I think your team for the first test is spot on but they will go with 5/3. I think the experience the Irish teams got in recent weeks playing at Loftus might prove to be an important factor, even if that was a losing experience in Leinster case. People in Ireland are not feeling great about these tests both in terms of our chances and the necessity of them so soon after a World Cup. The Springboks are definitely favorites in their own land for sure.
Hola Neil.....Thanks for the comment. We agree to disagree, I feel in my heart Rassie will go 6/2 it will all be about brute power and force for 80mins, I cant see how a 5/3 will work for Ireland, but hey, I have been wrong plenty of times.
@@insiderugbywithmark Hi Mark, thanks for replying to my comment. The reason I said Farrell will go 5/3 was that is what he has gone with every time against SA., Including the last encounter at the World Cup. Also last time Farrell tried the 6/2 was against England in this year's Six Nations. On that occasion we had a backfield injury early in the game and we weren't able to substitute appropriately. You might remember that game where Gibson Park was on the wing? This was far from ideal and played a significant part in the losing of that game.
From what I pickup locally, Rassie wants to win this series. Thus a strong bomb sqaud and Farrel will want to follow the same tactic at Loftus. The Irish team as you predicted, may be spot on.
Agree for all but one, prendegast I think might be Baird as he has more experience and is super powerful in open play as well as lineout eihter way about as close as my selection as it could be
Thanks John, I hear you on the 5/3 but I just dont think its gonna happen, lets see, one of us will be wrong, ha ha. Enjoy the game and thanks for tuning in.
Mark, I believe Kwagga is going to be chosen at 8. This is a masive series and with his experience and, to be honest, he is one of the top 3 eigthman in the world
I believe Ireland are going to south africa at a wrong time leinster and munster not playing well they heart of our team I just hope I'm completely wrong
Ireland are not same lost 3 last games tired mistakes heat got to them line outs bad they are a tired outfield unfit team and hate the heat and ad injury and no silver this year no chance overall will lose 2 game by 13 points
Nonsense. Club teams aren’t the same. Ireland have won the last 3 meetings with SA. Same when SA were going to play irl in the WC, they were going to win by 15. 😅

Good point Neil, I wait with baited breath to see what Andy F does. Thank you
No I think Ireland are favourites ! 😊
@@naidoo307they most certainly ain't 😂.
I’d say Farrell will go with Henshaw over Ringrose as Ringrose has not had much game time.
Thanks for that, lets see what he does
Match them in the forwards beat them in the backs
We will see, thanks for the comment
The Irish will be missing Johnny Sexton and Jamison Gibson Park. This two were critical when they won the Boks 13-8 the last time they played.
Hola, thank you for the comment. Yes those players are missing, so it will be interesting.
Sure but Ireland have won a 6 nations since.

Hola Toby, thanks for the comment, and I like what I read. Lets see what Rassie does.

Muchas gracias. Baird yes, I can see that happening
SA are building an army not a squad so Ireland should tryout some of the newer players to the team...like prendegast blade etc
Thanks for the comment, lets see what they do.
Good call on the starters. I’d rather see a 5/3 bench with Robbie Henshaw or Stuart McCloskey at 23
Thanks John, I hear you on the 5/3 but I just dont think its gonna happen, lets see, one of us will be wrong, ha ha. Enjoy the game and thanks for tuning in.
Interesting selections Mark- I think Ireland will feel the loss of Sexton & Gibson-Parkes at halfback- very crucial!
Gibson Park more so. Crowley has done very well at 10. They will also miss Keenan and Ringrose might be rusty.
Indeed
Mark i have a sneaky feeling this young beast might make bench Cormac Izuchukwu for us pure power
Hola Kevin. You may be 100% right on Cormac, I was going to select him in my team, it was a toss up for me between him and Timoney
@@insiderugbywithmark timony to light we need power agents boks mate
Agree
@@kevincallaghan3212 get a grip only 3 kilos difference..timony is not light man and better than inexperienced cormac.fact

Interest thoughts on Kwagga, lets see.
Is Casey a international scrum half
We will find out.

Lets see what happens, they might surprise many by doing the job, whatever happens lets hope its a cracker of a rugby game.
@insiderugbywithmark subbed thank you for your reply
Neither are playing that badly.
Place has to be found in the match day squad for Henshaw. 5 -3 split
Possibly so, yes.
Agree on your backrow & replacements Mark. Loves you videos. Looking forward to the games.
Thank you kindly
Excellent analysis Mark. Spot on.
Thank you
Can’t wait for the first test to start. That will set the stage
Indeed it will
Mistake bealham spelt wrong😁

Calm down relax it's just a game good luck to both teams may rugby win

Cases if given ball. Can score
