I made a mistake, the daily planner is not Jewel Tone Jungle, it is Tropical Boho! Does anyone else get those themes confused? Haha! All the links are in the description box! So excited for the new year!!!

I just wanted to say thank you for sticking with Happy Planner. So many influencers and former Squad members drop Happy Planner when their term is up. Then I have to search for new influencers to inspire me. I'm a die hard Happy Planner person. I've been following you for years and you're my number one go-to TH-camr. I love your designs and I appreciate your desire to stick with Happy Planner. So thank you.

Same. I love the Happy Planner and I honestly don't think I could ever go back to a non-disc system. And while there are other discbound planner systems I just think Happy Planner's designs and layouts are the best

You were my first planning inspirer and I’ve followed you since you began. Your creativity, frankness, and strength are beyond admirable. Today is a tough one for me and I am so grateful this is the first YT video that popped up. Honestly, it feels like a cozy, comforting homecoming. You are a blessing in this world. May the year to come bring you infinite blessings and peace. Thank you for being you.

I am using 4 planners, but dividing the pages so there are three months’ pages of all 4 planners in each one. It is a one time set up of 4 frankenplanners and that means every 3 months I get “new” covers and dividers to keep me from getting bored. I have all the plans in one book at a time and don’t have to swap pages every month.

Thank you for this video Mary Ellen. I am chronically depressed, but September through December (holiday season) are especially hard months for me every year, and every year my planners get ignored during my dark time,. But this year as I was watching planning videos and doing some (a lot!) back planning as well as prepping the December weeks to come I realized the same thing you did: that planning makes me feel better. I wrote that in my 2023 planner to remind myself not to let it go when I'm feeling bad. As part of my planner line up for 2023 I am going to use the Stress Management layout and will incorporate my what I like to call Things I Accomplished Today. I don't assign a number of things because setting expectations is a set up for failure. Even if I just list getting out of bed as the Thing I Accomplished Today, that will be a win.

Mine: Cozy Critters 😍😍😍 & recovery guided journal
Loved seeing this! This will be my third year using a Happy Planner, but I’m still just mainly doing one. I would call it my catch-all planner, but honestly, it’s more like decorative journal for me, as I mostly back plan with it. As a housewife and homeschooling mom, it’s not like I have a ton of things to plan ahead for, ha.
I’ve only used floral planners before (and truly LOVED this year’s planner with the copper disks), but I just want to thank you for basically giving me the freedom to branch out from that without feeling weird or too immature for me! I chose the Cozy Critters planner (and had to grab the sticker book and notebook too 🥰). I think before watching your unboxing video and hearing you say you might possibly go with one of them because of how cute they were, I would probably have said I needed something more “sophisticated and mature.” Which I don’t… Because I stay home all day with kids. 😆 And if I need a sophisticated cover for whatever reason, I can pop one of the florals on there. 🙃 Seeing your Cozy Critters PWM is what finalized my decision, and my planner arrived TODAY!!!! 😍🥰
I’m waiting on a good sale from HP to grab a planner for my purse (… and praying it’s still in stock when the sale happens! 🙏🏻). I’m going to start doing a recovery guided journal along with some people I love. Mine will be health-related. I’m also waiting to decide on what to use as my faith planner - and then a good sale actually to get it. 😊

I have my work planner that stays at work... I have my Big Happy Planner that I take with me. I also have a classic size WIP journal with cover stock pages that show each of my cross-stitch works in progress - it has the fabric, designer, stitch count, start date, etc., then each cover page has lined paper that I write the date I stitched with how many stitches. They used to be in my happy planner I carried with me everyday, but it became too much with 40 WIPS, so that one stays home. 2023 is the first big planner & I'm loving it... I started using it 2 weeks ago, I've just added lined paper and am making my own daily pages until I get to the 26th where they start.
My word for 2023 came to me yesterday... Value...
Value the time with my daughters & grandchildren... Value my time creatively... Value the moment... Value my finances
Merry Christmas... you are my favorite planner!!!

I am so grateful for your videos! You got me to understand how fun and handy the Happy Planner Disc system is! I am in love with it. This year (2022) I started with 1 Big and then eventually once I learned more about it grew to include 2 more classic planners. Next year, I am switching to fully classic size and using 7 different planners with several fill in pages that I have created to help me monitor my ever changing health and schedule! Thank you for all your videos and keeping it real!

