- This truly was a FISH of a LIFETIME for me!!
In this episode we head down to Crystal River florida to kayak fish kings bay for snook, redfish and tarpon! This hidden florida fishing spot did not disappoint! This was a trip of a lifetime fishing this beautiful area!

Canal fishing like this is very exciting. All that man made structure for snook to hide around and what not. The large mouth at the end was a shock.
Definitely a ton of life through there!

man I miss Florida sometimes...gorgeous fish but at 2:55 when the manatees are passing you is where I truly missed where I grew up.

Really happy for you, Nate! Really nice snook! Way to stick with it after losing that big fish. Laughed at the gafftop. My first fishing trip to Florida, first morning I made a cast right where I saw 50 pound tarpon rolling…and caught a gafftop. Slimed me something terrible and completely ruined my white Bugg 😂

Man, I'm from Ohio. Been out with a friend to the Crystal River area a few times. Caught tons of species. Great trout, some snook, never a red, though. Some of the most memorable trips of my life.

Brother, those sailcats are some great eating. My pb is well over 8 lbs on a 3/8 oz jig with a 4" Yum white walleye grub. Tasty.

Heck yeah! I think I’ve seen them once in the Canal and that’s it.
Snook are my favorite fish to target got a 36in 20lb mounted on the wall.

Big Big fan Nate. Sold me on doing a trip to Crystal River. Might take my Hobie Yak (on Trailer) or my 16' Stumpknocker boat down, Any advice on boat and budget friendly rooms close to the action?
Awesome!! We stayed in a VRBO house on kings bay if you look back at our first video in Crystal River (3 videos back) i do a walk through of the house and put the info in the description to book it.

Those were manatees. The springs there are loaded with them.
