I think it's great that y'all give back personal items that you could throw away. It's bad enough that people go through hard times, but it always makes me smile when i hear the buyers say, "We'll give these back to the owner." It shows respect for the persons loss. Thank you for all you do! Good luck in all of your endeavors! ❤
It really is awesome! I do it to! I could not live with myself knowing that I took someone’s personal belongings and didn’t try to give them back. So many facilities have told me that most people who win these auctions do not return the items and 4 out of the 5 facilities that I just bought from said they don’t even want you to leave their personal belongings behind with them, because they have been trying for months to get in contact with the owners. I still return them because I do not want that to fall back on me but it is just sad especially when someone’s whole life is in a unit.

There are a great many crafters I've seen on TH-cam who create some OUTSTANDING pieces of art from broken glass. The same with old costume jewelry. Also, the beads you thought were wood are actually made from paper. They are made from various sizes of paper in triangular shapes. God Bless you for returning the items you did. You all have huge hearts. ❤
Wade, you’re a wonderful man. When you said you are giving the lady her stuff back you milted my heart. God BlessYou. All of the broken glass is perfect for crafters.
I appreciate your kindness and respect for your returning family heirlooms. I’m sure she didn’t know the locker was for auction except on a late notice from family, she would have retrieved it before the sale……Communication is key for family. Especially with elderly members.
Being an avid crafter myself, I have heaps of boxes filled with similar crafting materials as this lady. I see them as treasure. Mosaics and rocks are two of my main crafts. I would find it very hard to be separated from my crafting boxes. I love that you will give her back her special treasure. It will mean so very much to her. Good on you! 🤗
I can relate to the lady who owned this unit, as I do with so many who lose their units. Even with the yard/estate sales of older people. Sometimes. It makes me cry.
This has made up my mind for me. My husband died three years ago. We we married 58+ years and he spent 12+ years in the Navy. Everywhere he went he bought souvenirs and I have almost everything. I was a serious sewer and crafter to so I have a storage unit that I’m paying $155 months and had another that was $65. Gradually we emptied the smaller one. Sold some things but not enough to make a big dent. We, my daughter and I had an all day yard sale and made $200. I’d rather donate it that for people to talk me down to $1 or$2 on my nice things. I will start loading up my van tomorrow.
I'm in an apt.so I have to sell things at a local flea market. People annoy me when they want something for $.50 - $1.00. I feel the same way about donating and not dealing with cheap people. I used to tell them for what they offered me, I may as well take it home.
Its got to be hard to get rid of the life long collections, but I agree that donating it will give someone more appreciation than the hours you spent rummage selling for $200. I ran 2 rummage sales in my life, and no more. Not worth the loss of the days. Never forget, keep the memories, not all the things. Gotta keep a few momentos though. 😊
In the future, take it to a local auction and have them sell it for you. Some auction companies will come to your location and give a cash offer then haul it off for you and sell it for themselves. Yard sales will never give you market price for anything and should be the last effort to sell before going to the dump or donation. If you can take a tax write off then donation would be the best way to go.
Hey guys I just started watching y’all, I retired from medical where I took care of dementia patients. The last lady I took care of I actually moved in with the last 7 years of her life bc her family couldn’t & they paid me well. They asked me in that time to go through her home and clean out closets, drawers etc.. she collected plastic bags, cardboard, boxes, cards, letters, empty containers, empty bottles, bottle caps, plastic lids, etc. etc. etc. it was part of her disease. So that may be part of what you’re finding in her storage unit.they are sort of hoarders in a way! her family could not believe what I found & she was not a crafter. She’s gone now, 98 years old, such a delightful lady! She also had beautiful things as well. I am a crafter and I do have a Mary Englebred print in my craft room lol Love your videos keep it up!!
This woman wasn't a hoarder of things. She was an artist. Hoarders don't label boxes "mosaics" and she had too much jewelry beads and chains and clasps to just collect stuff. She actually made things in my opinion.
Cool haul!!! Glad you helped the Grandma out. ❤ Not all glass is crystal. Not all etched glass is crystal. Yes..I knew Avon made jewelry. They also make clothing, footwear, bags, kitchen items.
Save the paper! I’ve been an ephemera collector for years, and the market is great for the wallpaper, greeting cards, etc. Also, sell the mosaic in lots. Mixed media artists will buy it.
I am finally catching up after discovering you. Who thought watching someone unpack their storage units would be so entertaining. I love your care and kindness for the owners and their personal stuff.

