- This is one of my favourite pavilions in Epcot - The Wonders Of Life! I used to remember visiting this wonderful place when I was a kid and was really sad to hear that it had closed on January 1st 2007.
Why the pavilion is closed, no one is quite sure, but I knew I needed to document this amazing place until it changes, (If it ever does!)
This pavilion is only open a few days a year for special occasions, but is closed most of the year!
What does this place look like with no one in it? And what happened to all the old attractions? You can find out right here!
Disclaimer - I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT ANYONE ELSE TRIES THIS. There are Cast Members who work here and security who search the area at all hours. There is a high chance that you will get caught and possibly even arrested!
I won't be sneaking into any more Disney attractions or backstage areas, so don't even bother asking, because it won't be happening... We have been to Disney World 3 times since this video was posted and we didn't sneak into any Disney attractions or backstage areas.

This building is used during Food & Wine Festival but no attractions have been operating since it closed on 2007.
The building is also used during the Flower & Garden Festival.

pretty sure i’ve been there as a kid in the early 2000s but i’m kind of sad to see it go though it is outdated

Ah, the Wonders of Life Pavilion! Even to this day I'm not sure whether this was a good attraction or not!
The Body Wars Ride was pretty memorable (but I think that's mostly because the concept freaked me out as a kid), The Cranium Command Show also sticks out in my mind as kind of funny, and I even remember reading about the Making of Me show which I remember wanting to see but was a little embarrassed to ask my mother since it was about how babies are made (I already knew about that stuff, but it must've been an awkward experience for any parents that took their kids to it regardless!)
Other than that it was pretty forgettable!

Damn dude, you totally earned my respect. Adam the Woo got banned from WDW for going thru that one abandoned park and showing it on TH-cam...he had to go thru hell and high-water to get his park privileges back.

Because when they don't have it open during those events, its closed to the general public and considered "backstage" where only cast members can go.

I remember a place called Dazzeland at the Myer Centre and back in February 2019, I managed to sneak in and discover what was left of this indoor theme park that closed its doors back in 1998.
And I had to stay as close to the walls as possible trying not to be spotted by a watchman or not to trigger an active security alarm!
Damn this video makes me sad when I grew up going to Epcot and Magic Kingdom at least once a month for about 10 years. I know things are bound to change over time but it sucks when you have so many fun memories and magical moments in them something's going down and changed

We have a surviving Buckminster Fuller design here that was a bank, then a community center and now going to be a rec center. I love the geodesic design.

For the most part, every video I've seen where people are going where they're normally not supposed to where the cameraman was caught by cast members, ended well for the cameraman. They tend to just act stupid and they get waved through.
The only exception I've ever seen to this rule was Adam the Woo (he's got a great channel, by the way, check him out!), though he seemed to be a special case. They saw his videos online and saw that he'd trespassed on multiple occasions, so they literally banned the guy from Disney World completely.
I've not seen many where they get caught :O I need to check some out, and that's a bit harsh for Adam! he's a great guy, Disney need to chill out. I'm sure there are a fair few people who go to Disney to see these places after watching these videos.

I don't see them ever rescinding their ban, unfortunately. On the bright side, he can still (and does frequently) go to Disneyland. So it's not all gloom and doom.

This building is actually used for catered events, and usually even open during the food festival....at least you can still use the restrooms....most likely the only reason they had it blocked it this time, was that they were moving the event tables out. They do have the ride section still blocked off, though....

It's a good way to be banished from ever entering Disney if you get caught. Not worth it. Interesting nevertheless!
The last time I've been there was at a field trip in the 6th grade back in 1998.
This isn't abandoned. Disney still uses the pavilion for special functions, such as the food and wine festival. It's open when such functions take place each year.

If only the doors were unlocked when I went last month, they were completely locked when I went.
Point's obvious, bub. Have you watched other videos like these? It's not uncommon to see people trespassing backstage searching for abandoned attractions that Disney has left to rot. People like terrortower2 here, Adam The Woo, Jake RK, BrightSunFilms, The Proper People, among other "urban explorers" have committed similar stunts. Asking CMs about it will lead you to their denial of its existence, so this is what they get: defiant trespassers!
For examples other than Wonders of Life, how about the original Imagination Pavilion ImageWorks? Kraft's former VIP lounge at The Land? Disneyland's Rocket Rods? Discovery Island? *_All of River Country?_*
*Follow-Up:* Stuff like this doesn't happen exclusively at Walt Disney World/Disneyland, other popular theme parks have this too. Nickelodeon Studios and Jurassic Park Triceratops Encounter are frequent targets at Universal Orlando; every acre of Six Flags New Orleans has been abandoned for over ten years and attracts explorers of the area frequently.
Been in this area several times. It opens throughout the year for the food & Wine festival and in earlier spring for the flower festival.

I was JUST at Disney! I snuck by the doors and I almost got caught! I was too scared to go inside so I took a few photos and ran for it. I'm going in October so I'm definitely gonna go in there

It's not "abandoned", it just wasn't in use at the time you went there. It's a Pavilion used for special events and whatnot.
It used to have rides and stuff, so yes, much of it was abandoned

But a general advice to "documentary makers", regardless of being professional or amateur, is to refrain 100% from commenting on the spot in your video. Add comments at editing time.... 99% of "documentary" videos are ruined by the production-illness called "talking-talking-talking"... Shoot images with background noices only, keep your own mouth shut like a professional muted-zombie ON the spot , and write-and-speak-in your comments after reviewing.... You will be amased how much your "professionality" is rising.... :-)
This place (The Wonders Of Life) had to be the suckest place in all of EPCOT, with the possible exception of Canada! I cannot believe it stayed open for 32 years! Good riddance.

whao that sucks i didnt know they closed Epcot ..man i remember going there with my mom back in 95 or 96 and going in there and was told you can get information book dinner make reservations just by going in to these booths, and mom and i were totally freaked out by the fact that you could not only speak to the person but that you could see them as they were talking to you and we could see them talking to us..
They didn't close Epcot, just this pavilion.
