If he had a police report, I could have submitted it to PSA, the company that graded the card, and they would have updated the cert number to show it was stolen. When the reseller bought the card from the girl, he checked the cert number to ensure it was not stolen. If the original owner did what he was supposed to do, the reseller never would have bought the card.
If ya'll talk to Mercari tell them to fix their HORRIBLE shipping. Or at least advertise when a seller is doing FREE SHIPPING on the main search screen. Their horrible shipping makes me have to do free shipping but when searching an item, my price just looks higher that everyone else's because they don't know mine is free shipping unless they click on it.
I think we will see more offers coming from customers on Mercari as buyers try to leverage that to justify paying a premium fee. As long as you accept an offer under 10% off you will be ahead of where you were before the new change. Honestly I like the change as offers create dialogue which tends to lead to more sales. We called renewal by anderson for a quote on the windows (20 windows) and they quoted us $88k and yes we laughed him out the door, We ended up going through a local small construction company and getting all the windows for $9200 with labor its around $11k

Yes, I'm not happy about Mercari's new return for any reason policy. Yes, Ebay always sides with the seller, but Mercari was different. I loved selling things for parts on Mercari because they used to back me up if someone tried to return it for not working. That was the point in having two separate selling platforms, because they were different.

I don't necessarily agree that free return deters people from returning. Since switching to free return I have had WAYYY less returns and almost WAYYY less of them lie about the return reason, meaning less INADs. Free returns for over 2 years now.
You guys crack me up😂😂 Dave what you can do is hire a handyman to do the job on the weekends or when it's convenient for you, go to window store which is a lot cheaper than Home Depot and have them replace the windows within a couple of weeks that way you can spread out the cost and personally I would change every window and slider you have.😊
The buyer has to pay the processing fee now, just like anywhere else when you make a purchase using a debit card some places charge a small fee. If I use a card at an estate sale I have to pay a fee, when I pay a bill online I pay a fee. To avoid bank fees people would have to pay cash which is impossible if purchasing or paying anything online. I guess you can call it a convenience fee. The fees have to be applied somewhere. I don't like it but I get it.