I bet those rocks are for tumbling. Old dolls are always collectible. You need gloves, anywhere in there is great habitat for the brown recluse spider.

hahaha, that's exactly what I said when he was opening the paper stuff. She was a junk journaler. My studio and garage looks very similar. She did many different crafts.
Great show! Commenting on hot shot tiny bottles. Back in the early 60’s I worked in a restaurant in Muskoka, Ontario, Canada. An order for a coffee came with that tiny little bottle of cream On the side for your coffee. Each bottle had a flat round cardboard lid set into the top of the bottle. Maybe about 20 ml. Today the term hot shot is mostly connected with liqueur, bars and drinks. I was about 12 yrs old , worked after school alongside my mom. I’m 71.
I think it so great giving all those things back to the family. A very nice gesture. You sure should get your At A Boy ! Thanks Wade and Ashly. Have a good evening.. 🙏🏻
Just an FYI for your future finds like this crafting stuff! Paper crafting is at an all time high. Junk Journaling is super hot! So old bills, receipt’s, old photos, old books! Hot hot hot! Just google Junk Journaling! You also shouldn’t have trouble selling off the old broken dishes! People are making Jewellery too from porcelain, pottery, and ceramics! Sell it all!!
Those three little vases were not candle holders, on this side of the pond they are known as toothpick holders, in England they were used as vases to put tiny bunches of Devonshire Violets in.
I have a wood high chair as well that we used for my brother and every kid after him, at my grandparents house. He was born 1977. Love all the craft supplies!
I always enjoy your videos, it’s fun to go through old storage lockers on videos, so I don’t have to look at all my old stuff lol. Couple of points, on this video the vase you pulled with flowers with a Hull pottery, vase, probably worth some money on today’s market. Their pottery company is known for that brown stoneware with the drip glaze finish on the top that we all grew up with. Another point when you referred to the Crystal vase, it is “cut Crystal” not edge Crystal and yes, it is sharper than the Dickens.
Hes actually pretty gentle. He bought this, he's kind enough to return items that are of personal value. You're just trying to find something to complain about.
Nana? Stuff from days long past of someone else's life just entered his but stuff is stuff she's getting back what truly matters to her 🤐 He's giving her back her family heirlooms. To be honest not only does he not have to give anything back or sell either it's become part of his life now and belongs to him. He only has so long to empty 5 storage units or did you not hear him say that?🤷🏻
I’m 62 now and when I was a little girl my grandmother had one of those aluminum trees with glass ornaments ornaments and the way she lit it up wasn’t by lights like we have today. She lit it up by a color wheel with a flood light behind it. It was the most awesome thing to me. The whole tree would light up and change to pastel colors as the wheel turned. As a child all l ever had was a green tree. I had never seen anything like it. She had it when my Dad was a young boy. So it’s really old and I’m sure it worth a lot.
Wade, I recently found your channel..could you let me know when your next auction will be on the internet. I’m a quilter doing projects for our church and quilting notions, rotary cutters, 4”, 6”, 8 and 9” plastic templates for cutting squares always come in handy along with the Fat Quarters and pre cut fabric bundles I’ve seen on your show. I’d appreciate hearing from you when you or your wife have a couple minutes to take a breath and get word to me regarding the next auction. If you put bundles together for sale, please let me know. Best of luck on this 25 foot long storage unit.
About a year ago he bought two lockers with the remnants of a fabric store. He sold bolts, fat quarters, jelly rolls, charm squares. It was just fabulous.
Back circa 1981, we tiled a bathroom counter with those blue tiles. We sold the house in 1991, but can see on Zillow that two subsequent owners have kept that bathroom and two others, also with tile counters, just as we left them.
Those little white and blue bottles you thought were perfume are actually snuff bottles and can bring a good price. And the pastel Hull pottery vases can be quite collectible. The crystal is cut crystal and can be sharp, pressed glass is not sharp. Cut crystal is worth more because all the detailing is cut by hand. And the biggest score is that aluminum Christmas tree in the box. You could buy a color wheel and place under the tree for different colors. Great score.
Wade, love yours and Ashley's channel, you do find good units! Love watching that you are a friendly family oriented channel. Love Grammas channel too, she's funny and sweet.
😊those tiny spoons are collector spoons. They each have state or country on them. In my early adulthood I had2 wooden racks full of those. That lady had a gorgeous home I am willing to bet. She definitely collected stuff. The Endes Blue & white set. Worth $4,800!!! The Teacup & saucer with strawberries was worth $500!!!!!
The black necklace, right after the dolls, was a Kakui nut lei representing the Island of Maui ! Very special, since it was in a box from the seventies you can be pretty sure. It is authentic!😊
If ever wondering on prices and age ect. get ahold of Curiosity Inc. He is in Canada buys and sells antiques. Has his own TH-cam channel . Very knowledgeable person
I am glad you have a heart and consider the family that lost the unit. I have seen you return a Veterans Death Flag and Uniform. The treadle sewing machine and cradle, things like that. It gives me hope for the future when I see that people like you still. live. Now-A-Days, people think only about themselves, and of course, "the almighty buck". Thanks So Very Much. Keep up the Great work and God Bless you and your team.
That Indies platter I saw for $199, Nice! The Royal Dalton Bunnykins i saw anywhere from $45 to $85 average. The aluminum xmas tree varied from $150-$800! Original packaging always increases value, awesome collections! All the China is valuable. Love the silver/metal platters too. The beautiful curio cabinet, 1970's Thomasville, exact cabinet for sale at $1200. Still a great piece. Didn't look like much at the beginning, but turned out great!
I just watched a video where a crafter used the corrugated cardboard in her crafts to make cool texture on her cardboard made boxes. (She took them apart and then reattached the sides and bottoms with tape.) She cut the corrugated cardboard in small squares and turned every other one to make a basket weave look. Then she painted them. They were awesome! This lady was a true craftswoman. I keep my broken plates and glassware too. Hopefully, I'll do some mosaics this summer.
Those things in the shoe box are from McDonald's.. My boys were born in 1978 and 1983.. So they had a lot of toys like those... but if they got broken?? I still get the blame for throwing broken toys out...
Wow you found a Thomasville furniture piece! What a find. That is some sturdy good furniture. I hate I gave away my moms dining room set from Thomasville. I was young! Great video thank you!
I appreciate your heart for giving back to the family members the precious things from their past that belongs to them.

