Had mine for 12 years. Fantastic watch. Replaced the band once, battery 3 times and last year replaced the LCD. I wore it everyday and never took it off. I fish in the sea at least 3 times a week. It is still in remarkable condition considering the punishment I have given it for years. I have 2 more tide and moon G Shocks, the GW 7900 and the GAX 100b so at least now it only gets used now and then. PS I really enjoy your content and am a fan of your channel. Keep it up.
Hello, you say you also have the gw7900. I myself am trying to decide whether or not to get that or this gulfman. What do you think is the better watch to buy from experience? Thanks!
@@misterpeedot its a fantastic watch with tough solar and multiband 6 for under 100 dollars. It has the wings under the band that makes it very comfortable on my 7 inch wrist. It's a touch bigger than the 9100 which I prefer. They both tough as hell but I would go for the GW 7900 if you had to choose one.
Bought mine in 2011, worn it every day since then. Absolutely love it. Haven't needed to change the battery once yet, still going strong. Comfortable, lightweight, rugged, reliable. It's been a perfect watch and hopefully will serve me well for another 7 years!
One of the toughest G-shocks and waaay underrated! The cristal for example is more recessed than on other models making it a lot more difficult to scratch the glas.
I have this model. Wear it daily at work for years. The strap has traces of use ( scratches) but the watch functions correctly. Very rugged model , I recommend it for anyone looking for a G-shock.
I have had this watch for several years. It is a great watch. I have other g-shocks but this one gets more wrist time because it is more comfortable. Specially if I'm working out, it is very light , so it is perfect when I am running, playing sports, going hiking, etc.
I have the model before this, the g-9000 and the Mudman has 4 alarms, 2 stopwatches, light button at the middle, but doesn’t have the Tide Graph, nor the Longitude-Latitude in the G-9100, and the ‘Moon phase’ as stated in the video. Great video man!
Love this watch. I've had mine for almost 9 years now. Changed its bezel & band 2 years ago and the battery the year before that. Definitely stood the test of time, gone fishing offshore on many occasions with it and not a single corrosion can be seen from the metal parts.
*_The button tone presses aren’t annoying. They actually have a practical purpose: you can confirm you’re in Home Time Mode by the high tone sound without looking at the watch screen when cycling between modes. The GA-100 series don’t give us that option which is a shame because the button tone presses are muted by default._*
@@pjaytomazar4234 Press "Light" button and hold it for 8 seconds. "A.EL" will show up on your screen, marking that upon turning your watch towards you more than 40 degrees it will automatically light up. Cool stuff
Great review. Impressed with how important you made this g-shock stand alone compared to the standard stainless steel models. I’ve had mine about ten years now and it’s never been in salt water. Sadly more damaging is hot bath water. Which has made the case and strap go gloss black otherwise is fine, on its second battery.
Great review! Appreciating the outdoors scenery. I never could find how to calculate the lunitidal interval of my location to configure the moonphase feature. Also in the Southern hemisphere we see the moon upsidedown. It would be great to be able to invert the moon display. Regards.
Thank you for noticing and for your compliments! Not really making videos as a job yet but I do likes the ideas of it. I’m still learning as I’m making these videos everyday. Thank you very much for watching!
@@gshockhighfashion Thank you very much. I was searching online for G with little size. I found AW-590, buy it, but looks weird with analog. I like digital.
There are 3 variations of this same Gulman series. This is the non solar-waveceptor version. Yours might be different. Either way, Japan made ones usually have better circuit board construction quickly. Usually but not all the time. 😎
@@gshockhighfashion ok thank you!! I love watches in general (mechanical ad automatic too) but I think that every one should have a G-shock watch because of the incredible features that they gives you with a affordable price!
Current price in Tokyo for the GW-9100-1JF 6 band wave ceptor version with tough solar, tide and moon indicators is JPY17000 for tourists. Awesome price for an awesome watch. I spent days looking at G-shocks in a lot of stores until I found this particular version. Incredible value for money for a very beautiful watch.
Ive handled one personally and this is technically smaller than tha g-9000, due to the placement of the strap which fits better on thin wrists than the g-9000
Solar feature is awesome. But is it worth 3 times the price of this model? The battery on this model lasts 7 years, and even if it runs out you can easily buy one for around 7$
I got this watch just today, but i will be sending it back. In reality it looks like a toy. A well made one, but still. It looks nothing like an adult watch. Imho.
A toy? It looks nothing like an adult watch?? This watch some what used by Brazilian Special Operations Command (Brazil SWAT team). Can refer to the movie "Elite Squad 2".
@@ctlook5105 i respect your opinion and facts. Mine was also a subjective opinion and matter of taste. I do not expect people to agree with me. But i stand by my view. It has some ify design (small moonphase dial, but big second-circle or whatever it is called; the first digit for the 24 hour format is smaller and unaesthetic when it has to show the number 2, etc.). But i ended up kepping it and using it. I do not hate it.

@daveirvine3594 do you know where i can get a LCD for a GW-9010 Mudman just asking lol

Have this Gulfman. Someone who had gone to Kyoto, Japan, few days ago, got for me on my request. Love this beautiful watch.

The Gulfman is the gold standard. Years of collecting G’s later, they’re gone while the Gulfman remains my go-to. Love it.

Not such of big deal. I have a FW91 from 2006 still working. Changed battery after 13 years and the strap after half year. That's all. Still working.

I've had my Gulfmaster since 2008 and I still haven't had to replace the battery
Two features of this fantastic watch, which you forgot to mention is auto light and flash alarm. Just an amazing watch.

I have this watch, i like it very much.... Unlike other g shock this watch is not to big for my small wrist.
one of my favorite G-Shocks period.you nailed it my friend, keep up the great reviews.
What is up my g shock monster brother from South Korea 🇰🇷wow
Awesome review. Adding this into my collection today. Can’t wait 👍🏻😁
It looks tough and cute at the same time

Got mine in 2010. Still on the original battery in 2022.
Love this model so much especially the dual illuminator, but the strap looks very plain.
I’m torn between this and GA 800, which one would you recommend, and comfort-wise, is the band on this really that better than the band on GA 800?
This Gulfman is better overall. But it didn't have the 200 laps functions like GA800 though. Fit & comfort wise, this gulfman wins as well.
Well done my friend this is an honest g shock
I like it g-shock gullfman..👌👍
The perfect G Shock tbh
The gulfman did not evolve into the gulfmaster, but instead two separate lines distinguesed by man being digital and master being digital/analog
Gracias por tu vídeo 👍🇪🇸🇨🇴
This is such a nice watch. Will it still look acceptable on female's wrist?
Sure will, size is just good enough and the fit is good.
@@gshockhighfashion Bought it and loved it. Thank you for the review!
Can set the countdown timer for only 20 secs?
Not possible. You could only set it to every 1 minute increments.
I have the same very pretty watch
They're great piece!
Just got one.. Tnx keep it up!
You're welcome!
PLEASE please please has any Sand entered after that drop you gave it?
What is better this or the GaX100 g lide?
This one or the g9000 which one do you recommend. ?
I'd prefer this instead. The G9000 is harder to use but it is more popular.
I buyit because paul walker wear it in movie Hours(2013)... And i love it so much 9100
Is there auto light?
Yes sir there is.
