I just don't understand how it's like $100! It's just a different shell shape! Disappointed cause I wanted to replace my MX Master with this.... But it also has less features than the MX Master to make it worse.
Inelasticity of demand mainly. Also, this is a mouse directed to the older generations, some features might even be less desired (vertical scroll wheel etc.) or are just not worth the production cost because again, inelasticity of demand
New tooling and a molds were probably used, not to mention the design of the PCB and the buttons had to changed in order to accommodate the new shape. If demand rises for this kind of mice, you can expect to be priced lower.
@@SaschaEderer I don't have problems with the lack of those features by itself. It's the lack of those features at $100 that I don't think is reasonable.
@@julian23561 I agree that there needs to be new design and mold, but Anker is able to make a similar mouse at 1/5 of the cost. Yes, it's cheaper feeling, but the MX vertical doesn't feel it function 5x better... Just my opinion
I tried the MX Master, worst mouse I've tried ergonomically. Even a G502 is a massive improvement. Try the G603 if you want a good wireless mouse with good ergonomics. Only downside is it doesn't have hyper scrolling.
@@Drinkyoghurt mx master 2 x is a heavy brick .. weight is the key for comfort ... the vertical one is heavy too .. idk but these are failures of a mouse for me if you are power user... 80 - 110 grams .. no more ( mx master is 170g ...) ..
"Laws of physics" don't work this way my friend, it works completely opposite! For any wheel with evenly distributes weights, it will rotate same way regardless of which angle you put it in. If the wheel is of low quality with obviously unevenly distributed weight, say part of it is a lot heavier, the best way to keep it rotate in constant speed is to put it horizontal(make its axis pointing to the earth). The worst way is to put it vertical, like they way it's in Mx master mouse, in that case you will observe periodical speed change in each rotation, and the wheel will always stop at same location. Given the MX Vertical's wheel which is more horizontal than the master, it is actually better for rotation in terms of how they are positioned, because of the law of physics :)
Switching to a vertical mouse has relieved so much wrist pain I used to have. I have issues with my wrists from my younger days using the palm of my hand as a hammer. I used to only be able to use a computer for about an hour at a time or so, before some major wrist pain set in, now I can use a computer all day without feeling any pain caused by the odd position that a typical (horizontal) mouse causes. I have bought 4 cheap ones (Delux M618), and use them everywhere, home, work, shop (soon to be in my garage) and one that I take with me, if I need to use my laptop for extended periods. I haven't had any problems with them, though my first one, that I've been using for about 3 years now or so, is MAYBE showing some signs of wearing out. Vertical mouse is one of the best computer related purchases I've made.
I have an Anker wireless vertical mouse and it has been great in the months I've had it. I got it after I had surgery done on my wrist and after a few days of getting use to it my wrist/elbow feel much better. The sensor is mediocre so I still use my G402 for gaming, but it's good enough for most routine task. Very good value for $20.
Use the ANKER version. I love it. It's cheap. It's great for productivity. I use a mouse at work 4-8 hours a day. My hand was cramping on a normal mouse. I use a Logitech gaming pro mouse at home for gaming. Switching back and forth feels very natural for me.
I've been using the Anker for almost two years now. I've got two of them, one for work and the other for home and the annoying issue is that they tend to creak over time and the buttons have developed a weird crackly click sound which is super unsatisfying.
@@h6h6productions19 it's known to have poor switches and there's a guide online on how to replace them with Omron ones. I'll probably do that soon but I guess nothing can be done about the body creaking.
Used vertical mice before, tried most of what was available two-three years ago from the cheaper options. This is definitely a cheap move from logitech. Instead of adding all that you mention like the extra scroll, buttons, or even side customising options (to adjust for different hand shape/size), they just made the most basic version they can, and priced it way too high. Sorry, for that amount, there are Evoluent who have more experience in ergonomics. Hope Logitech gets it together for a v2 (love most of their products, just not this one).
