The merc isn't bad either, my dad had 2 190e's and I'll just say, they aren't here anymore. Electronics were a nightmare.

If the 500E had large tire size like the Aristo, it will leave everything in the dust. note, the E500 front brakes are the same as the SL600!

Serious question: Why didn't they compare with the 540i E34? Same 4-door but with a 4.0 V8 making 268hp and 400nm. Were there no 540i's in Japan at the time? I feel like it would be more in the others classes, since the M is more performance oriented.

I can't belive that aristo is faster than m5. Sure it has 2j and twin turbos but it also has 4 speed auto. The only logical reason for me (other then scripted race) is that aristo has actually more then 280 hp.
because it does make more than 280. most non vvti gtes made around 320-330 wheel, the aristo is probably closer to 310 due to the power loss in the A340 auto compared to the Supra V160 6MT
It had the same power as the M5 in reality but with alot more torque, the 500E was similar as it had similar power and alot more torque even with Auto it's close.

BMW and Mercedes sold in Japan back then were not by authorised dealer 🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔? Because the car shown is LHD, not RHD... Japan is a RHD country, authorised dealer must sold the car according to the traffic rule of the country...

Tuned Mercedes 500E was crazy. I forgot what Tuner but you could see the Super Charger

スープラと同じエンジン2JZGTEが載っていました。
自分のアリストはコンピューターと吸排気系変更と足回り交換のお気楽ライトチューン仕様でした。
見た目のわりに速かったので普通にR32とかFDと追いかけっこできましたね。
けど、ガンさんみたいに真似して振り回すと自分の腕なら死にます（笑）