Your content is ALWAYS so helpful to me!! I, too, ditched my wellness planner in 2022. I couldn't figure out how to use it for me. I'm using a Big Dashboard for my catch all planner in 2023. I also use a Big Teacher (restickered for 7 days rather than 5) for meal planning and all things food. I have the new Big Happy Sewing planner for all things sewing/crafting and I don't think I've ever been more excited about a calendar in my life! LOL!! I've frankenplanned extension packs and Big monthly pages to create a Big budget and bill paying planner. I use a Classic with Christmas extension packs and pages for holiday planning. And I use "spare parts" from Bigs to create notebooks for travel planning and recipe collecting. I, too, don't have as full a calendar I had when my kids were home, but disc planners are ideal for organizing my life and my time. :)

So much (always) to think about in planner set up, but I think I've got it - Dashboard for catch all (teeny tiny florals), Frankenplanner: Squairdplans quadrant for quotes/lettering, dark botanicals for journal (vertical), self care journal and natural wellness for wellness/fitness/self care, DIY gifts and special occasions. I'll add in gardening for my houseplant/gardening care in my frankenplanner. Each quarter or season I use themed scrapbook paper as my 'left' side divider decor.

I’ve decided to use 4 planners and I really hope I can keep up with them. I have to be honest I haven’t written in my planners since October. I’ve been going through a lot and my depression and anxiety have been really bad and my ADD doesn’t help at all. I’m also dealing with chronic pain after breaking my left hip and femur last year and the doctors r trying to figure out different ways to help with the pain. I had to quit my full time job at an elementary school in October bc of the pain in my leg. I’m now working part-time but of course that doesn’t pay a lot and I’m struggling there too. But I’ve decided to get my life back on track and starting in January everything is going to change with me and I’m really going to start working on myself to get better. I love how u r so real in ur videos and u inspire me all the time. Mary Ellen I’m so glad I found u last year bc when I’ve had some dark times or thoughts just watching ur videos really bring me out of those times. Thanks for all u do u r a true inspiration and r so amazing!!! 😊

I am using 2 planners this year. I started using the big teacher planner for my catch-all back in August, and I LOVE it! It is just the right amount of decorating for me, and the big is so roomy. I also started tracking expenses and budgeting back in June, so I will continue doing that. I had bought a classic dashboard over the summer, mainly for the dividers, so I plan to just use that. I eoukd like to get back into faith planning at some point, too, but we will see. You really sound like you are in a great space for healing. You're being so kind to yourself. Keeping that attitude will help you so much. I can totally relate to the "new year" syndrome, except mine happens on the fall. Stick with what you know you love and add new in slowly is my motto.

I have one planner with different sections. For my wellness planner I use only the monthly pages to write down my stats for each day. I have a couple of extra pages in that section with my running PRs and my HRV tracker for the year. My journaling section I only use one page (an old page) and I cover up the boxes with photo memories and then have a few pages of journalling for the month. Sometimes I journal more and so I have extra pages and sometimes it’s less. I have some guided pages and some filler paper I will add more when necessary. Then my catch-all I have 4 months at a time because all of this gets pretty thick. It has been a lot of trial and error but it has been very working for me lately.

I love the dashboard layout for my social media planner and I'm trying to really figure out the best way to use it to schedule blog posts. I do like your idea to also use the monthly pages to note the products you used, and I may give that a try as well. My last planner is going to be a personal sized Filofax for work. I don't need much space for that, just enough to note my clock in and out times and a short list of what I did that day.

I'm using two planners this year - one for daily tasks and to-dos, and one for journaling. For my daily planner I'm using the Mickey and Minnie classic vertical because I love Disney and it's just so cute, and then I'm gonna add a section in the back for jotting down notes so that way everything is in one place and I don't lose anything.
And then my journal is the Cyanotype classic vertical. I've never been very good at journaling and one of my goals for the new year is to journal a little each day because on the days I remember to do it it's always been helpful for me. I really love the design of the cyanotype planner and that art style as a whole, so I'm hoping that'll help me feel motivated to use it!

I thought a lot about the number of planners that I would need or use. For now I set up with a catch all, a creative one - to write all the things I want to make for my Etsy shop, a journal one, but I regret not getting a big size, it seems that I need to write a lot and I run out of space. A memory keeping one for my kids - to write down the new things they make, the new words they use and to put some pictures along the way. 🤣 A budget one to help me out with the stress around the finances. And I got a recipe organizer.. I can't count the times I tried something new, that we all loved, made it few times and then forgot about it all together 🙈😆
I too love the Frankenplanning, but I have tried it and it's overwhelming for me to do it every month 🙈

I also feel like I can do it all at this time of year and I think it's because I'm so overwhelmed from the holiday season that I just crave structure and routine! I heard your sigh when you talked about being able to fit them all in... What if you do a work, a big frilly family/life and then combine personal journaling and wellness tracking/habits? It sounds like kind of two different vibes but you could hold them in the same book even if you don't necessarily do them both at the same time.

I have the Paula and Waffle Classic....I was missing having a Meal Planner in the line-up and I thought, "which design that I haven't chosen is the cheeriest, nicest, really conducive to home and kitchen" Great choices! My only question is in the Paula and Waffle Big, in keeping the dividers, but importing the neutral pages of Le Fleur, wouldn't you have the polka dots on the left of the monthlies still? (Or...Tombow glue the Paula and Waffle to the first Le. Fleur page--problem solved). Ok, mind blown. During Clearance time, I pick up a few more planners, and I'll keep in mind the switheroo trick to get the dividers you want in the layout you want.

