I keep seeing these comments but as a teen ager in the 80s all I remember is endless pairs of headphones on the bus, mates not going out because they were playing Atari, it wasn't that different then essentially except the music was far better
Vinny Itallo. I don`t get how the internet & a cellphone has become a "HINDRANCE"!!!! to many. & I was 20(b.1963)in `83 so I came thru the 70`s & 80`s & beyond.
The 1980's was like a fairy tale compared to today. At least we have good sentimental music like this to reflect back on a better time . The best time to be a teen or young adult.
B Rollins- I miss the music and some of the fashions, but I grew up as a teen in the '80s. I don't feel the same nostalgia as apparently everyone else. I had a rough time growing up then, with some really painful memories. I'm much more fond of the '90s. I don't think the '80s were as great as everyone says.
@@Sentinel66able Indeed, It was not as great as people make it out to be, though a lot of people who do say they think it was the best were only kids at the time. As an adult I can see I found it to be awful and glad when it was over, the fall of the Berlin War and the end of the Cold War! The only thing I truly enjoyed from the eighties was the music and even then there were some stinkers.
Such a beautiful song. The older you get, the harder this song hits. I miss the 80s so much, wish I could go back to those days. If only I had a DeLorean time machine. Where's Doc Brown when you need him.
It's so bittersweet ❤😢 Especially now the future seems bleak with all the insanity going on. I am so grateful that at least I have my beautiful 80s memories. Even the 90s were great compared to 2024. Wish you happy days despite.
I’m 55 years old the 80s were amazing there’ll never be another decade like it . We never had much but what we had we appreciated. Look at today it’s garbage same as the music. So glad I grew up when I did .
So with you Rob, we never had much but we went out and had fun playing football or whatever else was happening. You don't see kids playing much cos on phones or computers.
Yes. It is an era where simple things mean a lot. We cherish the times we spend with friends, unlike today where kids are spending most of their times on gadgets and not playing and socializing outdoors
I wish fones hadn’t been invented. People don’t talk anymore there faces are in their fones constantly. Wish I could turn back the clock as Johnny would say ❤
Your comment made me cry... I am 52 and lost my father not long ago. We spent so much time together and he taught me so many things when I was a kid and in my youth. I also miss him terribly. Life in this world is a weird experience, so wonderful but also so much pain in various forms. I truly miss the 1980s...

I'm 47 this year. I was a kid in the 80's., about the same age as the boys in the video. I miss it terribly. I actually felt as if my eyes were open, and I saw and sensed everything so clearly. Today it's a blur wrapped up in tech and information overload from every angle. A simple life, one in which we moved and did things. A life where we had try harder but the rewards were sweeter. This song makes me cry. I wish I could go back, my dad and grandparents would still be here too x
I was already a grown adult in 1987, was 30, but when 30, you feel you can still conquer the world had no kids at the time, remember that husband died that year in July of 1987, can't believe it has been 35 years now. Being 66 now in 2022 wish I can turn back the clock.
I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days before you actually left them ... Who knew the 80's were gonna be the best decade! Miss it so much 🥹
Back then, I subconsciously didn't took the 80's for granted. But I felt a big stab in my heart when I graduated from college in '87 and the last remaining moments of the 80's on December 31 1989.😢😢😢😢
Im 46 in 2023 and this song is still always in my play list. You only have one life, live it to the fullest. Dont ever procrastinate what you always wanted to do. Just do it now.
You don't have one life. Your soul is eternal. Live every incarnation the best you can. Respect living beings, nature and life because we all are one with everything.

This song is so good. It has more meaning when you watch the video. Love it. It brings tears to my eyes. It looks like an episode of The Twilight Zone.
I would not skip the 70s, it has real gems too. And also funny, hilarious music to make you smile. I wasn't even born yet but I often listen to 70s music.
Even though this is one of my top 5 Favourites from the 80's - I haven't heard it in a few Years. Listening to each - I sit mesmerized, it's as if I'm frozen in time - filled with Love and Emotion for those who are no longer with us - and missing the times we had - something our Kids will never ever understand. To think the 80's was 40 Years ago - Time has absolutely flown by - and it often makes me realize just how short our Time on this Planet really is. Tell the ones who matter, that you Love them - and tell them everyday. It can all end in a Whisp. Love to you all.
I listened to this number way back in 87'..i liked this song and also Europe Carrie, but George Michael was just going strong with faith album and father figure... I think 80's just burst into us with all good songs.. Today I read the word underrated.. We all had our choices❤
you nailed it when you said our kids will never understand. Im 48 and I truly think that in the history of life, being a teenager in the 80s was simply beautiful. Sending love notes through the mail, actually buying tapes and CDs. Running to your local Kmart when a new album came out....of course you try to steal it but the white plastic thing it was in was too big lol....as music evolves it makes me love my 80s more and more....thanks for your thoughts Barron...
During the 80's this was just a song with a slow and breezy tune for me but fast forward 30+ years later and the lyrics is just so appropriate...wish we could turn the clock backwards and live the life that was so good...
There are moments when I wish I could turn back the clock & take all the sadness away . I have a feeling that if I did it would also take away all the joy as well . Take Care Friend 🌞
Don't know what exactly that is but there is something magical in this decade. Even though I was so little I can't remember it but 80's are always in my heart.
Just had a vivid dream of an old flame that never went out, and this song played while we were dancing in a supermarket full of people. Still miss you Eva, after 24 years....
I'm 61 and loved those years of great music, today's music just doesn't do it you cant compare it to the 70s 80s and early 90s where is the time machine i want to climb on in and go back.
Yep, music just kinda died after grunge and the early highlight years of techno/house...basically after '94 really...the trip hop scene of Massive Attack, Portishead etc in the mid 90's being the one notable exception...
Another fantastic 80s band I enjoyed back when I was 27 now 63 the song is so much more relevant and hits home a lot harder ..."I'd go back if I could"
this song transmits a magic, it's so magical, I don't know how to explain it. I'm 41 now and I got to enjoy the late 80's and all of my childhood and adolescence in the 90's. I was able to enjoy the musics, the movies, the tv shows, the friends