Did you even try the Evoluent ones? The precision is just terrible. Worked with some evoluent mice for two a years and was so happy with this one from logitech. "Evoluent has more experience with ergonomics" Logitech knows how to built a propper mouse. I don't get the hate around this one. Here in the Netherlands the Evoluent mice are more expensive then this one btw..
@@b.pelgrum5580 No hate. I have mostly used and use a Logitech mouse. And that's exactly why I think they could have at least added some extra button/feature to this one. Did not know about Evoluent problems. Glad you brought that up, so now I can avoid spending money blindly. Oddly enough, currently using Logitech G305, and while it's not "ergonomic", the size and weight just makes it so easy to use.
@@JanisVeide Ah oke, didn't want to flame on your comment btw. But I've tried the Evoluent 3, 4 and C.. all of them didn't work for me. But I've heard some other people that are very happy with the evoluent ones. So I guess it comes down to personal preference. If you want one, try one first fro a couple of weeks (you can try mine if you want :p). I do agree on the lack of functionality, I guess I was so stoked on the overall performance and feel of the MX vertical I didn't miss those features. I'm dealing with RSI for over 5 years now and this one finally works for me. We'll see if the MX vertical 2 will add extra functionality.
I have the Delux vertical mouse with a rest for the side and back of your palm that moves with the mouse and eliminates your hand dragging on the desktop. I have large hands and would like it a lot more if it was 20% bigger. However that is its only flaw for me. It works very well and has stopped my hand from going to sleep and my shoulder from aching after hours of gaming as happens with a normal mouse. It is also about a quarter of the price of the Logitech.
You guys straight up have the BEST VIDEO INTRODUCTION FOR THE PRODUCTS IN STARTING OF THE VIDEO. And I love it. Gives such a cinematic profile to the video. Keep up the good work.
I've been using a unimouse for gaming lately, its vertical angle is adjustable and it comes wired and wireless with a Pixart PMW 3330 optical sensor, so it tracks just as good as my g900....only issue is the side button placement.
I broke my wrist 8 weeks ago. I have always used the Apple Magic Mouse but in this case, I had to change. I bought 3 mice (Vertical, Ergo Plus & Master 3) and have spent a few days testing all 3. I really liked all of them but the Ergo Plus added more stress to my hand and wrist after the surgery. I liked the Master 3 but the two flywheel's drove me crazy. But it moved great across surfaces. In the end I had to keep the Vertical because it honestly put the least amount of stress on my hand and wrist. I would say that if you have hand problems you have to spend time with all of them just to see what will work best.
They think only their wallet. They see their customers as idiots. Where're these specifications which were available in previous model MX master: Speed-adaptive scroll wheel (which really make it easy to scroll down on pages, Thumb wheel (which is vital for me, I use it for volume up-down in my current mx master), Gesture button and Darkfield high precision sensor (I use mx master on glass surface but tried mx vertical and didn't work). Fuck its perfection. It's nothing but a shit! They were supposed to add new specifications but they cut them and doubled the price. Is it so difficult to combine being ergonomic with these useful specifications which were already available? No of course. But they love playing with costumers like cat-mice play. It's nothing but insulting the costumers. I bougth it and returned it back for this reason.
Hm, what "laws of physics"? I'm sorry but I fail to see any problem with a "hyper" scroll wheel spinning at an angle... Just Logitech being cheap. Overall, it's really a disappointment. For the price the MX Vertical should have been built identically to the MX Master 2S and had similar features, mainly the hyper scroll.
Why couldn't they put the HERO sensor in this, from the G305 and G603? Since the laser sensor isn't Darkfield, it cannot track on glass, which puts it in the same boat as the G series mice.
I bought the MX Master 2S right before they announced the MX Vertical, so I'm not really willing to switch now. I'm really looking forward to a potential MX Vertical 2 (or S) that has a similar feature set to the Master 2S - the same sensor, hyperscrolling, vertical scroll and gestures, because that would be the bomb.