I love your videos so much. I'm always excited when I get a new video notification. I feel with you. And I tried to figure out how you could be consistently using your selfcare planner. And I don't want to tell you what to do, but I just like to share my ideas on your struggling... What came to my mind is that it should be easy to use and don't take to much time but be a overview as well. So I think a good idea for your symptom and other tracking is to do like in a habit tracker so you just need to mark those things instead of writing down every single word. So with these lists it would be a little skinnier than your other planners so I thought you could add a monthly landing page maybe using some pages from the goals planner from the be happy box. By the way I had to order that one after I saw your video. And maybe you put it on little disks so the other the middle disks wouldn't be so outstanding. Please don't get me wrong. I would just like to share my thoughts and maybe try to help out a little little bit. I apologize if my English is not the best. I'm not a native speaker. Have a nice day.

I have my main personal planner which includes three: a neutral vertical just for the fun of deco and lettering, a budget planner with the new budget guided journal, and a horizontal for journaling. Then I’m using EC products for work, and an EC horizontal for wellness. It’s a lot but I am incorporating a goals system this year so it’s how I decided to set things up and keep it all straight. Or at least that’s what I told myself. 😹💜

Thank you! I love watching (and listening) to your videos!! Loved hearing about your line up and the 'question marks' that come with it. You have a wonderful aesthetic in your journalling. It is a great source of inspiration!
In 2023, I will be using 4 planners: one for home, one for work, a journal, and a "brain dump/list book." I am a Leuchtturm person. Like you, I learned through trial and error. I found out that discs and rings don't work for me. When I watch your videos I really wished that HP was my thing, but sadly it is not. I hope you have a happy holiday! Looking forward to your next video!

I am so sorry to hear about your son. I am a new viewer. But I totally get where you are coming from. Things change after we lose a child and some things just stop working and we don't know why. I think because we change. We are not the same person we were before the loss of our child. HUGS to you!

I feel like we are sisters from another mother. I go in big, all excited and then realize it doesn't work for me. I've done the Frankenplanner numerous times and end up misplacing som months🤪. Not sure what I'm doing for next year. To be honest, I am taking a break from planners except for my on the go-to keep up with appointments. I only watch about 3 planners TH-cam channels at this time. Thanks for sharing your struggles and successes. It helps.❤️🎄

I tried to use the 2022 HP big vertical but found it too difficult to write a daily list. I love the size. Your idea for decorating is gorgeous! I’m still figuring this all out in my mind.
I used the HP 2022 meal plan some weeks. I didn’t like having only three lists for groceries per month. I plan weekly so I shop weekly. Now there isn’t a 2023 meal planner available. I’m trying to figure out how to combine meal plan with health and fitness. Not sure yet what I’m going to do. Currently I use a spiral notebook with just paper.

2023 I'll be using 5 planners. 1- menu planner 2- daily to do planner 3- Memory planner (What I did that week) 4 Personal Tell-All planner, good and bad thoughts, that no one but I will see. 5 - Spiritual Planner for prayers, gratitude, praise and scripture that has spoken to me. The biggest designing with stickers and drawings will be in my Memory planner. The rest will be little to no decorating.

I'm planning to use 7 planners this year in a transformer/frakenplanner style, that's what I used last year and it worked out great but just going to switch up some of the layouts to work better for me during this new chapter in my life (big move and new job upcoming!) thank you for sharing and can't wait to see your setup videos 😍

Thank you for sharing. I love to watch. I would like to know, how the blank undated monthly pages are named (the one that look to be sold separatly, in your video they are in a plastic enveloppe and that can be add in the classic HP), I would like to get them but I don't see them on Happy Planner website. I am new to planning... I chose one for functional things for Clever Fox and I have 2 from Happy Planner, one as a journal and I don't know what I will do with the other one but it is beautiful and as it was a kit (La Fleur), I bought all that match with it (both HP planner are classic size). Thank you :)

Mary Ellen, let me just first say, I love you! I’ve commented on a few of your vids but have been following you about 3 to 4 years. Don’t feel like your the only one still trying to figure out your lineup because me and my big sister go back and forth every other day with trying to use our stuff but wanting new stuff! 😂 Nonetheless, I’m so proud of you and your grace through EVERYTHING! I can only imagine….we won’t stay there. You inspire me, your rambles make me chuckle and I have a Bumble…except her name is Macie Grey. This little dog I tell you! I could go on and on but it’s the season and I just wanted to let you know not only have you “influenced” me..😂😂😂 But I love all of your quirkiness. Your so creative and hopefully we’ll link one day! I started my channel about 3years ago and goy discouraged. This is my real name I’m commenting under but if you see @thedyfunctionalfunctional, just know that’s me Candice💕 Happy holidays M.E.
