I think the rule of thumb in my case is to assume that I can do anything a steam deck can do and nothing more. I have fallout 3 running through Lutris as the gog version is free through Amazon. And it’s running flawlessly. I’ve learned a lot these past few weeks.

hey man! just installed it. its giving me a black screen the whole time. also, on that verification screen you skipped, its telling me something different. "Steam needs to install these additional packages: libc6:amd64, libc6:1386, libeg11:amd64, libeg11:1386, libgbm1:amd64, libgbm1:1386, lib911-mesa-dri:amd64, libgl1-mesa-dri:i386, libgl1:amd64, libg11:1386, steam-libs-i386:i386" i havent tried all of them, but when i tried to install them manually, the ones i tried said they were already installed and at the latest versions.

whenever I try this it says Error: You are missing the following 32-bit libraries, and Steam may not run: libc.so.6 and when I try to install it it says there's no installation canidiate for libc6-i386

yea you need to share sd card for your linux, click on sd card in file manager and click share with linux then go to storage in the steam settings click add drive go to mnt double click then click chrome os right click on white then turn on hidden files double click on removable click on your micro SD card and click select

@@ChromeOSMadeSimple I actually fixed it myself and it worked. So what you have to do is go to your interface and take off all the boxes it says on there like shading and stuff and it’ll restart and your good to go. Unfortunately cromebooks with steam do not use external hard drives. The computer will recognize the hard drive, but if you try to attached it to steam it’s completely useless.

how do I access the interface cause when I click steam it pulls a “proceed with installation” I press enter 2 times and then my steam is open but black

yea you need to share sd card for your linux, click on sd card in file manager and click share with linux then
go to storage in the steam settings
click add drive
go to mnt double click then click chrome os
right click on white then turn on hidden files
double click on removable
click on your micro SD card and click select

@@ChromeOSMadeSimple I actually fixed it myself and it worked. So what you have to do is go to your interface and take off all the boxes it says on there like shading and stuff and it’ll restart and your good to go.
Unfortunately cromebooks with steam do not use external hard drives. The computer will recognize the hard drive, but if you try to attached it to steam it’s completely useless.
