I absolutely love iOS 17. It’s everything I wanted Apple to do and they did. I use the Music App daily and was amazed by the changes.
You know what I really wish they'd add? A "+" icon on the Apple Music lockscreen player, allowing you to save a song into your library directly from your lockscreen. It would be so cool and convenient, no need to unlock your phone, tap the song, press the three dots and then select "Save": you just press the "+" showing up on your lockscreen.
This is what the action button could do haha

Now with iOS 17, I have no reason to switch back to Spotify. 🎧
I haven’t used any other music streaming service or platform other than Apple Music since 2015 and I’ll never go back to anything else

The one feature I really want to see would be the return of the ‘Play Later’ option - where it queues the song after the song you have selected ‘Play Next’ to.
I don’t think I’ve ever used the ‘Play Last’ button because there’s no reason for me to put a song at the very bottom of my queue. Blows my mind that they removed the ‘Play Later’ feature in the first place
I think Play Last & Play Later are the same, bro. If you select Play First, that means that the songs next to it will automatically be part of the Play Later/Last queue.
@@MarkLouieCantre I thought this was the case at first too, but unfortunately not. I just tried it and say for example you were listening to an Ed Sheeran playlist where the order was:
- Shape of you
- 2Step
- Beautiful People
- Lego House
- Perfect
- Photograph
If you started playing Shape of You and decided halfway through you wanted to listen to 'Sunflower' by Post Malone, you would obviously press 'Play Next' for it to play before 2Step. The 'Play Later' button used to place it after the next song, so in this case, after 2Step. But the 'Play Last' feature puts it right to the bottom after Photograph, which is really really frustrating for me as I never have a reason to press that button. It just feels unintuitive and I miss the old option :(
this is the single most infuriating thing about apple music
Since Apple already allows us to edit the song metadata on iTunes on Windows or Apple Music on Mac, it would be cool if we could upload our own animated album art since it will probably take a while for a majority of artists to adopt animated art if they do at all.
And I think the only feature I really want on Apple Music now is the ability to block a song from being able to be played

The Shazam function from the control center is now integrated into the Dynamic Island which is pretty neat

I hope this new variation of SharePlay will work outside of CarPlay. Many people I know don't have cars that support CarPlay, and it would be useful outside the car, like at a small party.
Is it possible to toggle between normal album cover and the animated one? I like the new version but would like it if the old version is still available tho, bc I sometimes like to upload my own custom album cover to an album 🥺
I've been using Apple Music on Android for 3 years, and for me the Crossfade function has always existed.

I just really wish Apple would focus more on actual usability upgrades, such as improving the queuing system and adding customizable eq rather than just visual upgrades.

I'm not an Apple Music user : I sync my music from iTunes on my MacBook, I don't care about the animated ones but will I be able to see the covers in big as well ? I think it's pretty but that would be my only reason to update my iPhone tbh ! Thanks already !

I love that album but I don’t like the animated artwork because the glow on the horse doesn’t affect Beyoncé’s legs at all. Lacks attention to detail which is totally not Beyoncé-like.

hello the fit to screen/animated album cover is not working on my ip14 pro max. i have downloaded the ios 17. crossfade is working. can someone help?
My crossfade feature doesn’t work. How do i make it work? Also, animated cover arts do not work for every song on my device for some reason.

If you coming from Winamp or Jet Audio era, cross fade was basically the most basic thing they do. They got more effect and DSP that Apple couldn’t even impliment.
Winamp can even add echo to the vocal or change it to robotic, and so much more. I just wish Apple learn what Winamp did decade ago.

Some albums only have the small animated version. Apperantly that is an option for the artist.
@@samuelramirez2638 I finally figured it out, in accessibility there’s a setting in the display section and you have to turn increase contrast off, I don’t know why but now it works

There used to have a pop up message that would ask you if you want to clear the queue if you accidentally click a song while the current queue is playing. I hope they will bring that back. For some reason with the latest updates that feature has been gone.

No. Only air pod pro 2 generation.

I had iOS 17 on my xs max and I loved the full screen animated album art but when I switched to the 14 pro max it stopped working, if anyone knows how to turn it on or bring it back please let me know.

I’ve been a Apple Music subscriber for years but honestly there’s no compete do Spotify algorithm.
Using Spotify for 4 months now I’ve never discovered the amount of music I’m listening right now.

been using this since 2017, tried Spotify but i don’t like it,

Ugh. I so want to experience iOS 17, mainly cuz of the fact of Apple Music overhaul, but I have only one iPhone, and don’t have a secondary iPhone, hence, I cannot, as there is always a risk of loosing my data.
Gotta wait for public release. Heh.
As a Spotify user I never thought about that but is it possible to synch Apple Music between devices? I really like to control my Music playing on one device through another (example hearing music on my iPhone but controlling it on my iPad). Maybe I‘m doing something wrong but it didn‘t work on my test subscription and I think it‘s one of the essential features for a cloud based music app.
You're talking about Spotify Connect, and you're correct, it doesn't work on Apple music
You can only stream to another airplay device via WiFi. Which is better than Bluetooth, but no hand off.
All I want is if I put a music on my list it should appear on the top of the list not the bottom

My biggest issue is library section. That was the thing I wanted to be redesigned the most. That’s the biggest reason I use Spotify, because I can quickly find what I’m looking for. While on Apple Music you get a bunch of text and unnecessary view of recently added music. So it’s a bunch of click, click, click to find what you’re looking for. And the artwork is too large, meaning you’re spending too much time scrolling through. Ios 9 had the best music library interface
Crossfade has been available for years in the Android version of Apple Music.

The only feature Apple Music absolutely has to have, is handoff support between devices. They coined this concept and idea, and competitors like Spotify have it, but they dont.
Actually only Spotify has it done full right. Maybe they have patents on the concept.
There is a problem on Apple Music. There is no emanations for the Album Taylor Swift, 1989 Taylor’s version nominations.
