Nice clean way of assembling the Tsuka handle system, I've done a few of these installs and interesting to see the different methods. One thing though balance the rod before installing the buttcap.
The butt cap is the last thing I always install. I use a length of spare blank to mount my builds in my rod lathe to prevent any damage to the butt cap. Also, I am able to balance the rod after everything has been installed.
Nice job. I’m looking into this system. I want it for a bass/pike rod so trying to go mag bass blank. Just wondering if the inner tube is .55 I hear it is so limits the blanks I can use. Was also wondering the blank you used.
@@reelbluecustomrods Cool, good to hear. I just make rods for myself...and I'm looking to make the next one as light as possible. So for casting I figure it's either the sk2 or this.
This video brought to you by Pro-Paste! My man buys a $100 reel seat and handle combo to save weight....adds 1.2 pounds of Pro-Paste! I bet you put Pro-Paste on the lids of your Pro-Paste! Otherwise, great build. Love these by AT.
Love your videos. Always great instruction. Thanks!

Great job on a beautiful component kit.
Thank you Craig, and thanks again for the continued support.
John, nice and very clean! I might have to give this setup a try.
Yes, and thank you. Especially when you put it on a carbon blank.

Thank you Kelvin and thank you for watching. The rod is balanced at the trigger, and sorry I did not mention that in the video.

What is your method of balancing your rod after everything is installed? Newbie here
Great video...very detailed. I've been researching the carbon handles. This answers some questions I had!
Glad to hear it Matt, and thank you for watching and commenting.
beautiful build, just subbed!
Thank you very much Adam.
👍 really good instructions a+
Awesome and thank you very much Travis. Thanks again for watching as well.
Maybe a dumb question, but do you ever put any type of protective epoxy over your g2? Or even something to make the carbon fiber grain pop more?
I do not, and thank you for asking. Thanks for watching and commenting as well.
What about the front of the seat after you install the locking nut and cover, do you ise a winding check to close the gap?
No, I like to leave it open, but the kit does come with a metal ring to help take up some of the gap. Thank you for watching and commenting.
I’m currently building something similar but can’t find any of these reel seat links
Here is the link, and thank you for watching Rey. mudhole.com/products/g2-tsuka-carbon-handle-system-kit-for-casting-rods?_pos=60&_sid=34e79180d&_ss=r

Sorry for the late response Jarrod, but the inside diameter is 14.00mm. Also using a mag blank.
Thanks for watching and commenting as well.
I wonder how many ounces of Paste Epoxy is on this build?
Not sure, but it is still an extremely light rod. Thank you for watching.
Why did you stop it at the handle and not go through the reel seat?
Stop what at the handle?

Where and how to order that kind of reel seat
You can get them from Mudhole Jennifer. Thank you for watching and commenting.
How do you like the real seat? There's mixed reviews on it.
So far so good, and thank you for watching.

@@rhodesianhunter9360 - those are both good choices.
How are people getting these when the stay out of them?
I think you can get your name on the back order list at Mudhole.
I’ve had it for over a year on the old one and got it on the new one.😊
Nice custom
Thank you Matthew and thanks again for watching and commenting.
Cool 👍
Thank you.

Красивый и легкий катушкодержатель.
НО тяжелая и не красивая сборка рукояти... слишком много лишнего.
Thank you for watching and commenting, and sorry you don’t like the handle.
