That explanation at the end was more helpful than my years of being coached as a kid. Just takes the right kind of teacher to get the points across.
Thank you Patrick sir, I really was struggling with my backhand. This video really helped me improving my backhand. Thank you once again
38 year old here. Finally after many years wanting to start, I managed to get a coach and started to train back in September. I’ve learnt a lot in this couple of months. Patrick videos are a cornerstone for me and I’m also happy my coach teachings match what Patrick is teaching. Helps me implementing it better in my trainings.
With one video he learns me how to effort my backhand... Great Patrick
Patrick!! Congratulations for your videos. It is a gift to have the opportunity to learn from you!! Thank you very much for that
Super. Patrick explains the most important twohanded backhand mechanics in this short video! I really need to start using my hands instead of just using my arms.
Patrick, I love you man. I had been struggling with backhand for 2 months because of moving my body along with the swing. Now its just wonderful.
Great lesson Pat. Thanks.
Been watching all your videos on social media, AMAZING teacher.
Great tip with using the hands more! Instant gamechanger
I needed this!!! Thanks Patrick!
VERY HELPFUL. I am going to try your tips today!
Thanks you very. I am 43 started playing tennis now and I am following you regularly. 5* for your tips
Fine job coach. You teach amazingly well, enabling your student to fluently transition to a more effective and optimal way of hitting~Bravo!👍🤗
Great stuff, thank you!
Boa! Demonstração evidencia e didatiza q a execução é mais fácil de ser aperfeiçoada 👏👏👏
Now that's what you call a good tennis coach 👏 ❤
Great tips, Thank you!
Thank you, Patrick!
Benefited a lot!!! THX!
I wish you continued success in the field of tennis and youtube thank you
Best backhand tips ever

Thank you for advise
Great Video. Tysm! Would love to See one with hitting heigher balls. We all know that these r the tricky ones... ;-)
Thank you very helpful sir
Thanks!
Thank you
thanks a lot
Good lesson
Wow... Just wow...
Thanks Patrick! On behalf of many players who worked with the guys who can play, but are not able to coach...
cool
Ohllaala you are the best
Graciad
The key is the follow thru acroos the body.....like Bartoli
Amazing Video, Thank you! 🤲
Do you lean with the body downwards during the shot ?
Do you think this is toooooo hard for beginner ? Thanks
He says use hands more. Rick Macci says use legs and shoulders
my problem with this is if i try to hit the backhand like this i will end up flicking down
65 year old and mad at myself for not playing this game years ago. Anyways, when I have tried the two hand backhand I am finding my forearm on the top hand (I am right handed) is getting very sore and strained. What am I doing wrong that is causing this? Anybody?
Super, after vídeo, I will change one-hand for two-hands backhand.
I’m 58 years old. Is it possible? 😅
Good jooooob
All I saw was cross courts. How effective is this down the line???
👍
Nice Video, thank you!
But Djokovic's arms are complete extended 🤔
Yeah good video but I totally agree with you
yeah also rick macci teaches right arm straight, left arm bent..mhh
Bend the elbows and use the left hand more. I will just try this at the wall.
Pam
It seems to me that most pros hit a two handed backhand about the same and yet I can never understand why they look so different? I mean Jimmy Connors backhand doesn't look anything like Borgs and Borgs backhand doesn't look anything like Rafa's or Wilander's. Why?
“That’ll be $10,000. Thank you”
Did Cam Norrie watch this video clip?😄😄😄
I thought the arms are supposed ro be straight when swinging
mhhh...alcaraz, djokovic, rune... all have their right arm straight, and not bent, before they accelerate... ?!?!? why are you now saying, the right arm should be bent like it is for throwing a frisbee? @patrick
.. o.k - so now go and watch Leyton Hewitt playing two-handed backhands.
it depends, Djoker racket face is like a normal U where Nalbandian's and almost everyone else's is like an upside down U. Mine was so much better withe normal U shape before trying to switch because I thought it was the wrong mechanic. I used to take the ball super early too. It could be Djoker is the exception than the rule.
One thing I can say for sure - this kid has rich parents.
Is that bad? I’d prefer that over none or poor parents.
totally wrong this time
what is he wrong about actually?
Versteht der Typ was vom Tennis???
Stay away from 2hbh.
I’m only here for Pat’s 🍑 because… 🤷
This might be hard for non-elite players to execute consistently.
Rubbish
It so sad the amount of players who think that anything that Patrick said has anything to do with hitting a Topspin backhand. If you study Serena Williams backhand it looks nothing like what Patrick just taught that young man. Please Search TH-cam for greatbase tennis. Jeff Lewis or 2 minute tennis for a science based approach to stroke production.
Yes
honestly I feel like this video is based to the average audience not a pro, to teach a young kid a pro level backhand is impossible you need to build it up you can do an effective kick serve if your comfortable with the grip and with no training, so you basically need to build it up like most of kids started with the semi western grip serve, then the continental, slice then kick. Besides Serena has her own style.
@@Mango_995.so you Think the pros are on TH-cam watching backhand videos?? Off course its for the average Joe
I’m going to go ahead and listen to the coach that has multiple championships instead of Jim Klein’s recommendation…
@@ChrisCamden22exactly. What a clown @ Jim Klein.
Kid is stiff as a board in his preparation.
I dont think he explains it well. Yet he still takes the money. It just shows that people are sheep .
His speaking while feedbacking is so fast, I wonder anyone can follow. Some breathing between sentences might come beneficial 😅
He doesn’t know how to hit a two hander so he has no idea how tO coach it. Rolling over the ball w ur left hand on a two hander wiLL send the ball into the net guaranteed.
I stopped watching this guy's videos. He picks the best students and acts like he's teaching them something. It's just a gimmick. These kids have been playing since birth.
True ! He is a scammer
He’s literally the coach of players like Holger rune and Serena Williams
You know nothing about coaching
People seek him out not the other way around
This has to be one of the dumbest takes of all time in history of youtube. You don't deserve this elite coaching!
Dumb take
C'est un menteur, il copie sur les autres entraîneurs en particulier les parents qui sont entraîneurs.
C'est un manipulateur, il ne connaît rien.
Si vous voulez des informations contactez Mr Rezai
Like we say, bmt plays with the hands, whip your backhand. Finally a video I can agree with
Coach, I think NOVAk would argue with you regarding the right hand being bent lol...
Il colpo più orribile del tennis…😂😂
Thanks. Great video!!!!!
