For anyone wondering, these are called overcoming isometrics.
Omg you people are fucking dumb, squatting incorrectly and trying to make a silly video doing some wanna be Warm-Up Squat/Stretch isn't some random bullshit feild of exercise you randomly say
Bruce lee did them. What are the benefits aside from explosiveness?
@@Asmodeus05I've heard some people say that it is good for building more toned muscles but idk if there's research on that. makes sense though. any muscle tone you have is actually your muscles constantly contracting while keeping themselves in the same position, which is exactly what an isometric hold is.
It’s the Static Dynamic protocol. Ross Enamait used to preach on it!
I pushed my PR deadlift by 30kg in 2 weeks with those. It works like a charm.
Trip, Make sure the squat rack is bolt into the floor first.😅
Eddie Hall ripping that shit out of the ground
Was not expecting the random Konosuba clip 🤣
Fr💀
Thanks for the name man
Same lol
From my understanding this will increase the muscle recruitment in that specific position. It looks like you have it adjusted to about where you would start a jump.
I honestly see no upside this gives you that explosive squat couldn’t do better
The purpose of the exercise is to get the maximum nervous stimulus. The exercise trains the nervous system for maximum tension
@@manuelamaro3166 I know from just a power lifting perspective it’s used to get stronger in position you get stuck in. Like if missing a PR and you get stuck at the same position doing this in that position teaches your body to apply more force in that position.
Some heartbroken teenager: *lifts the whole rack*
**Breaks the thing**
Edit dam this is the most popular comment ty for 350
Gad dammn 430 tysm
**Has to pay the gym for a new rack**
You actually want to attempt to break the bar. To get the correct effect, you have to use every muscle in your body for 6 to 12 seconds.
This builds your tendons. Created by Alexander Ivanovich Zass, in the early 1900s. Bruce Lee incorporated these exercises into his routine and it helped him build strength and speed.
Dragon door has a product isochain and isomax that allows you to use isometric exercises to their full potential. NoLimitSquad TH-cam channel has nothing but isometric exercises using the isochain and isomax.
If you are trying to make yourself strong, isometric exercises are the way to go. To do it in a public gym you’d need the proper setup and the ability to set it up for you to perform the exercises.
In a lot of gyms the places are usually pact and the equipment is typically being used by someone else.
Isometric exercises are being done by strongmen and other sport athletes. It is the old/ new thing.
The guy who came up with it, built his strength trying to bend the bars in his jail cell. He was eventually able to break the bars and then he created the isometric system. He never worked out before.
*doesn’t have enough money for new rack*
*Gets taken to court by the gym*
gets taken to jail
something that helped my chest mind-muscle connection a LOT, was this exact thing. You can just extend your arm flat and push into a wall like you are trying to squeeze at the top of a chest fly, hold that for about 10 seconds and really squeeze your pec right before you hit a set on bench and I promise it will feel so much better.
Wow that really works thanks !
I just tore my pec after doing this. Thanks!
@@dustyzbrick9510 rip
Um i ripped the squat rack and now the gym owner wants repair fees. Good job
That's what you get for having a Minecraft profile picture
Lol
It is definitely true! I have also seen Julius Maddox do the same movement but for bench press
His coach Josh Bryant is a big fan of them. I was at Metroflex one day when Josh was training Peter Edgette and I got to help hold the power rack down when Peter was doing isometrics. Peter later bench pressed 600 and was the youngest athlete in history to do it at least at the time.
@@MeatHeadMedicalSchool that is fucking sick!
isometrics are incredibly underrated movements.
Static holds work my squat jumped up crazyalong with other exercises. Static contraction power factor training
Bro got an F in physics, thats not gravity you're working against. Its the bolts holding the rack to the floor.
Eddie hall casually Lifting Up the squat rack
Overcoming isometrics are great for explosive power. Bruce Lee did them often.
Box jumps are great too...
This is what bruce lee did to get hands so fast that he had to slow down for cameras
For old ass cameras yes
@@wyldeyouthdamn bro been dead for yrs and niggas still hatin
@@wyldeyouthlmao 😂
What did he do? Push up against the squat rack?
@@metalkicker23 apparently
instructions unclear... i broke the pins and lunched into stratosphere
Bruce Lee did this type of training, it's called Overcoming the isometrics
"Gravity is going to win"
*fights the pins*
Isometrics for PAP is pretty gnarly
Your editor is having fun 🤣
Bruce Lee science‼
I’m sorry but that last clip was hilarious
Post activation potentiation. Its a cool thing
Soon as my meniscus stops dying, I'd love to give these a go
pro tip to have the whole gym look at you
I tried it, now I’m squatting the whole gym
Eddie Hall enters the chat.
bro gonna lift the entire building
That's not how gravity works mate
Its the bolts in the floor that win, not gravity.
in other words, potentiation
"Gravity is going to win"
These things get anchored to the floor. Gravity ain't winning, the concrete is.
Me sitting on the toilet watching this, executing an explosive movement
Literally me right now!!!
How to fucking break your knee:
hardest workout: talking to a woman till failure (impossible difficulty)
I called it Earth Impossible Lunge
I just did this and the floor anchors broke and the rack fell over.
My new goal is to shatter the pins on my squat rack like this
Thing not bolted down. Thing begins to tip to the side. I win over gravity.
Is it gravity? I'm pretty sure it's the weight of the squat rack that's winning. Better have plates stored on it.
This is called French contrast, it’s an actual lifting regimen
Gravity has nothing to do with it, fortunately for astronauts.
Instructions unclear now owe the gym money for flipping the machine.
Like a pin press on bench, nice
won't this damage the bar? bro I only got one bar and I can't afford to replace it.....
If you damage the bar from doing this then your bar sucks.
Bro you own gym equipment but you can’t afford a bar? You probably bought all titan stuff including the bar.
if your bar breaks thru this then either the bar is trash or you have reached peak human form
I broke my back. Spinal
my back is destroyed
False. Hardest lift you can do is to lift your legs after leg day
reminds me of recruitment pulls for climbing if you tell your body it has a need to pull harder it will adapt
I could lift the whole gym with enough pre
Only do this if you own the gym guys.
My squat rack isn’t heavy enough so I win
Is being explosive and being powerful two different things?
Gravity has nothing to do with a squat rack thats bolted into a cement floor lol
I got banned after I tried that exercise, I tipped the rack over 😢
…So basically isometrics? Oh actually if y’all do mma or just fight sports in general, this is a great way to really build strength
I thought this was going to be about the Inch dumbbell
What is this hardest lift called?
😂 it’s a good exercise tho
Isometric squat?
Split Squat Pinned ISO
How many reps?
all of them
is that ryfront
Scoliosis has entered chat
I flipped the rack over …. Gym cancled my membership. Thanks a lot 😒
I sent the rack into the rafters doing this
Jokes on you im on the moon
Hardest one is lifting yourself.
Bruce Lee training
*Enter Kev dog*
as a PT myself I wouldnt really recommend this at all
Thank you I got banned
Sorry to break it to you there’s no such thing as gravity
I assume he also enjoy pushing against walls.
Winsome 🤟🏾😁🔥🔥🔥🔥
But his legs are skinny, I lift to bulk, Apparently this lift will not bulk.
so just say f my back and right
If you can talk through the exercise, youre not doing it hard enough
Is he aware that it's nailed into the floor
konosuba
what anime is that?
Konosuba
or just do squats
Until an absolute gorilla walks in and lifts the rack
Haha you use 4 plates?
Pathetic i use the entire rack
Wtf
😂
just be doing stuff
this makes you look stupid in a busy gym lol
Clearly you havnt been to the gym
