So much so that they changed to 2 different logos before changing back. I don't get it. Me thinks that if it was changed once before, it will change again.
I always loved the Brewers logo...was sad when they changed it. Glad it's back. Awesome to see that you included 28-3 in your assessment of the Falcons logo. Can't unsee that!! Great video!
Anaheim Ducks 1992 to 2006. TRUE Ducks logo For the Oilers 2001 alt logo, I gave it the nickname "Mechanical Cog-met"; which is the words, Gear COG and comet combined
Wow that last one! The lion with the initials in its Maine was pretty sharp. And yes Hartford. You said it, best ever hockey logo. And I’m an Oilers fan! 😂
I've lived in Raleigh 30 years, and my youngest kid is entering Sanderson H.S. this fall. I'm gonna completely blow her mind with that - great find, FPV!
5:12 I love how you say an 8th grade art student in his notebook and you proceed to show a kid who's probably like a third or fourth grader. Actually possibly even younger
Five Points, here's a pretty obscure one: The Florida Tuskers of the UFL - the 2007-2009 variety. At first glance it's a warthog head... but look closely, and you'll see the interlocking "F" and "T". Look it up. It's one of the best logos in sports.
Fun fact: the Milwaukee Brewers logo has an alternate version for three of the major Wisconsin sports teams! The b remains, but the baseball is replaced with the Packers G, and the m is replaced with the Badgers W. Seriously, look up the Wisconsin sports logo and you'll see just how seamlessly the design is incorporated.
5:48 The other Leonsis-owned team should also be on here - on the Capitals' "eagle-wings W" secondary logo, the underside of the W is a silhouette of the Capitol Dome.
Five's fetish for artistic design NEVER stops. Whether stadiums or logos we can always count on five to upload SOMETHING to do with artistic design in sports... that and dad jokes
An interesting thing about the Mets logo: it's the old NY Giants logo but in blue and orange. It's also a copy of the New York police badge from the 19th century.
The logo of Pumas, from National Autonomous University of Mexico, which has a soccer team at Liga MX, is also great. It is the face of a puma that creates a UM (standing for Universidad de México)
0:27 Just because you saw a word on a Little Caesar's commercial from a few years ago, that doesn't make it a word... 6:35 Wrong snake movie... Samuel L Jackson's "Snakes on a Plane" rant would've been much more fitting for this video.
I've never been a huge football fan. I grew up in a Patriots house. My dad had a set of pencil sharpeners that were the helmets of all the NFL teams of the early eighties. I loved trying to draw the logos, especially the Falcons logo. They became my team other than the Pats. I got sick of Pats fans calling into WEEI saying the league should just hand the Lombardi Trophy over every year. I laughed when the Giants beat them in the "perfect" season, and was so disappointed when the Falcons blew that one.
The CFL had some pretty cool logos for their USA teams that existed back in the 90s, NFL Europe. Then there was Arena Football, who could forget the iconic uniforms and logos of the Iowa Barnstormers.
The current Super Rugby logo is dope and probably the only good thing left about the competition. Works well and leaves it open for expansion - or at this current stage, contraction - of teams in the future compared to the previous Super 12 and Super 14 iterations.
The Philadelphia Flyers Flying P logo is on my personal list. But the one I'm shocked didn't make your list is the Montreal Canadiens logo. The team's actual name is Club du Hockey de Canadiens. Their logo contains 2 C's with an H in the middle. Considering it was designed like 8,000,000 years ago, it's pretty ingenious.
I actually didn't realize that the Brewers logo had the MB in it until someone mentioned it to me recently. I always just thought it was a boring logo because it was just a baseball glove
I know you said you're not a fan of interlocked logos, but New Jersey Devils also has quite a sublime logo. It's shaped like the Devil of the Jersey Pines Barrens (the old folklore the team is based on). It also has a devil's tail and horns and just like the Padres you draw out the letters "N" "J" and "D" which are the team's abbreviations.
Some of the hidden ones I knew about (Hartford Whalers, Big Ten with the "11" inside), and others I didn't. As cool as the hidden stuff is in the Rockets' logo, the logo itself leaves a lot to be desired. To me, it looks more like a fancy hotel logo than it does for a sports team. I prefer the simple logo that they had for their championship run in the mid-'90s. Even that cartoony logo they had after that is better than the current one.
The Quebec Nordiques “Igloo with a hockey stick” logo was good… even though not many igloos in Quebec City. Apparently before they left town they were redesigning the entire team image and low res renderings of a Husky logo adorned jersey exist. (Probably more Huskies in town than igloos.)
I’m actually surprised the logo for the Chicago Fire was not included for this list. The Firefighter badge is an all timer for soccer logos. My team the Whitecaps has the symmetrical costal mountains on top and the Juan De Fuca Straight reflecting them on the bottom.
The old BattleHawks logo when flipped upside down spelled STL, and in rhe old wordmark the two t's were connected making the Pi symbol, referencing that 314 is the St.Louis area code

