area. Yall were in a older BMW.
I’m from Australia, over here you can’t lift up a peice of wood like that and not find deadly snakes living under there. I was nervous when you turned that wood over. One time I seen a row boat at the edge of a creek I was fishing near, it was upside down on the edge of the creek. I thought I’d take it for a ride, went over and flipped it over and found 6x coiled up large red belly black snakes (deadly) all waking up and going in all directions. I dropped it and ran like the wind. It was like a fight or flight reaction. My brain made the decision to run as soon as I seen the snakes before I even thought about it. It was weird, like primal instinct took over.
Man I been borderline to heat stroke and passed out on pavement in Vegas in late August. Fortunately my troop was an oak tree and threw me in the back seat of the contact truck and took me to the base hospital. I got packed in ice and got 4 bags of saline pumped in. I can't take extreme heat for too long anymore
small tip when lifting objects like that plywood even rocks an logs.. try lift away from ur body your legs an lower body is vulnerable to strikes from snakes and any critters under the object.
Those tilapia are pretty happy with the duckweed on the surface. They might taste good from there if you like tilapia. The bluegills too. Be careful with the heat. It's no joke and it's getting worse. I like Body Armor drinks instead of Gatorade, it tastes better to me and comes in better flavors. The coconut water is good for you too. Also maybe take some kind of float to go there. A blow up toy would work, even a doll 😂.
Your being smart brother! Piss on those who want to talk shit. Don't matter how tough someone thinks they are, let reality set in once for those cupcakes 🤙🎣
Our local lake used to be absolutely infested with tilapia! That's about as big as ours got. They were supposedly vegetarian fish but very territorial.
@TheCaptainbeefylog Yeah, they were stocked back in the 1980s, supposedly to control hydrilla, and weren't supposed to survive the winter. But in winter, they just moved to the hot water outlets at the power plant. Big Oops! 😬 30+ years later, they're still here but thankfully less plentiful.
Those would make gr8 Tilapia fillets. Nice catches. Get 1 of those rags ( I 4got wht thr called) u get thm wet & u can put around ur neck 2 stay cool. I also open up & stick it on my head, thn put my hat on 4 a lil while. Good luck 😊

What type of good rod can I use or reel to catch big fish like that?

I saw you and the guy from River Certified in Bowling Green Kentucky one day. I was hauling Channel Cats to a paylake in Glasgow. I know that he knows the area. Yall were in a older BMW.
I've never been to Kentucky (would like to) or met the guy from River Certified, sorry.
Glad you're ok
Stay safe 🙏❤
Please ,wear white/light colered clothes. If possible shorts and a UV hat! They're very light and keeps you cool. Like the video, please be safe 😃
I see your rocking the olight. Hope you like it.
Yeah, I had a partnership with them for a while, very good brand
small tip when lifting objects like that plywood even rocks an logs.. try lift away from ur body your legs an lower body is vulnerable to strikes from snakes and any critters under the object.
Don't think I've had Body Armor drinks
Definitely a dry well for a pumps. We have at many sewer plants
Cool
I love your videos and hope to see more and I hope you have an absolutely great day.
Thanks
Really awesome video
Thanks!
Smart water has a low ph. You need to drink spring water like Zepherhilles. Nice video bro! 🤙
Good to know, I'll switch
Bro, landing net, save the day. Great fishing.
Yeah, I remembered that mine was still in the garage about halfway there
this was good content
Thanks
Your being smart brother! Piss on those who want to talk shit. Don't matter how tough someone thinks they are, let reality set in once for those cupcakes 🤙🎣
The heat humbles us all
Awesome video!!! If you fish Louisiana, it would be awesome to make some content together
Bring salt tablets to replace the salt you lose when you sweat, electrolytes are good but you need salt replacement as well👍💪
Solid tip
@@wildlifefishingshow
I used to work in attics and stuff get heat exhaustion so the time, salt is big😉
Definitely take care of your self man I live in the Arizona desert the highs are above 110 all week thank goodness it’s dry at least
Good lord that does not sound fun
You should totally put some fish into that flooded staircase area, see if they can survive for a while
Our local lake used to be absolutely infested with tilapia! That's about as big as ours got. They were supposedly vegetarian fish but very territorial.
Most tilapia species are 'advertised' as herbivores but are truly omnivores.
Good luck 😊
Do you ever take disabled veterans out Alligator gar fishing with you? Always been a bucket list fish for me.
I'm a New Subscriber 👊🏼🔥😎 btw I would like to see a Catch And Cook video 😎
I have a few but I generally avoid that due to where I typically fish and what I typically fish for
So what was in the basement
Disappointment
Good job. But yes absolutely take care of yourself and stay cool and hydrated.
💯
