Having just finished your Snikkt Snikkt rewatch, it really draws attention to how misunderstood Cyclop’s optic blasts are by most directors.

As much as this is great nostalgia, the level of detail is what does it for me - Magneto's speech and the tear that rolled down his eye, the way Scott uses his powers to propel himself, the acknowledgement of Storm being Omega level - clearly made with love and bu fans
I hope the writers of this write for the live action Xmen content in the MCU as they truly do seem to understand the dynamics. Skills tone/ mood ,and overall character of the Xmen.
9:03 Thanks for the reminder, Storm. They probably already know that there's an audio issue here, I just thought it was funny that Storm would randomly remind us who she is. 😅
holy shit. both those episodes were wild. Cyclops is a bad ass. Magneto is a bad ass. Storm was bad ass for an episode and a half. the Jean Clone. my nuts are moist.
I freakin' loved the first 2 episodes. I literally got goosebumps- and I do mean that literally- during the "Omega level threat detected" moment of the pilot
The first 2 episodes were incredible!!! I absolutely loved this season premiere kick-off! I wasn't born in the '90s but my father kept a bunch of VHS tapes with a lot of the old X-Men: The Animated Series episodes on them and I grew up rewatching those same episodes as a kid. The action was fantastic, and I'm really digging the new animation style for the show. I just binged the entire original series, and I gotta say that this is a significant step up in terms of animation quality, of course. All the characters are just as charismatic as they were in the previous series, if not even more so. Hearing some of the classic voices return for their roles in this Revival series is so heartwarming and nostalgic. I'm also really digging the new blood when it comes to the new additions to the voice cast. The new voices for Gambit, Scott Summers, and Jubilee specifically sound really great and worthy successors to the original voice actors. I'm really loving what they're setting up for the overarching story of the season. I can't wait to move on to the next batch of episodes as soon as they release. Everything feels like a significant step up to a lot of the great things from the original show and this is clear proof that the people who worked on the show are true X-Men fans in grew up watching the original animated series. Ultimately, though, this awesome premier batch of episodes really reminded me how much I missed the X-Men as a family. It's been awhile since I really delve into the world of the X-Men like this and honestly I'm glad the show came out to reunite the fire I have for the X-Men that's some of the old fox movies might have dampered a little bit. Marvel's/The MCU's first crack at the X-Men was done masterfully, in my opinion, and I can't wait to see more! 10/10 Premiere for this show! 🎆✨️🙌
I enjoyed the first class movies for the most part. I watched the animated series with my best friend every Saturday morning even though we weren’t sitting together. Nothing will ever top the first time we saw Jackman on the screen. Both of us were low key giggling the whole time. It was great.
I feel like the first image we get of baby Nathan in the crib was a bit of an homage of his powers since we see the items from the mobil floating above him but dont see theyre actually part of a physical mobil till it changes to an angle from below. Nate Summers' powers are the same as Jean's but taken to the extreme. His only drawback is that after contracting the Techno Organic Virus in the future, his abilities are near constantly taxed or in use due to holding back the infection, which is why Cable rarely if ever uses his mutant abilities, rather relying on tech and fighting talent.
I’m not sure if it was on purpose, but when Nathan is born and Scott sits down, he blocks out Nathan’s left eye, which would be the eye effected by the techno-virus
Anyone else catch Cyclops' eyes visible behind his visors and uou cant track his emotions and leadership. In two episodes they really made him a strong and tragic leader who has to choose between continuing Xavier's legacy and starting his own family. They knocked this show's premier out of the park and im here for it
26:00 Something, a very small detail that I noticed, was as Magneto levitates the book over to Scott, you can see the metal corners of the book glow showing how the book has even just a slight hit a metal on it and establishes what part of the book Magneto was able to manipulate.
"Helfire Gala" isn't just a reference to the Hellfire Club, but they are specific state diplomatic events during the Krakoa Era of the comics. During the second Hellfire Gala, the mutants terraformed Mars and psychically broadcasted it to the world!
Cyclops was always my favorite xmen growing up all my cousins would clown me saying he’s soft. But damn this episode showed him off in the most bad ass way.
You didn't mention how the theme song itself is different. In the original animated series, there was something that sounded like a church bell going off at the end of each "verse". That was absent in the themes of the first two episodes of '97
Ron Wasserman wasn't credited on Dr. Strange 2 either, just Saban and Levy, so that crediting will likely prevail in other projects should Wasserman's theme be used again, which is likely. This isn't fair of course and you'd hope it would change
It seemed to me that when the X-men are fighting the sentinels, it looks like Rogue does a stone cold stunner on one of them and then tossed the head at another sentinel. It would make sense as he started using the stunner mid 96 and started hitting his peak popularity around 97.
It's truly as if the animated XMEN never skipped a beat , just as adult themed as I remember growing up. All the XMEN are straight up G' in their own rights.
Did anyone else think the ferris wheel kid from episode 2 was Peter Quill? The time lines kind of match up and the cassette tape looks pretty similar 👀

Absolutely not. Magneto is capable of terrible things but NEVER against his own kind.

No. Not at all.
I love that Morph is the one to open the door to see Jean Grey, signaling to the viewers that it isn’t Morph in disguise