You forgot about the Chicago Bulls logo.
Brewers do in fact have a fantastic logo and color scheme. Their uniforms are very visually appealing too.
I swore off buying jerseys a couple of years ago, but the "Brew Crew" City Edition - or whatever it's called - is faintly calling my name.
So much so that they changed to 2 different logos before changing back. I don't get it. Me thinks that if it was changed once before, it will change again.
@@thefox47545I can’t see it, looking at how much more merch they are selling with the ball and glove logo compared to the Wheat M or anything else
The city connect design is what you're referring too. Amazing design @@GarrettWorcester
I agree. I’ve always liked the Brewers unis & logo
4:35 that art student gets a social security check every month
Montreal Expos had a great logo.
100% ⚾⚾
Yep. The big M forming the bulk (for Montreal), the lowercase red e on the left for "Expos", and the lowercase blue b on the right for "Baseball".
I always read it as "elb" as a kid. Don't like it.
ello!
@@MarsJenkar By the time I learned it was an "M" all along, they were already the Nationals...
Honorable mention to the Washington State Cougars. Always loved the WSU hidden in the cougars head.
Also the logo for Eastern Washington University Eagles
@@ericw8478them too!
@@ericw8478 nah EWU butchered it tbh... way too obvious/visible it's pretty garish
So under appreciated. Go cougs
FivePoints is a legend.
I always loved the Brewers logo...was sad when they changed it. Glad it's back.
Awesome to see that you included 28-3 in your assessment of the Falcons logo. Can't unsee that!!
Great video!
Of course, the most iconic logo of all is the FivePoints Vids logo.
It has 5 point star a number 5
3:43 - Please clip out the Falcons logo as a short.
Anaheim Ducks 1992 to 2006. TRUE Ducks logo
For the Oilers 2001 alt logo, I gave it the nickname "Mechanical Cog-met"; which is the words, Gear COG and comet combined
Thankfully, Anaheim went back to the OG Mighty Ducks logo, albeit with the current color scheme.
@wolfboy527 for me the new logo is unbalanced, mainly the triangle being smaller and makes the hockey sticks protrude out more than the classic
Not a sports logo but I’ve always loved the arrow in the FedEx logo.
Why I love this channel so much.
Thanks, 5PV! Y'all keep on keeping on.
Wow that last one! The lion with the initials in its Maine was pretty sharp. And yes Hartford. You said it, best ever hockey logo. And I’m an Oilers fan! 😂
They even managed to incorporate the state of Maine into the logo? That's truly impressive.
I've lived in Raleigh 30 years, and my youngest kid is entering Sanderson H.S. this fall. I'm gonna completely blow her mind with that - great find, FPV!
The MLB logos are the cleanest logos, simple but cleaverly designed.
3:35 The Sun's also the front wheel of a bike
Never knew I would be interested in sports logos. Great vid!
5:12 I love how you say an 8th grade art student in his notebook and you proceed to show a kid who's probably like a third or fourth grader. Actually possibly even younger
For years as a boy, I couldn’t figure out how the Expos had a logo that looked like elb.
WSU cougar logo FTW!
"You knew that was coming."
So did she last night 🤭
The 24 Hours of LeMans logo is the best in Motorsports
Awesome television! Your delivery is perfect man..
😂😂😂😂 I knew you’d find a way to make that 28-3 fit! 😂😂
Before watching this video, I knew the Whalers logo was gonna be in it.
The Detroit Tigers English D is my all time favorite sports logo. Just classic.
Aye.
great vid as always, five. never seen that spartan one, that was sick
I love the brewers logo, just the glove and the ball, iconic.
Five Points, here's a pretty obscure one: The Florida Tuskers of the UFL - the 2007-2009 variety. At first glance it's a warthog head... but look closely, and you'll see the interlocking "F" and "T".
Look it up. It's one of the best logos in sports.
The Whalers logo is so good, when their AHL affiliate was in Binghamton, NY, they just turned it 90 degrees to form a B.
FPV BANGERS, forever and always
I opened this video and said to myself "Well the Brewers must be on here". Yet to disappoint me, FivePoints Vids. I love your content
Brewers' logo is possibly the best ever. So simple, and the colors are great
just the name brewers wants me to rush to pub for a beer
The expos had a dope one too.
Getting footage from the tour stage day of is pretty cool
MISSING: St. Louis Blues. The note is a 64th note for 1764, the year St. Louis was founded
I will maintain the Chicago Blackhawks have the best logo to my dying day. Iconic, well-executed, fierce.
5:48 The other Leonsis-owned team should also be on here - on the Capitals' "eagle-wings W" secondary logo, the underside of the W is a silhouette of the Capitol Dome.
Never noticed that about Milwaukee! Cool!
2:51 They are the BIG 18 now!!!
I'm surprised you didn't include the Montréal Expos logo, which incorporates the letters eMb for Expos de Montréal Baseball
He didn’t understand the e probably
What bout the e,eh??

