    Hello there! How do you glue the insert to the reel? Will the 2 part epoxy do the trick?

      Yes it will, but I like to do a dry fit first to make sure everything lines up correctly. Then I build tape arbors for the insert and glue it on. Once dry I do the same for the handle and slide it on.

    I'm going start my first rod build and I'm looking for a quality exposed reel seat that does not need an insert. I want bare blank exposed. Does this reel seat sit to far down on your typical MH blank? If so can you recommend one that will work?

      I suggest measuring the rod diameter where the reel seat will sit, and then use that when choosing your exposed reel seat.

      @@reelbluecustomrods I got ya. Pretty much what I figured. I ordered from NFC so who knows when it'll show up, lol. I was just trying to pre order components.

      @@rhodesianhunter9360 - totally understand…not sure what type of blank you are using, but some manufacturers provide diameter measurements for different measurements along the blank. This would help in figuring out which components to use.