I love the old cards.
Wow. Bunnykins is very valuable.
God bless you for your kindness and generous spirit 😊
The sun/moon disks would make great wind chimes.
I think it so great giving all those things back to the family. A very nice gesture. You sure should get your At A Boy ! Thanks Wade and Ashly. Have a good evening.. 🙏🏻
I think she owned a store.
Here in Canada, they end up in donation boxes 😁
I have a wood high chair as well that we used for my brother and every kid after him, at my grandparents house. He was born 1977. Love all the craft supplies!
Wade, put a little knife on your key chain. Lol
Thank you for being kind enough to return her sentimental items. How do you even know how to purchase a storage unit?
I remember having a wooden high chair. They are beautiful and last forever.
I have one that was my granddaughters, now its her son's. We all love it!
You’re so rough with everything. Show a little respect please. This is someone’s life you’re going thru!!
It's his
Hes actually pretty gentle.
He only has so long to empty 5 storage units or did you not hear him say that?🤷🏻
Wow old toys? Score ❤
Not anymore. These items are his now.
Congratulations..I saw how much u help your community.. God Bless
Hull porcelain is very sought after collectable great find and live your shows
Wade, I recently found your channel..could you let me know when your next auction will be on the internet.
Subscribed because you have the original owner back her family heirlooms. Thank you for that!
The aluminum tree is most likely used. You would want to store them back in the original state to keep from damaging it. Great find!
That little Fisher Price record player is like my late son Timmy's. He would be 56 this month so he was probably 3 then. Love that
Wade, love yours and Ashley's channel, you do find good units!
You found AMAZING items! I hope you take the time to know what you have ;) God Bless You
If ever wondering on prices and age ect. get ahold of Curiosity Inc.
🎉🎉hi all crafters like me would love this stuff 🎉🎉
That Indies platter I saw for $199, Nice! The Royal Dalton Bunnykins i saw anywhere from $45 to $85 average. The aluminum xmas tree varied from $150-$800! Original packaging always increases value, awesome collections!
All the China is valuable. Love the silver/metal platters too. The beautiful curio cabinet, 1970's Thomasville, exact cabinet for sale at $1200. Still a great piece.
Didn't look like much at the beginning, but turned out great!
How can anyone know everything ? You do a fabulous job so ignore those who seem so judgmenboth! This is a challenging occupation.😊 Love you both.
😂 That was a great unit and so much good stuff. Thanks for taking the time to show all us everything. USA NH
Thanks!
Didn't mean to be so cheap!.. Sorry!
Those things in the shoe box are from McDonald's..
My boys were born in 1978 and 1983.. So they had a lot of toys like those... but if they got broken?? I still get the blame for throwing broken toys out...
Around early 80s for the stuffed Minnie and Mickey stuffed toys... My eldest son went there with his dad in 1983....
I want to buy the blue rounds with the sun on one side and the moon on the other...
Please!!

Thomasville is real craftmanship. This is a jewel.
Fun seeing what you find!!😊😊😊
I just became a member after binge watching 2 year's worth of videos! ❤
I'm right there with you! My nanny had a lot of collectibles things. Not sure how much they are worth, but I have over 2,000 teapots
Wow you found a Thomasville furniture piece! What a find. That is some sturdy good furniture. I hate I gave away my moms dining room set from Thomasville. I was young! Great video thank you!
The bride and groom is precious moments
That lady kept alot of the same things I did before we were forced to move, so my heart goes out to her. 🙏
