Listen!!! This needs a love, love, LOVE button… Growing up comes with growing pains and if I could go back and tell my younger self some things lord knows I’d have the longest list ever of things… But the first one would be to just be patient…

Wow what a wonderful video! I'm in my late 20's now & agree with everything you mentioned. I'm still struggling with the very first thing you mentioned, but only bc I have attachment issues😅 I know there's some ppl I've outgrown & I just need to let it be, and focus on the fact that it's ok. You're such an intellectual and so beautiful girl. Love the egg chair set up too, please keep the videos coming!

Great insights and lessons. When I worked at McDonald's in my late teens and early 20s, sometimes I dreaded going, but looking back we had so much fun. Always laughing, gossiping. The good Ole days 🥰

Happy belated birthday! I’ll be turning 32 in November (the 14th). So welcome to the 30s club.
I resonate with your first point. My friendship circle has dramatically decreased. But it’s okay. It also has to do in part to the fact that I’m content being alone. And if we naturally drift apart, that’s life.
I JUST started saving lol. I finally got into investments, so praise God. That’s such an important point to “pay yourself first.”
5:38 SAME 😩😩😩 girl! And I look back now and think: “there was absolutely nothing wrong with me.” The Lord had to really help me get to the other side of comparison.
7:03 same! I just stay in my lane and really be content with life and where I am.
7:30 As a Christian (not pushing my beliefs on you) but there’s a scripture that says God causes all things to work together for our good. And that has been a faithful promise I’ve seen through all the trials and tribulations of my life…especially when it came to relationships 😩
My contribution to this discussion, the biggest lesson I’ve learned is I can choose how to spend my energy, emotions, and efforts (all Es) 11:09 I LOVE THE OFFICE 😂
Becoming self-aware and being emotional intelligent has been game changers in my life. And it took so many failed relationships, outbursts, regrets, to realize I don’t have to feed drama. I don’t have to be a people pleaser to be surrounded by those who love and want me. So, I know God has to keep testing me to work these lessons in (because sometimes I forget hahaha).
Thanks for your video. It was really introspective. 💜🧡

Candace: If you're the same person at 30 that you were at 19,.. something's wrong.
Me: That's true, but also her theatrics,.. I'm dying of laughter

Girrrrrlll!!! I love EVERYTHING you said here 💖. I cut off 'friends' of many years that never had my back. Saving is better than the material purchases. I bought a car (never had a car payment). However, I am buckling down on savings and investments now. If I'd saved and didn't buy clothes or bags much I'd have quadruple my current savings. I can't live anyone's life, BUT mine! So, I am enjoying what I have been blessed to receive. All is not always as it seems, either, so I don't compare. My 20s taught me that 1: what's meant for me will happen, and if it doesn't it's a lesson or a blessing 2: to enjoy ever day, because tomorrow isn't guaranteed 🙂. Say I love you and thank you now, while you have the chance. Great video, Candi 😁!
