    Another thing to add, make sure you updated both your adapter AND the controller before trying to sync them. I couldn’t get mine to work until I updated my controllers and it worked fine . Of course, you have to use a pc or laptop to update them

      @Maria Clara Tavares yes, it works perfectly.
      Some tips to save everyone a search:
      1- update the adapter.
      2- After pairing the controller to the switch, if it doesn't work, hold the share and up button for 5 seconds. If it's still not working, hold share and L1 👍

    One major suggestion I would make toward the 8bitdo adapter is purchasing an USB extension cord with a power switch on the cord itself. The major benefit is that you can effectively disconnect the controller WITHOUT having to unplug the 8bitdo OR turning off your switch. Additionally, when you disconnect the PS5 dualsense controller via this method of switching off the 8bitdo via the USB extension cord with the power switch, it will shortly thereafter turn off the controller. You can simply turn on the switch on the USB extension cord and press the "home" button on the PS5 and reconnect incredibly simply this way as well. This also makes it possible to attach two controllers off the side, where in the video it was a challenge to do so. HOWEVER, you can also use a USB 3.0 Hub to connect even more controllers if you would like!! I would recommend connecting the USB hub to the 3.0 USB Port located on the back of the Pre-OLED Switch Dock, since it is specifically designed for faster input/output communications. If you have a 3.0 USB Hub with 4 ports, like my own, you could effectively connect 4 8bitdos while still leaving the ports on the left side of the Switch Dock for the Game Cube controller dongle for Smash Brothers, for example. Hope this additional information is insightful and helps many of you who wish to connect a multitude of Playstation or Xbox controllers to your Switch for Smash Brothers competitions or Mario Kart nights with friends!! :). (Note: The USB hub can cause the 8bitdo connection to not automatically pull through, simply reset the connection of the 8bitdo by turning off and on the USB extension cord explained earlier and you should be good to go! :D )

    This might not have been the case when the video came out but color is not an indicator of the version; V2 is now also available in "orange". The real way to tell them appart is that the V2s have a large 2 on the front... but apparently yours doesn't so that ALSO seems to have changed in the meantime.

    So I would like to use this little guy on my PC with CEMU. I would like to pair a Switch Pro controller to it. Using regular Bluetooth I pair my Pro controller to the Switch, which is always easy. But if I want to pair the controller to the PC, I have to unpair it, and pair it back again every time I go back and fourth between Switch and PC. Its kind of a hassle, which I'd like to avoid. Do you know if this device pairs to the Pro controller, while keeping the gyro function in tact on a PC? Thanks!

    Technically it works but it puts the Dualsense at a disadvantage. On PC the adapter makes steam recognize the Dualsense as an xbox controller, which mean no gyro support for shooters. The Dualsense gyro is also not as sensitive as the official switch pro, so if you're playing Splatoon you'll be at a disadvantage against switch pro gyro players.

    • @CandarianGaming
      @CandarianGaming ปีที่แล้ว

      @@von_dn7783 Just with a blue tooth adapter. Steam input supports playstation controllers with button/gyro customization but haptic feedback/trigger adaptive triggers aren't typically supported in PC games. DSX which is a couple of bucks of the steam store, allows you to add your own custom adaptive trigger settings and there's a wealth of options there. I personally use reWASD because it functions better than steam input and has adaptive trigger settings also but it's a bit on the pricey side. Out of the 2 just get the Dualsense. It's the only controller that has a magnetometer on the gyro, which makes it way more stable. Not as sensitive as the switch pro gyro but that can be altered on PC anyway. The headphone jack won't work in wireless mode though.

      Not only that but the bluetooth market is full of scams and straightforward false advertising like bluetooth 2.0 claiming to be 4.2 or 5.0 it's flooded with shit and trash that just flat out don't work and if your motherboard doesn't have bluetooth or its got connection problems and won't stay connected or has unusable range it's painful to try and find bluetooth 5.0 for headphones like Sony or others and if you have a small room without room for a big chair to sit at a desk bluetooth mouse and keyboards are your only choice for pc gaming and just buying a bluetooth keyboard only to find out your motherboard has shitty bluetooth pairing and won't stay connected to your 60$ wireless keyboard and your 5 year old Sony headphones have audio static and you can't even walk 25 feet away from your computer and stay connected but your laptop in a mini tower can stay connected to your headphones all the way into your backyard more than 150 feet away it's a pain to deal with especially since I dropped 4300$ on a redux pc and it's got shit bluetooth pairing and connections problems

But mine is grey, had it for about 3 or so years now and it syncs PS3, PS4, PS5, Xbox One (Bluetooth version), and Xbox Series controllers to my Switch. So I'm really wondering what this version would do differently than the others? Maybe vibration? It seems pretty spotty on the one I have regardless of what is hooked up to it.

      Depends on whether you have the first or second generation adapter. If your adapter is black, it shouldn’t be giving you that issue. If it is Orange or Gray, it is the first generation. Microsoft updated the type of Bluetooth the Xbox controllers use and the first Gen can no longer link to them without firmware updates.

    Mine is not working. My Xbox controller connects perfectly fine to the adapter but it does not control anything on the switch. In addition, when plugged into the switch dock, it will connect to the controller, and then immediately turn off and then on again. Anyone know what to do?
    Note my friend has this too and he will try to help me tomorrow

    I have the grey one for two years but I end up dropping and since then, started to being weird, only working on an adapter instead on the USB directly on the switch. Doesn't even get recognized on pc and only works when it wants on Switch, I have to try multiple positions to start working.
    I already order the gen 2, hope works well.

    The Wingman XE2 and Wingmane NS converters both state that they only work with a single controller at a time, which are real deal brakers - I aim to play wii games in multiplayer on PC - and I don't look to buy one adapter per player.. The XB2 adapter does not state anywhere how many controllers it allows at the same time (at least I haven't found any information on it) - I also cant find any information on if 8bitdo adapter can handle multiple controllers - would you happen to know if Wingman XB2 and/or 8bitdo can handle multiple controllers - that is the main metric that needs to be in place for me after compability - since I love to play with friends.

    • @Reviews2Go
      @Reviews2Go  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No. Only one controller per adapter. But you can plug in more than one adapter for connecting two controllers at once. I’ve done that with the Non-OLED dock with one adapter in the front and another inside next to the other ports.