Feels like they should have the scroll wheel on the thumb, and be a primary wheel too. You could definitely have the infinite scrolling feature there too…
They may not have put more items for the thumb area for ergonomic reasons. I've found I've had issues with my thumb and the trackball mouse - so for me its good to give the thumb less functions to use
I have an ancient Logitech hyperscrolling enabled mouse that was on the cheap side back then, and I can give the wheel a spin in pretty much any mouse orientation, so that's definitely not an issue. Furthermore, I think every mouse manufacturer should contemplate making mice with this kind of a scrolling wheel mechanism. It's super convenient.
julian23561 I tried this exact mouse a while ago and if you're a sniper, it's actually a reasonably okay mouse. But yeah it is very clearly not a gaming mouse.
What are you talking about? The free-wheeling scroll wheel works great in any orientation and even if not, if they wanted they could easily make it work regardless. Did you ever let it spin on the MX Master and turn the mouse? I just did and it works without an issue. This is not a heavy machine :'D
Yeah, I need more buttons. Make a vertical ergonomic MMO gaming mouse and both gamers and professionals will buy it. I don't understand why companies split up possible clientele who have shared needs.
To anyone interested in vertical mice - do check out the Microsofct Sculpt Ergonomic. The whole set is great, but the mouse is *the* most ergonomic mouse I have ever used. Based on my experience with other vertical mice, I would guess it's also more comfortable than this Logitech. Would love to hear from anyone who has used both, though! Disclaimer: at one point I got to horrible wrist and elbow pain and started trying out vertical mouse, and the MS one was the first one that alleviated all of the pain over time. I have since started using a "normal" mouse again, for gaming regularly. I think the combination of two helps a lot, one for work, the other for gaming.
I used an MX Master 2, and it kicked the bucket after several years of hard use with a number of different computers. I’m a Mac user now, and when the time came to get a new one I considered the MX Vertical and the MX Master 3. I got so used to the gesture button for Mission Control on my Mac that I bought the Master 3 without a thought, because more than the horizontal scroll wheel I was convinced I needed the gesture button. I do wish I could get a more ergonomic shape (particularly for my ring and pinky fingers which sort of just hang off the side) with all the features I want, but the MX Master 3 is basically the only option unless I wanted to use the Magic Trackpad. If the Vertical had a gesture button, chances are pretty good I would have gotten that instead.
Do you after an year of use recommend this mouse considering your pinky still hang off of it? I feel it's an inconvenience specially for a longer time use and you kind of wished it was shorter so your pinky could rest too? I also wanna know if the thumb is in resting position while use or you have to lift thumb a little up too to operate it? Thanks
I've adopted a somewhat odd grip over time. My hand doesn't sit in a flat orientation, instead I have something between a palm and claw grip with my hand rotated outward slightly.
I’ve started developing wrist problems and this mouse definitely helps. Super light weight and you’ll get used to it in a few minutes. I do wish it had the hyper scroll though. I do think it is expensive for what you get. I paid the higher price over other brands because I trust Logitech.
I currently have Microsft's Sculpt Mouse. I'm debating whether to switch to this Logitech one. What do you think? Please advise. Similarities and differences. I have both Microsoft keyboard and Logitech one, so universal usb is no issue for both. Just wanting to see which mouse works better.
I'm using the original MX Master at work and at home. I was looking forward to the release of the MX Vertical release but was disappointed to see that the MX Vertical doesn't have the gesture thumb button. Using this to switch screens all day and would love to see this button on a future revision!
The base needs a "flare" of some sort, to support the pinky finger better! As it is, there's a tendency to drag that finger & the palm's edge on the work* surface. Not so comfortable. My experience with it is at a store's display. * yes, Gamers, some of us actually work with these tools :-) Good presentation, thanks! Subbed
I've had an MX Vertical for just under two years. The left button is failing, effectively making it impossible to click and drag. The buttons feel pretty cheep and so whilst it's really disappointing, it's not really a surprise it failed so early.
