- Various crash clips from the 2000s, most of which I've rarely seen in compilations. Some are from the old Las Vegas track (layout), Atlanta, Rockingham, etc.
We will be uploading similar material on a regular basis so, if you found this interesting please like and subscribe. How the hell did Fox go from analyzing the shit out of every single wreck to not capturing the wreck itself and showing replays as viewed from the roof of a passing United Airlines flight?
Well it started to go downhill around the time Nascar went off a cliff in viewership so I'd wager to say that the Fox operating budget allocated to Nascar coverage is a fraction of what it once was
FOX can see the writing on the wall that NASCAR is moving more towards Amazon and CW Sports and maybe they won’t be involved as much so they don’t care as much. Who knows but it’s astonishing how bad FOX has gotten
I like how this video consistently stays with the gen 4 and COT era of NASCAR.
My favorite eras
@@therobbinsnest45 fair enough
If Fox had a silent lap 3 now, they'd probably just go to commercial
28:05 Turn 55
Yeah he missed commentating that it was the car 4 losing control
Good memories
Damn that first wreck they showed enough times they didn't need to ever show it again
Fox's MO back in the day
They had to keep up with Darrell’s mouth
Fox used to show too much angles of wrecks, now they don't show any
Replay technology was evolving fast around these times so they were always trying to show off their stuff so to speak. It was a lot cooler back then than it is now for sure lol so it looks overplayed. Loved it then though.
@@fast_mattw8059 same here, I could deal with seeing a million replays back then over missing half the action nowadays
6:19 Mike Joy: (while camera shows 18) Mike Wallace in the wall. *camera show 7 car* *7 car spins NOT in wall yet*
Yeah I think the audio and video may be off a bit on that clip
@@therobbinsnest45 Yep, because you can hear the transition that they use for replay, a few seconds before you see it
We need Dodge back in NASCAR 😅
28:19 as a person who used to be michael waltrip fan i never heard of that crash before in my life
“Only driver/owner of a single car team still left” hurts me to hear. Blue collar days were long gone before I knew what I was watching
Make no mistake, racing is blue collar in some way or form if it’s nascar. This isn’t f1
Nowaways we're lucky to even get a replay of a wreck, let alone multiple angles and an analysis
@@MoNeenja ain't that the truth? I've gotten to where I don't even watch hardly anymore. I watched the Chicago race, if you can call it that, this weekend and that was the first one I've watched since Daytona. It's just embarrassing to see what Phelps, O'Donnell and Jim France have done to the sport in just a few years
I forgot how those hard walls used to wad these things up. It's insane how many cars had the whole rear pushed to the rear tires. Thank God for SAFER barriers.
It's a mix of the barriers and that the cars themselves are way more rigid right now, which is actually a _bad_ thing because people keep getting concussions 'cause the car crumpling up doesn't mitigate all of the energy from the crash like it used to.
@@skullcrusherdestroyerofsouls in all fairness since they've updated the crumple zones on the cars it's gotten much better as of late
Classic times
Remember when a car that was tight was described as “pushing like a dump truck” imagine how tickled I was to grow up and drive trucks only to realize exactly what they mean on tight back roads lol
I YEARN FOR THE DAYS
Good video, just wish you didn't show as much replays and got right through each wreck in relatively quick fashion (like a compilation)
Yeah that's most of the feedback I've been flipping through. I'll button that up on the next one
Great video. New sub here
Awesome thank you!
Noted MWR driver AJ Allmendinger
You could make an entire compilation video of just Kenny Wallace crashes.
haha no kidding
Why can't Rusty say Kenseth? LOL
Rusty had a hard time with a lot of things, let's be honest lol
Is Elliott Sadler’s 2009 Pocono crash in here
Nah, I'll put it in the next one though. I'm currently working on it
Not a single one of these are "rare"
Should be called 9 minutes of rare crashes and 21 minutes of replays and caution laps.

Whut
It was better being The Winston Cup Series.
100%
@@therobbinsnest45 2003 and back. I'm just a classic person myself.
@@joshuaburkhart7690 Same here, and I just have a really big problem with about 95% of what they've done with the sport since 2004, and it's honestly gotten worse since Jim France took over. It's no longer about racing, just gimmicks and manufactured game 7 moments.
@therobbinsnest45 it's all about greed and money and being a woke AHole aswell. It's just turned into a circus pretty much. But if you hear people say they love the new crap. You gotta know they probably haven't never seen a winston cup race.
I remember when Winston built a red & white1971 Monte Carlo and put it on display at stores and shopping centers across the Southwest. Every time I walked in or out of the San Fernando Valley Von's supermarket I worked at, I'd fondle that bitch and count the days until the next Riverside race. 😘😘
