Im in the shop again and todays project is to make a powder horn for my northwest trade gun. a trade gun was a simple weapon and I am making a simple horn to match it.
I wanted this horn to be a companion for my trade gun. Something not too special like what would have gone with it in the day. To be honest though I really haven’t done much shooting from the pouch. I usually just set up and shoot from the back of my four wheeler. I want to do more from the pouch though
Looks like it would be a good horn for a lefty
It's always nice to be able to make your own accouterments yourself. They're made to fit you and you can add your own touches to them.
simple and functional > I like to wear mine up higher so as not to get caught on brush when moving through the woods . Great Video

Once you put the cap in place, how do you get the powder in there?
Through the spout with a small funnel
HEAT GUN WORKS BETTER!!!
