Man, some of these My World shows get me emotional watching or listening to the retelling of some stories.. wrestling may be entertainment but there's a shit ton of real life involved that we fans don't really get sometimes but damn happy and privileged we get to hear these stories, thanks Jeff!
My son turns ten tomorrow, so I've been doing a lot of reminiscing and reflecting over the last few days, then to listen to that segment, it had some power. This whole podcast has definitely made me love Jeff now as much as I hated him as a kid.
Conrad is the best. I'm sure there are a lot of wrestlers wanting to do a podcast with him. I loved how he let JJ pause and get his thoughts together. I had a similar, troubled relationship with my father. I could really relate with this.
Max Andrews is the sole owner of the USWA footage. However we and WWE had both purchased non-exclusive rights to it. The Texas end at least. I'm not sure who owns the Memphis side. I'm sure Mr Hales would know.
I grew up on Bill Watts' Mid South Wrestling, used to hearing Jim Ross screaming at the top of his lungs when wrestlers would get out of control, that by 1988, when we got CWA wrestling on our local cable provider, hearing Lance Russell's deadpan delivery when someone piledrove someone on a concrete floor---it was such a shock to me from what I was used to! Lance commentating like he'd seen all before! "come on, Robert, stop trying to end this guy's career"🤣🤣🤣
Why is the audio so screwed up during the poem? On most, but not all of his podcasts' video clips, it sounds like someone is constantly turning the volume up and down or submerging the speakers in and out of a vat of motor oil.
This show is going down hill and it's sad to see. You two need to get a long and put together some longer and better episodes. Please don't let this program go to hell like Cornette's trash
