    I just learned about this stitch from a new sock pattern I bought. Your video was the first one I chose to watch on how to work it. You did an excellent job of working it, and verbally explaining it. Thank you, I am saving it. 🥰

    Those socks are amazing AND you have very pretty hands! I’m always fascinated by the simplicity and beauty in our hands. ☺️

    How funny! I've already been using this stitch for years but I just never knew what it was called. I don't usually follow patterns but if ever I do, I'll know what I'm looking at. Thank you.

    Thank you for your clear demonstration. There must be something that I do when I purl, that makes the pearl bump hard to get into, but I like the look of this heel as it seems to be symmetrical on both sides as well as less likely to leave holes. Thanks again for sharing!

      The purl bump is a little trickier to identify and lift at first, but with a little practice it becomes easier to find.

    How would I substitute this for a wrap and turn heel in a sock pattern?
    I think this is fabulous and easy but I am not familiar with toe up sock knitting so I am confused.
    This is a great and clear video. I just need to see how it is applied in a sock pattern. Thanks!

    That's very interesting...I've never come across this before. What is the purpose of double or triple stitches, or what are they used for?

    • @thechillydog
      @thechillydog  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      They are primarily used as a turning stitch when you are doing short rows, like for the shadow wrapped, short row sock heel.

      Can it be used for closing up holes underarms? Or thumb gussets?

    • @thechillydog
      @thechillydog  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I'm not sure if it would work for either of those. I do have a video that addresses the underarm holes though, th-cam.com/video/euTp37dlhlM/w-d-xo.html.

    But, how do you knit into that purl twin stitch when working in the round? Do you slip the crossed or the first one as if to purl and knit it with previous slipped s t itch and knit through the back and then knit through the next part of the twin stitch in the back loop?

    Great stitch. I’ve never come across this before but I don’t knit socks. Could this be used as an alternative to German short row or the wrap & turn even?

    • @thechillydog
      @thechillydog  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, this could be used as a substitute for either of those. It creates a slightly different look, but I think it's a little easier to manage and see what you are doing.

    Thank you for the video! It's well done , explained and shown great! Your needle is a bit blunt to mine, l knit with HiyaHiya and Chiaogoo, which are not as sharp as HiyaHiya but pretty sharp! More blunt l never like cause it's more to look not to split the wool for me. So l stopped all the more blunt brandings like wooden needles , Addi, Knit Pro (exept sometimes the tiny interchangeables and DPNs from 2,00 to 3.00 mm) , Susan Bates, and all the others. Knitting since over 44 years and a knitting teacher, l finally found in Chiaogoo and , best, HiyaHiya the pointiest, sharpest needles in the world, known to me till now! Your tips seem to be nice long, yery close to HiyaHiya, but a tug more blunt. Are they Addi Novels? (So called in Germany) What about the squares onto the lengths of the needles? Do they help not to led the yarn go down for beginners? Thanks for an answer!

      They're called addi Rocket Squared here in the US, but I believe they're the same thing. They help you create very evenly sized and spaced stitches. I hadn't thought about using them for beginners. I guess they could help keep the needles from slipping out of your knitting. Good idea!

    Are their videos for tinking (undoing) these stitches as well, I was not paying attention when I was working my heel and need to undo some stitches🤦‍♀️

    • @thechillydog
      @thechillydog  ปีที่แล้ว

      Even though I've had to rip out more than one heel because I wasn't paying attention, I haven't ever filmed the process.

    I've been looking and looking and can't find an answer! Do you happen to know if the TSK has an equivalent stitch that can be done on a knitting loom?

    • @thechillydog
      @thechillydog  ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't know. I've only done very basic projects with a knitting loom.
