Yes we do have the elections early August, so noone can tell how it will go. But you see the tourist destination and safari places are safe. Maybe avoid Nairobi
Completely depends on the travel style and what you want to do. Mostly safari is the most expensive activity. But if you just rent a place, then it is possible. Or travel very lowbudget