I bought one but ended up returning it because my hand kept sliding down, despite the grippy-ish surface, so I would constantly have to lift it back up- otherwise my finger would not reach the button. I also knocked it down a few times as I was not used to having such a tall mouse whenever I was reaching for it. I really wanted to like it but it just didn't work. Ended up buying Logitech MX Master 2S and it is so much more comfortable.
This mouse, no doubt is a lifesaver for those with actual RSI issues. I have a vertical mouse knocking around here somewhere... the Evoluent Vertical Mouse from ages ago.. I have big hands, but inspite of that, I still think the best mice Logitech have made is the 'anywhere' for, erm, anything, and the 'G9x' for gaming. Modestly sized as they are, they still feel a delight in use. Else, for me my primary and preferred is a big trackball.
Does someone know a good and cheaper alternative that truly works? The price for this mouse is way too much and I can’t afford ATM because of the exchange rate of the moment.
I just bought the MX Vertical at Staples. I like it so far but I have large hands and it fits nicely. Still trying to figure out those 2 buttons on the top left side though. Also I'm on Mac. Been using Apple's Magic mouse for a long time and that think sometimes has a mind of its own. Pages slide out and a host of other sloppy problems. Main thing is I can't connect via Bluetooth. I'm in touch with Logitech for help. Right now Using the USB which is great. Charging the magic mouse is on the bottom so no mouse while charging. this MX still works. How Cool is that? Im not a gamer but I do some CAD designs for my 3D printer; so far is seems to work well for me.
Update. Both my MX Mouse and MX Keys were returned as junk. My Opinion only! I just couldn't get them to work right with my iMac. good thing I bought the extended warranty. got all m money back. Right now I'm back to Apple's magic mouse and my wired keyboard.
Can you help me find one for glass mousepad? I am absolutely desperate to find one that’s perfect for what I do, I use 400 dpi a lot and I have been searching forever and haven’t found anything that is what I am looking for.
I know this review is a bit old, but is it possible to 'click' or 'press' the scroll wheel sideways? So, not just down like a regular button, but also to the sides. My current Logitech has it and I've mapped some functions to it I use a lot and I'd reaaally like this one to have it as well. Many thanks in advance :)
Solved my discomfort and pain between my middle and ring finger using a MS Arc mouse all day in WFH, but after 2 days of use with the Logi MX vertical, I've developed a blister on my wrist down from my pinky finger...moving around the table surface. Anyone else have this irritation?
Me too, but the shape seems inherently flawed. The bottom should be much narrower and the top wider so the hand just sits in it allowing for easy lifting and moving with just the finger tips. Scroll wheel could be placed for the thumb. Maybe alternatively a coolie hat switch? I think this could work, but i have yet to find one like that.
Been testing out a lot of mouse devices to see which one best fits for what I do on a daily basis. So far, the MX Master has been working great for me. Especially in video editing with that sweet side scroll. :)
if they do anouth one of these, the should add gestures (with pop up that comes up whenever you hold the button) and a horizontal scroll wheel instead of the buttons
So it's called an MX, it's in the same line as the Master 2, it costs the same, but doesn't have the single largest defining feature of the master being the darkfield sensor? It also has less functionality? They need to drop the price significantly.
It looks like it would definitely be more comfortable than a traditional mouse, however I have a very pronounced pisiform bone and it feels like turning my palm in a more natural position like this mouse does would actually put more weight/strain on that bone, and it's already constantly bruised from all the brushing against the mousepad.
Since I use my mouse claw style and with my fingers not flat with my palm touching it, I'm also not putting strain on my wrist with normal mice. I can half my wrist angled and still use my mouse normally. Trying to have my wrist flat just now made me realize I never have my wrist flat or in an uncomfortable position. $$$ saved.
