Figured it out, one step you done include is the placement of the Dyno Role and that it needs to be above everything else otherwise the permissions are overruled/ignored
That's usually a given for any administrative bots. They typically all come with their own custom role that needs to be ranked above other roles, or it won't have the priority

Such a easy tutorial, thank you so much :) Not sure if its explained in the video as I didnt watch it all, but if anyone is noticing that the dyno bot isnt assinging roles once you react, make sure dyno is above the roles you want it to give you. so for example, dyno has to be above the 'member' role in the role list for it to assign that role :)
I realize this video is about a year old but I'm just learning Dyno and your video shows something at 12:54 that many don't: when you select a new emote the previous emote unselects itself. Do you have another bot that is doing the unselecting? (My version of Dyno will correctly update the role, but it leaves both options "clicked". I posted on the Dyno Discord and they say the unselecting isn't something coming from Dyno. I would love to figure out how you got yours to unselect the previous choice.)
I thought there was an option on Dyno Bot to set that up. I'll have to check next time I'm on a computer. But if it isn't Dyno Bot, then it's YAGPDB.xyz bot. I use that one as well and it does have that option. So it must be recognizing the Dyno Bot reactions and doing the unselecting for Dyno. Look into YAGPDB if you're needing that feature.

This is just not working at all for me. I can get the emojis to pop up with dyno but when I click it the roles aren't getting passed out to anyone that clicks.
Put all your Discord bot roles high up in the list so they have permission. You can create a visual 'Bots' role and add all bots to this role and place the Bots role down the bottom and tick the box to make it a visual role so that Bots appear below members in the member list on the right side of the app.

Hey Garrett, I followed this tutorial step by step but when people in the server I I a mod in tried choosing a role, they did not get the role on their tag in the members list.
ive checked all the permissions and they are exactly like yours. It just won't give the role. The emoji works. Everything works and is identical to yours but it just wont assign the role.
you didnt actually show how to set up the check box for agreeing to rules- its already done when the video starts. never done a bot before. no idea how to setup the click box... help!!!
I'm glad it worked but I'm sorry they stopped working for you. I haven't had this same experience so I'm not sure why they stopped for you. Did you perhaps adjust roles or permissions at any point that may have impacted it?

Now I checked again before applying to my main server, I realized it was not working properly anymore. Not a big problem I check other bots now. i'm trying to do this but with affiliate and none affiliate... they get assigned the role but immediately get removed, how do i fix that? i tried it with YAGBDY aswell and it does the same. i do have an assigned role when they unlock the server, but i wanna give them seperate roles to be affiliated or not aswell.
i followed the setup but my roles arent reacting like urs - i even waited a few seconds so if it had to refresh or something - still nothing any ideas?

@@EagleGarrett lol I was trying to say I need it to add and remove roles at the same time. I figured it out by making the dyno bot add the role when it’s checked, and when it’s unchecked, use a different bot to add a different role to the person.
IV just followed this excellent tutorial of yours...but I tried to do this with colours ..to change your username font colour so people can choose there own colour ...it dnt seem to work ..any idea how you can do this?
You'd have to create different roles with different colors and then put those roles above their other roles in the roles list so when they reacted to the colors, it wouls assign them the role that goes along with that color. If it is above all their other roles, it'll change their name color. So put those roles at the top of your role list.

You need to make sure the bot has a role higher than the roles you want it to assign. Also make sure you permissions don't prevent people from reacting to reactions. Last thing would be you need to make sure the bot has permission to give users roles. Try each of those and see if they fix the issue.

It clearly doesn't work for me, i tryed over and over again and its not working, when I click button "SAVE" it doesn't save me, i just get a notification on the right bottom of my screen: "Duplicated emojis aren't allowed" and I don't know what to do, tried everything, still doesn't work:(
i don't know if dyno bot is broken or not in 2023, or discord just banned dyno bot but it refuses to accept new messages.( it constantly says error message not found) the only option as of right now it to post the message from dyno bot i must have copied and pasted ever id it asks for, i even manual entered it at least 600 times. it refuses to auto role and accept messages. i despise the fact youtube allows outdated tutorials to stay up.

THEY CHANGED WHAT YOU NEED TO HAVE FOR PERMISSIONS AS WELL. whoops forgot i was still in art panel text mode lol. so i re installed it.. that what most videos fail to include... the bot may break from time to time check its permission and if all else fails uninstall and reinstall it lol

Yeah, I had the same problem. Dyno was below the reaction roles on my Roles list. I'm glad I realized I had to move Dyno above the reaction roles.
This was EASY, it worked first try, and it freed from stress so THANK YOU

edit: Oh I see now, yes 3 total setups, but you can have a whole bunch of reactions inside these 3 setups.

You have to upload the emoji's to your sever as server emoji's if you want to use something specifically.
Did not work for me it says could not add reactions when i did everything correct with perms

Go back through each of the steps then, if it didn't work for you, there is a step missing somewhere.

If they are on the same message, yes. You can set it to only allow one role to be selected and if another is selected, it'll remove the first one.

How do you have the custom emojis? I don't see any of my server emojis in the Dyno Website.
You need to make them first and upload them your your Discord. Then they will be there.

No, it is addressing the roles once they click the reaction emoji. If set up correctly, once they click they'll have that role.

For me whenever I go to the reaction role select the role and add the emoji the twitch and TH-cam don’t pop up
You have to add those logos as emojis in your server, then they'll pop up.
I already did. But whenever I try to add the emoji it doesn’t pop up
