Brother...it is the MANLIEST love song ever written. It is, when a man is TRULY IN LOVE, the essence of how a man feels. And to cry listening to it...it just means you're a real man. Ladies...if a man sings this to you....know he ain't playing.
I had a man playing guitar to me; that's how we met. Through our relationship, he played to me many times. I became ill and saw what was really happening. I discovered he was cheating, stealing, and was on the sex offenders list. Now, when anyone plays to me, I listen, thank him, and walk away.
One of thr best storytellers, ever..Before he became an awesome solo artist, he was Kenny Rogers And The First Edition. Awesome singer, un any genre...
I love that your grandparents are involved in this, and that they watch you! I miss my grandparents every day! I'll be 67 in a few days, you never stop missing them when they are gone!
Another legendary artist that could reach your soul with an amazing live performance without production tricks & dancers to distract you from the actual music. He gave so much great music to the world. RIP Sir.
Written by a great artist sung by a legend. Words spoken directly to every woman on this planet and words every man wish they could speak. They don’t make this kind of music anymore.
LADY IS ONE OF THE GREATEST LOVE SONGS EVER WRITTEN. KENNY ROGERS SINGS IT SO BEAUTIFULLY. LIONEL RICHIE WROTE THAT SONG & IT MAKES ME CRY EVERY TIME I HEAR IT. WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Kenny can be country but he also has swag .. he can be a little soul and R&B .. I’ve seen him 5 times live cause my mom loves him .. she’s 82 so I can see why grandma likes him too!! Lol 😂 ❤️
Welcome to the world of Mr. Kenny Rogers. A true storyteller. Try "Gambler" for some true life advice. Thanks for reacting and R.I.P. to a true legend.
We grandma's know beautiful music, seeing tears in your eyes shows you really appreciate the actual meaning in not only with your ears but more importantly, deep in your heart
I HATE "Islands In The Stream", HATE that song, EVEN THOUGH i DO Love Dolly Parton Songs AND i LOVE ALL of Kenny Rogers Songs, But that ONE song of THEM TOGETHER, i HATE IT, ha ha!
RESTING IN PARADISE . Kenny had a show in the 70's it aired on Sundays I was little but watched it every week. Ruby was the first I remember love all of his music🙏🙏🙏👑👑👑💖💖💖
Thank you for doing this reaction. And bless you for loving your grandmother enough to honor her request. I’ve been a Kenny fan for 25 years !!! He sings this song ugh Lionel, please check it out. They were close friends for many years, and it shows when they sing together. RIP Kenny, you will be missed!
James!!! This my moms favorite song since I was a kid!! I used to get jealous of Kenny Rogers when I was like 8 years old lol because she said she loved him! I said “NO YOU DONT LOVE HIM, YOU LOVE MY DAD!” 😂😂. Was always a family joke lol I’m gonna show my Mom your reaction later if I see her or tomorrow! ♥️ She def gonna be brought to happy tears 😭♥️ Thanks James!! RIP Kenny 🙏😢
I've been waiting for you to react to Lady. One of my favorite songs. Kenny was in his prime during this time. React to "She Believes In Me". I think you'll like it. Always listen to Grandma.
Listen to kenny Roger's and lionel richie singing lady.when their older it is a great performance and you have to watch it.Rip kenny what a wonderful man.3 times lady another great song.
THE LIVE VERSION REALLY SUCKS BIG TIME! Kenny Rogers AND Lionel Richie BOTH ARE OLDER IN that Live version AND THEIR VOICES ARE NO LONGER SOUNDING GOOD, THAT LIVE VERSION SUCKS BIG TIME, ha ha! :-) :-)
Rest in Heavenly peace Kenny 🙏. There's a video of Lionel and Kenny singing this song together...pure magic! I've watched it a 100 times, it's that great!
Grandma rocks young fella, lol. Kenny had a full and amazing career. Very under appreciated. He was nicknamed gambler because of his famous song and movie of that title. His duos were also great! Check out We've Got Tonight. R.I.P. gambler.
You have such a awesome grandma for giving you these old songs to listen to. That's when music was good and country music is like a story if you listen to them. I love watching your reactions
Yup when a music artist makes you feel the music , you know they are genuinely talented! And you can sing the song along with them ! And whenever you hear a fav , it triggers a memory in your life . Always !
I've followed Kenny from the first time I heard him singing with 'The First Edition'...watched him become one of the greatest singers EVER...glad you like him too...
Your reaction made me cry lol ! Congratulations ...It is one of the best lyrics I ever heard . Mr Kenny Rogers will always be a Star . Love your channel. Thanks 😉