2:17 I cringed so hard at that shot... I've always used traditional mice in the past, but I recently bought a 3m joystick ergo mouse at a Goodwill, and came to really enjoy it. However, it broke on me during an intense gaming session, so I had to revert back the the Logitech M525 I'd been using previously. Despite the fact that it had never given me issues before, I immediately felt the difference in ergonomics, and found it physically painful, and disgusting to use. I've since purchased an Evoluent model 3, and have been thoroughly impressed with it. However, the week or so I spent back with a traditional mouse was utter hell, as I couldn't use it for more than a few minutes at a time before the discomfort became too distracting to continue. At this point, I don't think I could ever switch back to anything non vertical again.
Companies such as Corsair need to do a vertical gaming mouse (I have Corsair only peripherals and many of my PC parts are from them too at least one item from each category of product they sell and this is good for use in iCUE where I can sync lighting profiles with all my stuff) and as a person who probably spends most of their home time (not including my 8-10 hours of daily sleep and yes I do have a regular day job but when I am home most of the time is spent sleeping or at my desk either watching videos/movies or playing games which I can do on my PC I don't really watch TV or use my phone much at home) it would make sense
I bought this mouse today and thought it was wonderful - but im still returning it. The one thing that I truly cannot let go of now in my work flow is Logitech's Hyperscrolling feature. I've been using an MX Master for the past few years, and the scrolling is a godsend. This mouse does not have that, so I guess it's time to buy an MX Master 3.
Does anybody who has the Mx2s have the same issue with feeling the battery moving around inside the mouse when moving really fast? Or is mine just broken?
I just got one yesterday. I charged up the battery. I linked it up with Bluetooth. I used it last night and this evening and it stopped working. I've only had it about 24 hours already. It lights up but I can't get it to move the cursor. It just quit while I was surfing the INTERNET. I turned it on and off a few times. A green light came on. There's nothing in the manual that even mentions the light. The PC still shows it's connected by Bluetooth, but it can't move the cursor. What kind of junk is this? I registered it at Logitech, posted my question about this and contacted support. If I don't have an answer and can get it to work again when I get home from work, back to Best Buy it goes. I may try a replacement, but if it gives me the same trouble I'll just take a refund.
Any chance you could do a review of the Evoluent vertical mice? The wireless ones especially. I've been using a cheap Anker for years now, and I'm wondering if it's worth buying a more expensive one. And, for anyone thinking about a vertical mouse, try one of the cheap ones. I spent $20 on my Anker, and it's helped a lot. I can't really imagine going back to a normal mouse.
Thanks for the review. Looks like Logitech missed the mark on this one. I have been using the Anker vertical mouse for nearly 5 years now (the same one), and I have almost no complaints. I do wish it had a more silent clicking sound with less actuation force and downward movement required. Other than than, I find the Anker vertical mouse hard to beat, especially for larger hands, with a neutral wrist position and a more closed hand position that does not fatigue my thumb.
I was considering a vertical mouse. If it was a vertical MX Master with the same features and quality, would be perfect. Without, will not consider it. iI use the MX Master as my daily desktop driver and the MX Anywhere 2 for mobile. Both are excellent for long stints. Having used a mouse since the days of the original Macintosh, I have found these to be the best suited to date for my needs. The MX Master (and MX Anywhere) is very well made, comfortable, and I use all of the extra buttons and gesture pad for more efficient, productive work. in fact, wish there were several additional buttons. They are weighted just right, an important feature not noted, heavier than most, which helps precision cursor placement and lowers fatigue over long periods of use. Originally I thought they were overpriced, but now that I have used them since they first came out, both are well worth the price. If UR a professional, well worth the addition, and for many, request it via UR companies procurement process as an adaptive device to minimize future medical complications. Have found the MX Master performs very well with most games.