Turn back the clock to the 80's please. Anybody whants to come with me?! Hop on to my time machine.
I am with you!!!!
Take me back to 1986 and I'm not going out. 😂
It’s 3 years later. Is it too late for your time machine?
53 and feeling every comment, and every bit of this song.
me too!
Also 53 and feeling every comment with you my friend
Just can’t beat the 80s! I feel privileged being able to spend my teenage years in that era.
So innocent
Me too
Totally agree! We were privileged. No doubt about that!
Please take me back to the good 80s. We were much happier back then, even without a cell phone and the internet. Today's music has no soul or feeling.
I keep seeing these comments but as a teen ager in the 80s all I remember is endless pairs of headphones on the bus, mates not going out because they were playing Atari, it wasn't that different then essentially except the music was far better
when you wax nostalgia, you gloss over the negatives of that time. i miss a lot of things as a teen of the 80s but it wasn't a perfect time for me.
Vinny Itallo. I don`t get how the internet & a cellphone has become a "HINDRANCE"!!!! to many. & I was 20(b.1963)in `83 so I came thru the 70`s & 80`s & beyond.
That's true
That's right - we were happier. Nobody is happy now in 2020/2021. Nobody.
The 1980's was like a fairy tale compared to today. At least we have good sentimental music like this to reflect back on a better time . The best time to be a teen or young adult.
So very true.
Agreed!
70s were better
Same as that…👍🙏🇬🇧..
The pure music. Simple heart touching videos. No cell phones people living life. Real musicians real hardworking people. 80s was an amazing decade
So true!
Echoing similar thoughts...
I’m still listening! 55years old but it feels like yesterday.

Your comment made me cry... I am 52 and lost my father not long ago. We spent so much time together and he taught me so many things when I was a kid and in my youth. I also miss him terribly. Life in this world is a weird experience, so wonderful but also so much pain in various forms. I truly miss the 1980s...
@@robert4you Hello thanks for your comment. I am sorry to hear about your dad I understand. I lost mine over 25 years ago. He treated me kind of mean when I was a kid but before he passed he said he was sorry for that I told him it was ok and I loved him he was a good dad.
I love the 80’s so much…
This song really makes you look back on your life and smile, and sometimes cry.
One of the great songs of the 80s.

Instagram, zero hr contracts, extortionate rents/house prices, we've let it all go down the pan for the next generation. 😔

Another great band from the 80's
im 14 now and my dad is the reason im off rap and listening to this. This is what good music is right here. Lets just say the 80's will always win!
Well said brother. Life was simpler but more meaningful back than. BTW, I'm 45
Me too bro… 42 years old by the way
Fully agree with you. I am 52 and my dad would also still be here - and my grandparents.... For me 1980s was such a great decade. I truly miss it.
I was already a grown adult in 1987, was 30, but when 30, you feel you can still conquer the world had no kids at the time, remember that husband died that year in July of 1987, can't believe it has been 35 years now. Being 66 now in 2022 wish I can turn back the clock.
@@davidharrison8592 you were about 9 in 1987?
I wish there was a way to know you were in the good old days before you actually left them ... Who knew the 80's were gonna be the best decade! Miss it so much 🥹
Back then, I subconsciously didn't took the 80's for granted. But I felt a big stab in my heart when I graduated from college in '87 and the last remaining moments of the 80's on December 31 1989.😢😢😢😢
Better than all the crap music of 2024!!!!!!
The 80s were incredible for amazing music this is a top tune
My heart breaks over and over again every time I listen to this song simply because I miss the best years of my life back in the 80’s.❤️😢

The 80s had the best music🎼🎵🎹

สวัสดีจากประเทศไทย 🇹🇭 中国🇨🇳 Canada🇨🇦
Another day is ended
And I still can't sleep
Remembering my yesterdays
I begin to weep
If I could have it over
Live my life again
I wouldn't change a single day
I wish that I could turn back the clock
Bring the wheels of time to a stop
Back to the days when life was so much better
Lying here in silence
Picture in my hand
Of a boy I still resemble
But I no longer understand
And as the tears run freely
How I realize they were the best years of my life
I wish that I could turn back the clock
Bring the wheels of time to stop
Back to the days when life was so much better
You might say it's just a case of giving up
No
But without these memories where is the love
Where is the love
If I could have it over
Live my life again
I wouldn't change a single day
I wish that I could turn back the clock
Bring the wheels of time to a stop
Back to the days when life was so much better
Why can't I turn back the clock
Bring the wheels of time to a stop
Back to the days
Oh no no
I remember when
Life was so good
I'd go back if I could
Oh oh I wouldn't change a single day
Don't let the memories slip away
I wouldn't change a single day
Don't let the memories slip away
Thanks for lyric💕💕💕💕

One of my fav bands of the 80s they still sound great n look good 🎶👍💗,
Even though this is one of my top 5 Favourites from the 80's - I haven't heard it in a few Years.