Another great logo is the one for the Providence College Hockey Teams! Its a friar skating with a hockey stick!
So much for Chief Wahoo! JUUUUUST A BIT OUT-SIDE!😂❤
An interesting thing about the Mets logo: it's the old NY Giants logo but in blue and orange. It's also a copy of the New York police badge from the 19th century.
My hot take: Minnesota Wild's weird Bear/Puma/Indescript Animal head logo is abundant in symbolism and I love it.
Great video! I'll be so insufferable going out of my way to point these out to friends and strangers alike
The logo of Pumas, from National Autonomous University of Mexico, which has a soccer team at Liga MX, is also great. It is the face of a puma that creates a UM (standing for Universidad de México)

Okay yeah these logos are really awesome. A lot of things you just don't always think about. Really cool stuff
The Braves logo was designed by a graduate of Virginia Military Institute. VMI is spelled out in the laces of the tomahawk.
The Falcons bit.... If I had a star, it'd be yours right now.
I expected to hear a mom joke after “whale’s tail” 😂
Five Points, your videos never disappoint, sir. The old Brewers logo is a classic.
I always liked that he Buffalo Sabres' logo says both the city name and the team name without using any words.
The only sports logo to do that. Great trivia question.
The Hartford Whalers had an AHL affiliate in Binghamton, NY. They rotated Hartford's logo 90 degrees so it became a B instead of a W.
Pure genius.
The Brewers logo looks like a "beer-league" logo, which is perfect for a team called the Brewers.
6:59 I'm failing to see the lion paw
"FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, PLEASE COME TO OUR GAAAAAAAAAAAAMES!"
As a Longhorns fan I just found out recently that the Sooners logo contains a horns down in the negative space in the letters and I gotta admire that
Nice to see the Whalers logo getting some love.

I'm not a Pats fan, but I took great joy in that one. Remember, kids: you never trust a Boston College grad with something THAT important.
It looks like a head. A head five points, your mom, knows about.

That damn Spartan logo was wild! I was looking for anything standing out, then bam! spartan!
Not a Colts fan, but I kind of like their alternative one in the shape of a “C” that includes the shape of Indiana in the middle.
that Sanderson logo is awesome!! My dad's whole family (he's 1 of 9) is in the Sanderson high school sports hall of fame which is pretty damn cool lol

LOVE the oil drop logo!
I think my favorite logo & uni has been the old Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I know it doesn’t have any special secrets, I just think it’s cool
I’m actually surprised the logo for the Chicago Fire was not included for this list. The Firefighter badge is an all timer for soccer logos.
My team the Whitecaps has the symmetrical costal mountains on top and the Juan De Fuca Straight reflecting them on the bottom.
In case anyone wondered why the Eagles logo is a bird's head facing left (instead of the usual right): the feathers conceal an "E" in them.
I always saw the Brewers' logo as being the letters BM, which is appropriate because the team was, uh... "BM" for a lot of years.
Washington State University would be good on the list too.
I'm not into hockey at all but that main Oilers logo is a top 10 in all sports for me.
This was the perfect video to take my "vitamins" too lol
The old BattleHawks logo when flipped upside down spelled STL, and in rhe old wordmark the two t's were connected making the Pi symbol, referencing that 314 is the St.Louis area code
Minnesota Wild logo is the best in terms of hidden things. Graphic design at its very best.

I knew the db was coming, but I never noticed the snake head in the A negative space
How can you make this video and leave out one of the best logos ever, the Washington State University Cougar logo is one of the best of all time.

Minnesota Wild - Simultaneously Northern Minnesota wilderness and a.wild animal head.
the fact this logo wasn't mentioned at all in this list totally invalidates the entire video.
I think it’s neat that the Carolina Panthers logo is the outline of the two Carolina’s
Heres a secret in the football giants logo. The "NY" stands for New York which is where they used to play home games.