Glad that they had an ergonomic one, i had 3 surgeries in my wrist is the microsoft one that came with their ergo keyboard. Until today I have save a lot of money back to doctor for new appointments and a lot of pain.
I had the anker vertical mouse 3-4 years ago, but i lost the reciever maybe a week after i got it, so never got to really use it. Edit: Just found the mouse in my drawer and it surprisingly comfortable. It's a little to big for my hands, and I still don't have the reciever :p Edit 2: The scroll wheel looks really wobbly on you master 2s. On my regular master it's almost 100% balanced.
I have tried many of the vertical mouses and the evoluent vertical mouse 4 is the best. Would be nice if you can compare other vertical mouses on top of this video
I've been using an Evoluent vertical mouse 3 I got on Ebay, and have been thoroughly enjoying it. :) Definitely an underrated brand in the mouse industry.
I tried a vertical mouse about a decade ago and honestly my brain couldn't handle it. I don't know why, bu the buttons being aligned top and bottom rather than left or right, made it so that my brain would lag out when trying to press left or right buttons. It makes no sense, but that was my experience.
I love all logitech mx mouses, most elegent mouses in the world! and the "free wheeling" in mx master is so cool to boost productivity for me, hope they can make it intergrated in all mx mouses!
If that featured customisable or even a basic array of buttons around the thumb, maybe. I have a gaming mouse and use so many profiles I don't think I could go back. Even just web browsing would be a slightly less streamlined experience without the functions of my existing mouse (Roccat Nyth).
You are wrong about the Hyperscrolling. Whey could have used the same mechanism as the one in the MX master 1/2S... To test this... Just tip the mouse and scroll. I cannot tell a difference in scrolling.
I think because it uses Darkfield sensor rather than PWM3366 or Hero sensor, so it is focused more on versatility (ie work on glass and uneven surfaces) rather than high DPI and he also mentioned there is acceleration which unwanted for gaming mice. I can see they make a gaming mouse out of this designed though, add more macro keys and sniper button on the thumb and put Hero sensor on it and maybe some RGB on it as well. Probably lose some battery life but not that much a problem. Same reason why you should pick a G903 instead of MX Master if you want to game.
@@andomi2760 You dont realize that excellent ergonomics would only benefit reaction times and overall accuracy once you got used to the grip style...? Like, that's literally how it works. All this mouse needs is low weight and a better sensor and then we have a niche mouse that will work wonders for people. The assumption that the shape keeps it from being effective is the exact opposite line of thinking you should approach this mouse shape with.
You said it feels cheaper and cited materials used to construct it, but didn't say what it was made up of. How much metal is on the outside of this $100 mouse? None? If so, what does the plastic feel like, really stiff? Or creaky like a normal priced mouse. Is it a rubberized texture? Etc... When I watch a review, I like to hear as many details about the product as I can get, so that if I have a weird niche problem with products in it's field, I can tell if it fixes that problem (even if you didn't specifically think of that problem I have when making the review, I can answer my question myself using the information you report).
There are no metal elements used on the outside. I think that has to with the weight reduction but the plastic material material is hard, certainly better and durable than the materials used in basic $20-30 mouse
great review (as always), I've never had any issues on wrist pain when mousing until I switched to a standing desk. Even though my arm angle is the same, without the elbow support of a chair, I've noticed some wrist discomfort in my mouse arm. just get a new one for Christ's sake spending 20 bucks every two years on a mouse wont kill anyone
@@saibgassanov3378 I use two, so $40 bucks on a mouse which starts giving trouble after 6 months isn't very ideal.
We'll see if the MX vertical 2 will add extra functionality.
out of the ones youve tried, which would you say is the best overall?
I have the Delux vertical mouse with a rest for the side and back of your palm that moves with the mouse and eliminates your hand dragging on the desktop. I have large hands and would like it a lot more if it was 20% bigger. However that is its only flaw for me. It works very well and has stopped my hand from going to sleep and my shoulder from aching after hours of gaming as happens with a normal mouse. It is also about a quarter of the price of the Logitech.
