    He was caught for speeding offense not reckless as the title alleged. As a road users we all have to play a part like obeying traffic rules. No need to feel happy when see others flouted the traffic and rules and are caught.

    just over the speed limit. if that is considered reckless then the carcam guy also a bit reckless. tt being said, that undercover TP shd catch those van drivers for hogging the middle lane.

    To start with, the biggest reckless drivers are those driving in the middle lane and the right lane while not overtaking anyone. Lane discipline has never been Singapore's strongest point definitely... The Singaporean police should be fighting with lane indiscipline more energetically rather than with speeding on a 2x3 road...

    • @itblocksg
      @itblocksg 4 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      That only applies to expressways, not normal roads. On normal roads, you plan which lane you are supposed to be on where the next turn is going to be for you.
      And in Singapore, only the first lane on the highway is an overtaking lane. The rest are not.

    I don't see how the red car driver was reckless. But I can clearly see that there is a road hog at 1:07 of the video. That is they guy I would have wanted taken to task. You just don't sit in lane one while faster vehicles are approaching!

    • @davidelement3513
      @davidelement3513 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      The vehicle could have been driving within the legal speed limits unlike the red car and the owner of this vehicle that filmed this scene.

    • @SJIsles
      @SJIsles 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      @@davidelement3513 Yes, David. That is precisely the problem. Whether or not you are within legal speed limits, if a faster car approaches you, you must filter to the left and let that car pass. If not, by definition, you are considered a road hog. It is quite amazing (and I am not talking about just you) that in Singapore, very few actually seem to understand what road hogging means. This includes people who use the words "road hog" to refer to people taking the rightmost lane when other lanes are empty. By definition, this person taking the rightmost lane is not a road hog. While it is advised that if other lanes are empty, you should take the leftmost available lane, since that is what is considered best practice, you are not a road hog until approached by a faster vehicle and you refuse to give way. I hope that clarifies.

    • @FadzliRealtor
      @FadzliRealtor 4 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@SJIsles I always stay on the left lane if the road is empty. There is no need to always be in the middle lane (which most people do irregardless of the speed limit).

    Sensation of speeding is not about beating the red light or 'winning' to see which car can go fastest, as many comments here suggest. When you drive a powerful car, just speeding from one red light to another is shiok enough. The acceleration and power. It's freaking annoying the people who hog the right lane and then judge people who accelerate past, or sneer at them as stupid idiots trying to speed in tiny Singapore.
    So many of these "how fast can you go, still stuck at red light" comments don't get it. Sian of hearing that same old line.
    Not saying speeding is right, and definitely whoever breaks the speed limit should be punished. But just explaining the sensation behind the acceleration. It's not usually to race with others or beat red lights or save time. In fact sometimes you don't mind taking even longer to reach your destination, take a longer route, just to enjoy the speed a bit more.
