I owned a 991.1 Turbo S for 5 years. The operating cost for low. It is not that expensive to insure. My E 63 was more expensive to insure. It is extremely reliable. In five years and over 20,000 miles I had virtually no repairs at all. One all-wheel-drive sensor went bad and my heat exchanging mixing valve went bad. and before I got screens for my grills down below, I had one Rock take out the condenser. That’s it in five years. It requires no extraordinary maintenance. The only hit you get is there is some depreciation initially if you buy it new.

I test drove several of them about 3 years ago and is as nice as they were I couldn't pull the trigger. It honestly reminded me of my Macan Turbo. Sure it was faster but you really could only enjoy that for about 3 seconds and then you were going way faster than other traffic. At that point I was driving a rocketship at idle speeds. Honestly frustrating. Just too fast!!! I ended up getting a GT3 which feels nothing like my Macan... nor anything else for that matter. Sure it's also wicked fast but it feels like a special car always, at any speed.
i like how you've been driving fast cars for years and yet your still precisely honest and analytical for every each different vehicle you review..seems like a porsche vehicle is an "experience"..everything is purely functional. what i like about porches is its not to obnoxiously loud whatever the engine peformance level it is in ofcourse its still loud but its very controlled...on low speed its not going to wake up the whole neighborhood..scare old people and pets. this is the best sports car germany has. as for your garage im trying to figure out your sense style. but i actually would prefer an all white garage. please review the defender..the amg gle 63..x6m..if you have time.
That side profile of the car at the end of the video looked stunning! Beautiful, BEAUTIFUL car! The 911 has gotten really elegant looking ever since the 991 generation made it's debut.
Can you confirm having the sports exhaust is actually worth it. Have you driven a turbo S with the standard exhaust ? is the noise level worth paying the extra ? Doesn’t seem that loud ?
Make sure when you film with the iPhone for b-roll, that you select the same frame rate as your main cam so you can avoid the jitter that see in the frames on those shots in this video. Converting high frame rate (iPhone default) to filmic 24 or 30 fps tends to not look so great without extra care in processing.
Practicality of the Turbo for daily driving and also GT3 handling comparison please. Oh and you could fit a pressure washer at The Bunker! Thanks for such inclusional content.
James you really need to visit the Isle of man and drive the TT course with unrestricted roads in most places, while on the A18 Mountain rd check out the victory cafe/restaurant you wont be disappointed 🇮🇲
What shall I do with the Turbo? Well, seeing it's so awesome when you are giving it the beans...how about a "mild" track day somewhere? They say the Turbos are tough so a nice afternoon blasting around a picturesque European course would be great. In the sunshine, please. Then we get to hear it really go and see what some high-speed corners look like in it. You can drive quite well so no problemo there...drive at a good pace and I'm sure it will be exciting to be along for the ride. That's what Porsches are for :)
Cool car but then the camera work was questionable. Ur new iPhone had better video quality at some points, weird focuses on your finger instead of the steering wheel, bad lighting on slow angles on the car, and strangely long shots of food. Interesting take for a car Chanel to have 80% of the video to NOT focus on cool car and when it does it’s not actually ‘in focus’.
Have you never seen a motorcycle based Police speed camera check set up by the side of the road? Punching hard through bends on rural lanes is enough to attract their attention surely?? 🙃
That SOHO farm house are a bit up their own arse, fancy saying no we won't wash your car because its only for people staying the night, what's the big deal of a 10 minute car wash!
Didn’t watch all but would agree with the title . The level these cars are getting to now is just ridiculous. Everyone thinks (well is blokes ) can handle and drive these things like mad men and handle it but the truth is for public roads their just way too fast , you might have all the trickery in the world fitted but it’s not going to stop you going backwards through a hedge if you try getting anywhere near the limit , their basically point and shoot in a straight line wide open space type of thing but trying to wring its neck on a B road and your likely to end up in a box . Don’t see the point , would rather have something less powerful but more fun .

Porsche turbo's are awsome! I have a 944 turbo and even in 2021 its a mentale Experience