Enjoyed the quality of the review.
Enjoyed how soothing his voice is.
Enjoyed the lack of background music.
I've been using a vertical mouse for abut a year now, and I will never go back. I use a 25 dollar Anker mouse and it works just fine.
You guys straight up have the BEST VIDEO INTRODUCTION FOR THE PRODUCTS IN STARTING OF THE VIDEO. And I love it. Gives such a cinematic profile to the video. Keep up the good work.
LOGITECH PLEASE GIVE US A GAMING VERTICAL MOUSE!!!!!!!!!

@@Aikano9 yes
Id buy a vertical g600
I want to get this so badly for gaming but the price tag and low response time really kills it for me.
I used the MX Vertical for a couple weeks and my thumb has started hurting pretty bad. gripping/pinching to hold on to the mouse.
Why couldn't they put the HERO sensor in this, from the G305 and G603? Since the laser sensor isn't Darkfield, it cannot track on glass, which puts it in the same boat as the G series mice.
Because Logitech G (gaming division) and LOGI (consumer division) dont talk to each other...
-D.
@@HardwareCanucks Haha. It's still a better love story than Twilight ;)
Five years later and I'm still waiting for that MX Vertical 2.
They should put more macro keys on it, considering how many more surface than other normal mouse. If so, it would a excellent replacement of g602.
This'd be a godsend for CTS affected users but would be horrible for gaming.
julian23561 I tried this exact mouse a while ago and if you're a sniper, it's actually a reasonably okay mouse.
* yes, Gamers, some of us actually work with these tools :-)
Good presentation, thanks! Subbed
I love this mouse and have been using it for 5 years now with no problem in the mouse or my wrist!
Best designed ERGO mouse ever from logitech!
This is the best mouse I've ever owned.
It really helped me with my wrist. 1000% no regret
do u have carpal tunnel?
Are you guys having stiff/shoulder pain after using mouse clicking all day everyday? I really want to try this mouse but I'll wait the price goes down
I've had an MX Vertical for just under two years.
How does it compare to the MX Master for gaming? The mx master seems to track pretty well and not too much perceivable latency for me.
Does someone know a good and cheaper alternative that truly works? The price for this mouse is way too much and I can’t afford ATM because of the exchange rate of the moment.
FPS mouses should be like this, so it feels more like grabbing a gun.
There's actually a mouse shaped like one....its kind of old though
Professional players might be decent with this mouse but there's more control with gaming mice
Is this better for 3d designer and vfx artist. Who uses for 3d softwares, adobe etc
How do you feel for 3d. I m looking to get for 3d works. Please advice. I mainly use c4d and adobe.
Update. Both my MX Mouse and MX Keys were returned as junk. My Opinion only! I just couldn't get them to work right with my iMac. good thing I bought the extended warranty. got all m money back. Right now I'm back to Apple's magic mouse and my wired keyboard.
I just got my Logitech MX Vertical and I want to make sure it can plugin into my Macbook Pro that only has USB-C ports. It wasn't clear in the video.
I've always wanted a gaming vertical mouse with a 3360 based sensor, they look like something I would like
Me too, but the shape seems inherently flawed. The bottom should be much narrower and the top wider so the hand just sits in it allowing for easy lifting and moving with just the finger tips. Scroll wheel could be placed for the thumb. Maybe alternatively a coolie hat switch? I think this could work, but i have yet to find one like that.
@@fetB Agreed, it's probably really heavy too, with all that extra body. Still, I'd love to try something experimental like that
After so many years, we are still trying to design the perfect 🐭.
Been testing out a lot of mouse devices to see which one best fits for what I do on a daily basis. So far, the MX Master has been working great for me. Especially in video editing with that sweet side scroll. :)
Have commenters told you your B-roll is the most beautiful and pleasing on youtube?