Rest in peace, Kenny...you were amazing! And we also grew up with him in Kenny Rogers and the First Edition before he went country. This is one of the songs that made him popular and Islands in the Stream with Dolly Parton.
This song gave you the same vibe it gave me. Even tho I like to think of myself as a strong man, this frickin song puts me in a place near tears as well. But it’s also a song that brings an inner peace and calm that the world could use more of. I’m getting older now and just feel very happy and lucky to have experienced music like this to listen to and to have in my music library.
Kenny Rogers has been around for decades. So glad your grandma turned you on to him! There is no such thing as a bad Kenny Rogers song. He crosses genre's and can really tell a story through song such as Lucille in the Gambler as well as several others and as you just experienced he can sing a love song! I will encourage you to listen to everything from Kenny I mean literally everything. Whether they were just album cuts or played on the radio. Another one I would suggest that you do that you will probably get a little teary eyed is called "Through the Years", It's absolutely beautiful. If you don't want to get teary eyed listen to him sing "Lucille", The Gambler", " Coward of the county". Another one of my favorites of his that was in album cut is called, "The King of Oak Street'. Even if he react to all of those that I reckon you'll just be ever tip of the iceberg. There is so much more! He does have a pretty large catalog!
Get him Kenny! Get him!! Make him give us that stank face. 😄💖 James this is the best version of the song. It was new for him less than 2 weeks old so he was into it. The vibrato, the gravelly voice, the way he moves his head, the play with the mic cord. All of it pure perfection. 😊
Lionel Richie is such a wonderful writer, everyone knows he can sing, but as a writer, he is vastly underrated by the general public. This song was so popular, I can almost imagine your grandparents snuggled up somewhere and your grandpa singing this softly in her ear and making her melt inside. Kenny had a great voice, he could change the timber and volume of his voice from one second to the next. Songs and singers like this don't come alone every day.
You gotta check out some of Kenny's earlier work... "Just Dropped In" will make your jaw drop... it's so different from his other stuff. Without Kenny even saying it, you can hear Lionel all over "Lady"... great song. Gotta love that growl of his! Your grandma ROCKS man... when all this is over, and the world can come out of hiding, you give that woman a great big hug from all of us who wish we could do the same to our own. It's so great to see someone who has respect for his elders and obviously cherishes his grandma. RIP Kenny... we definitely lost a legend.
I'm new to this channel but I subscribed based on this reaction alone. It's so refreshing to see a younger generation discover timeless music like this and actually appreciate the passion and soul that was put into it! This is one of my favorite Kenny Rogers songs, I grew up listening to him and many others from that generation (and older!) in a time when autotune, flashy dance moves, and repetitive/vulgar lyrics weren't needed to top the music charts. Thank you for listening to your grandma on this one, she has excellent taste and I'm sure can guide you to other amazing talents like Kenny. I could suggest so many artists and songs to react to but it would take entirely too long. Your genuine and emotional reaction warmed my heart! Keep up the great work, I look forward to seeing more reactions like this!
My heart races and jumps around when I hear a good song too! There was a time in the 70's and early 80's when Kenny Rogers ruled the radio airwaves. Such a talented storyteller! So many happy memories of him and his music! RIP Kenny Rogers
Your face tells a million stories JB. I love watching your expressions as you listen to the wonderful tunes you play. I can’t wait for you to play REO brothers, you are going to be amazed.

Man, "Kenny mopped the flo-up with this song" -- His best ever!!
Brother...it is the MANLIEST love song ever written. It is, when a man is TRULY IN LOVE, the essence of how a man feels. And to cry listening to it...it just means you're a real man. Ladies...if a man sings this to you....know he ain't playing.

This song will make a woman fall in love with you.Just play it and dance barefoot in the back yard and she is yours forever
You can feel this music in your soul. It’s nice to see a young person, love this music and understand it. ❤️
Kenny was at his absolute singing prime here. Incredible voice. RIP

No one can make you feel what Kenny makes you feel,❤️what a voice, delicate, echoing, haunting, and manly❤️
