    I own the Marvel Pearl, Hyroad Pearl, Crux Prime, Halo Pearl, and the Idol. I don’t care what lane I’m on, what condition I’m on, or what is happening transition wise. The Idol is literally the best ball I personally have ever thrown. I pull that ball out and it’s money all day. Move in and play straighter, slings messengers like nobodies business. Move left and play deeper, solid pocket driven strikes. Even when I miss out this ball’s cover helps make up the difference. I will soon buy the Pearl just to see what I’m missing with that.

    Watched a right handed cranker on a broken THS. Pushed it through the track and went flat 10, soft 7, ghost 8-10, 8 standing. Moved inside track area, took it off the sheet. Looked good on missed strokes. Going to give it a go on Fresh opened field tonight.

      Definitely needs some oil but you'll be rewarded on the fresh or heavier conditions.

    Hey Tamer. I currently own the Haywire drilled pin up under the ring finger hole and am getting the Idol drilled very similarly. How many more boards overall do you think the Idol will hook over the Haywire with a slightly more aggressive layout? Thanks for the input and I, too, enjoy your videos! 👍

    • @TamerBowling
      @TamerBowling  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      That's really hard to say. Every bowler gets some different variation as well as pattern dictates board coverage. If both balls were brand new on a medium pattern, Idol may be a couple of boards stronger. It reads even earlier than the Haywire. Good Luck!

    Hey tamer, you have amazing videos. What kind of cameras and lenses are you using to get such great footage?

  • @RRBuilder611
    @RRBuilder611 6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    I think the reason why that Sean saw more hook set was a result of lower axis rotation

    • @machinethesun9243
      @machinethesun9243 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Agree. I've had this ball since it came out, it hooked more at first. I have a higher axis rotation and just a small hook with this ball. I have to be more precise with it now than when it was new.

    Can the idol also be played from the outside on Broadway Pattern (37f)?

    Just punched this and hooooooly sh!t. Smooth off the hand, down the lane and then a violent backend. Only shot 607 with it still trying to figure it out. Right now the Arsenal is SonIQ, VenomShock and the Idol

    Hey tamer I had the phaze 2 and I absolutely loved that ball, sadly the cover absorbs too much oil and it seems to die pretty quickly if you didn’t get it baked often enough. Do you think this ball would be a good replacement or similar type of ball that is controllable with a lot of continuous motion through the pins? Great job on the vid I always watch your reviews before ever buying a ball

    • @TamerBowling
      @TamerBowling  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Robrock125 big picture I believe the idol is a great option as a replacement. However I will say I always found the phaze ii to have a unique motion with that set but still heavy roll. The idol is smoother in its transition but still has a heavy roll. That’s the nuance but I think the idol will be a great ball.

    Hey Tamer great vid! What was the highest overall rate ball you guys have ever tested? That would help out alot THANKS!!!

    • @TamerBowling
      @TamerBowling  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's really tricky to be honest because different style bowlers feel differently about different balls. Overall rating, I would say the Black Widow Gold is one of the highest ratings we have. HyRoad has lasted so long, it also has a very high rating. It doesn't mean that they will work on everything but in their element, they are amazing. And their element is pretty versatile.

    Heavy hook roll is right. Guys ball looks to be performing on par. The second bowlers ball almost looks like it rolls out.

    Hey Tamer - on Eiffel Tower, what ball(s) would Bryan typically be balled up to over the Idol?

    • @bryanhoffman5985
      @bryanhoffman5985 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That would be a Sure Lock which arcs for me and if I want a stronger down lane move at Lock some surface, 2000 abralon.

    Thanks for another super helpful video. A quick question: Code Red looks great 3 or 4 games in for my wife who has low revs and low speed but slightly speed dominant but it skids way too long on fresh leaving buckets, weak 10s and pocket 7s. What would be a good complement? Idol, Code X, Hyper Cell Fused, Sure Lock or Show Off? Her comfort area is standing in the middle and playing the second arrow. Thanks!!!

    • @TamerBowling
      @TamerBowling  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are many good options but since she likes the Code Red, I like the idea of staying in the same family of what works so go Code X. Will read a bit earlier with more pop on the fresh.

    • @jinsubkim330
      @jinsubkim330 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      TamerBowling Thanks for the feedback! Will definitely recommend Code X. I think she'll like it. But just curious, would the Idol work for her as well or too smooth?

    • @TamerBowling
      @TamerBowling  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sometimes I find that balls that are too smooth sacrifice carry for lower rev bowlers. It's a great ball but it's going to be early and rolly. For a heavier or longer pattern, that might work for lower rev because it can store some energy for a little better carry.

    • @GraduatedIn

      Eh, I don’t like the idol due to color. But either way I would prefer hyper cell fused or intense, or urethane. Also some guy let me use his black widow, first time using urethane, and boy that thing is strong, I have lots of revs but low speed.

    Honestly, this ball doesn't remind me of the Haywire at all. I don't remember the haywire ever really arcing into the pocket.

    How does it compare to the jackal ghost?

    • @TamerBowling
      @TamerBowling  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would look at this ball as a baby ghost, or more appropriately a baby Rising. Rising is just a little more midlane and overall control. If you like this shape ball reaction, they would be a very good 1-2.