You can configure the side buttons with copy paste ... ??
If only MX Vertical has horizontal scroll it would be perfect in my opinion. Horizontal scroll very helpful for scrolling spreadsheet document.
Does it work for mac? buttons are customizable in mac too?
Vertical mouse is "The Only Way To Go" for those who have wrist pain/fatigue.
I've tried(MS Sculpt Ergonomic Mouse) - and it works immediately.
I don't see why they wouldn't market this toward gamers. This should be the gold standard in mouse design. It's a much more natural hand motion!
I'll take your word on it but I'd definitely like to try it. Maybe I'll try one of the really cheap ones first to just experience the feel.
big fan of your work, Eber!!
Can u pls tell What are cheaper working alternatives to this...
if they do anouth one of these, the should add gestures (with pop up that comes up whenever you hold the button) and a horizontal scroll wheel instead of the buttons
really don't like the adv commercials, it's just like tv but this isn't tv.
Like that but with 6 thumb buttons and free scroll+horizontal wheel clicks and I'm sold.
Does anyone know what background music they are using? I'm digging it.
is it bad that I want it for playing moira in overwatch
Does it have quite clicks?
I have an MX Master and I love the fast scrolling wheel and the thumb buttons. You've convinced me not to switch.
Is pointer speed really the same as DPI level?
Cool, Logitech is now renewing that lineup! Also, intro music is awesome. What's the track?
Glad that they had an ergonomic one, i had 3 surgeries in my wrist is the microsoft one that came with their ergo keyboard. Until today I have save a lot of money back to doctor for new appointments and a lot of pain.
Getting a vertical mouse soon, though being left handed, I use my right for mouse and my left when using my pc tablet.
I had the anker vertical mouse 3-4 years ago, but i lost the reciever maybe a week after i got it, so never got to really use it.
Edit: Just found the mouse in my drawer and it surprisingly comfortable. It's a little to big for my hands, and I still don't have the reciever :p
Edit 2: The scroll wheel looks really wobbly on you master 2s. On my regular master it's almost 100% balanced.
I have tried many of the vertical mouses and the evoluent vertical mouse 4 is the best. Would be nice if you can compare other vertical mouses on top of this video
You have!?
Love my Evoluent VM4R.
unforgiven i'm using the wireless version
I've been using an Evoluent vertical mouse 3 I got on Ebay, and have been thoroughly enjoying it. :) Definitely an underrated brand in the mouse industry.
Has the sensor a red light in this mouse?
Do a video where you both show off your systems
I tried a vertical mouse about a decade ago and honestly my brain couldn't handle it. I don't know why, bu the buttons being aligned top and bottom rather than left or right, made it so that my brain would lag out when trying to press left or right buttons. It makes no sense, but that was my experience.
I love all logitech mx mouses, most elegent mouses in the world! and the "free wheeling" in mx master is so cool to boost productivity for me, hope they can make it intergrated in all mx mouses!
Don’t know about this thing, but their trackballs of similar design are amazing
If that featured customisable or even a basic array of buttons around the thumb, maybe. I have a gaming mouse and use so many profiles I don't think I could go back. Even just web browsing would be a slightly less streamlined experience without the functions of my existing mouse (Roccat Nyth).
is there a left hand version ?
2:47
that is what I am looking for :) thank you
You are wrong about the Hyperscrolling. Whey could have used the same mechanism as the one in the MX master 1/2S... To test this... Just tip the mouse and scroll. I cannot tell a difference in scrolling.
Prolly shouldnt use it to play quake right?
If vertical design is "the perfect shape" why didn't they make a gming version of it?
Cause it's not gud for gaming
It‘s good for your wrist and health but not designed for quick movements.
because you'll easily throw it away if you're mad with your game. and not everything made for gaming.
Are the buttons programmable?
I was thinking about picking up the Logitech MX Vertical, now I'm looking at other alternatives (cheaper)
