As a seasoned truck driver of 25 years and now a dispatcher, I can tell you that Wyoming is a liability during the winter!!! They could be more proactive in terms of ice/snow removal. Be safe out there!!
I think I’ve seen two snow plow trucks since I’ve been going through there this winter! And I go through this area a lot! 😳
We will never use salt on our roads, plows are always out working. You just have to remember that 75% of the day consists of wind that causes more hell than the storm does here
We are down 40+ plow drivers this year
There is no plow in the world that can keep up with the wind in Wyoming. Lived here my whole life & you do not want to be on I 25 or I 80 in the winter.
I'm from Wyoming. Born and raised. We don't need to be more proactive about snow removal. We like our vehicles not rusting to swiss cheese. Just slow down.
We have some of the best roads in the country for good reasons. We're fine, just as we are. Thanks though. We aren't going to start salting the roads just so out-of-state folks will feel more cozy while passing through.

You have some great driving skills Becca. Love your videos. You’re a hard worker. I admire your hard work ethics’s. You doing an awesome job learning how to drive a manual shift. i’ve never drove an automatic semi truck. I don’t even think they had them when I started driving a semi . It’s a little overwhelming at first if you never drove one before but once you get used to it, it’ll become natural to you. if you’ve ever rode a motorcycle, or manual shift car it’s pretty much the same thing. Big rig manual shift just has more gears & takes a little more concentration. But you are an awesome driver. And doing amazing job.❤

from wyoming, it can get pretty bad in the winter ive had a few white knuckle moments.but the good news is ive never seen it snow in july or august here in cheyenne.

Having a dirty truck as a trucker is like having a dirty suit and showing up to give a business presentation. Your truck should always be clean and well taken care of. It's what represents both you and the company you work for. I don't understand why people complain or make comments about you doing what you're supposed to be doing as a driver. They should be taking notes and learn to take pride in their work themselves.
I work for Xerox and live in Casper... I had to drive over I-25 in that s**t several times last winter to Buffalo and Sheridan. Even had to go over Powder River pass (Elev. 9666 ft.). It was an exceptional winter, and I was exceptionally nervous in my little Ram Promaster City. Maybe next winter will be a little more normal... heh... Wyoming is never "normal". Glad you kept the shiny side up. Holler for the Mainframe on 19 if you see me.

Your "green book", aka FMCSA title 49 part 393.126, says that the container was not properly secured. A DOT officer could and probably would give you a securement violation. Put at the very least one chain in front and one in the back, go through the eyelets and hook up to the trailer, binder in the center. You need to prevent any longitudinal movement (sliding) and lock in the 4 corners. Then you can either use straps like you did, or have fun with 4 more chains, crisscrossed from the top corners, 2 front and 2 back . Protect your cdl and be safe, you're doing good 👍🏻

We had a wee bit of snow here in PA (5cm...2") the heavy hauler I know let me try to put chains on his 13 speed.
