AWAKENED GLUTES & Hamstrings Workout / Glute Band | EPIC Heat - Day 11

- Glute activation, hip thrusts, Romanian deadlifts, sumo squats, banded burnouts! We will work our hamstrings and glutes specifically for the next 30 minutes in this AWAKENING glute & hamstring session!
For this glute and hamstring session, I will be using a glute band, a pair of dumbbells (or x1 larger dumbbell), a towel to place under the dumbbell to make more comfortable and a chair for the hip thrusts.
The dumbbells I am using for your reference are 15kg each and x 1 25kg for the hip thrusts and sumo squats.
You can also use a barbell or kettlebell if you have that heavier weight available!
I will be using a chair for hip thrusts however you can absolutely perform bridges on the mat!
We will begin with some activation before going into a variety of movements to target those glutes and hamstrings!
Banded activation for approx 6 minutes!
Simply follow along on screen between full range, pulses and holds!

Remember that when using the band, really utilise it!
This type of workout is different to say pressing a dumbbell into shoulder press... it is up to you to make this as challenging as possible!!

Since I started working out with Caroline (started from day 5 lol) I'm getting up earlier because I just wake up naturally... Its no longer 'sleep sister of death" but recharge before another workout
@@jagodahroboni haha I started to see much difference in my body after I started lifting weights. It was difficult when I started the EPIC II program. Some days I just didn't want to do one more burpee or lunges but now it's a different story. The strength I've got mentally is so much more than just my physical changes.

This is so on point. I like the silence, it's peaceful but the workouts are intense.
I also like the slow, controlled movements as opposed to trying to do as many reps as fast as possible like some workouts. I think that’s why I enjoy weight training WAAAY more than cardio lol.

Many months ago, when I first stumbled upon your videos, I could not complete a workout without breaks. I remember my first workout I had to stop halfway through and finish the following day.
I had to train myself for a couple months just to be able to start working out with you (and now I’m here and so ready to continue on this awesome journey).

Glad that I decided to go for a less heavy weight as I had got and injection in my arm today and it’s quite painful to move but I got through it! I also don’t have a band so some of these didn’t feel they were doing much but I’m still sweaty and my legs feel worked!!!!! There’s always that one exercise that is just so tough! For me it was the one legged hip thrusts! Wow what a killer! Anyone else? As much as I loved this workout I wish it was longer, sooooo on to the next workout! Happy Monday everyone! Thanks Caroline!! 🌹
Those one legged hip thrusts are killer!! And just tough to do. I definitely could not get my hips up as high as I could for double leg at that point!!! My legs and glutes were about dead at that point. Gave it all I had tho! Haha. I added on the 'Hard-working Hamstrings' RDL workout afterwards. It was a perfect pair to the workout. Loved it all.
Yessss. I went 20 seconds on n off for that. I got a heavy muscular leg to lift 😂

@@matthewalmond4688 Yes, bands are deceptively hard, targets all the lesser muscles, I can sometimes get a better burn from them! My arms just needed a break from the weights, will wait a week or so before I start again. Will be practising my sprints in the meantime!! Have a great day Matthew!

When anyone asks me a positive outcome from covid I always say Caroline. Honestly I wish I’d discovered her sooner but better late than never for sure. I won’t go anywhere else!. Heavier dumbbells are on my birthday and Christmas lists . And I bought these flute bands. They’re the best out there ❤️🔥❤️🔥
Yesterday I did an 8k (700m high) uphill hike in the beautiful Desierto de los Leones in Mexico City, I am happy to say that neither my knees nor my back hurt and today I completed the training without any problem.

Word of advice before startin this workout, Stretch!!! Be intentional and do dynamic stretches/one of Caroline's warm ups and also do not forget to do some deep stretching once you are done.

Just finished ... Caroline really knows how to challenge us!😉😃 Amazing routine ... loved today's finisher (outch!😅😅😅). Combined this one with 15 minute 'hard-working hamstrings' and a 4 minute plank. It was just perfect ... Thank you, Caroline! Happy Monday!😃

@@nikolinajosipovic7611 Hi Nikolina! Thank you!😊 Today I used 2x 13,5 kg and it was o.k. Normally I used 10 or 12 kg (sometimes 8,5 kg depenting on the workout). Agree, agree ... we'll feel our poor glutes tomorrow 😉🤣. This one is an amazing burner ... you'll feel the finisher (it felt like never ending 😉)🔥🔥🔥. I'm sure you'll kill this workout when you do it! Yes you said ouch i undestand how you feel ,im always feel the same ,so challenging Caroline 😅.we not knowing to sleep sure 😆activated whit this workout ,,so short rest we having,,but im doing both lower abs too ,and what not doing much time ,,standing abs whit dumbells ,,huh now i say im eneough tired and satisfayed🤣.Im sure you rock this and you feel the same your muscle targeting .Happy and relaxant rest day i whis🤗💦👋💣🦵👏.

Done! I thought Heat was going to be easier than Fuel, but nope! She really packs a lot into 30 minutes and Heat has been one of the hardest programs that I've done so far. I can tell I'm getting stronger for sure 👍
The burn is really REAL 🥵🥵🥵. The finisher did it for me.

My glutes DEFINITELY felt this 😆 I'm lucky enough to have a barbell at home and I've been slowly and steadily upping the weight and I feel so good! Started at 7.5kg now onto 15kg and it's only day 11! Something I have learnt as well is that Im stronger than I think I am! Have definitely learnt to push myself 🥰🥰

Omg, this workout is so perfect, you feel that you are working the region well, with a workout that is not that difficult.
