  • Suzy Batiz, founder, and CEO of Poo-Pourri, has built a $300 million company without borrowing a dime or pitching a single investor. But success didn’t come easy. At 40 she found herself facing her second bankruptcy, which left her thinking she was “the worst entrepreneur in the world.” But then she had a life-changing idea. Watch this episode to find out how trusting her gut helped her to turn everything around.

Suzy is so tune, tapped in, turned on and tuned in...she is the great example of the "Law of Attraction". Money is a side effect and moving towards live ideas she is already in the thought/feeling habit of "I am abundant". Thanks Marie for a wonderful interview and for always keeping us on our game.

The conversation around "Ideas being alive" made me think of Elizabeth Gilbert's book "Big Magic" where she talks about ideas as living beings and the "Idea fairy". That book is a must-read for all creatives or wanna-be creatives (including entrepreneurs!) :)

Talk about good timing. I've been torn between two different career paths for a while now. One is practical, traditional and "secure," the other is self-driven, difficult to predict and "risky." Yet, it is the second one that keeps me up at night and fills me with electric energy. I guess I knew the answer all along and now I should start putting some action behind it. Fantastic and frank conversation. Thanks for sharing, Marie.

Such an amazing interview 😍 I’ve loved Poo-Pourri for the longest time... I tell everyone how amazing the product is and your copy makes me chuckle like crazy 😂.
My key insight after watching this is really honing in on my intuition and feeling to guide me to some answers I’ve been struggling to find for a while. Now I remember back to the days when I felt as though I was in flow and business was growing in ways I couldn’t have imagined, was because of those tingles I’d feel. Over time I’ve grown burdened, run down and uninspired which spirals into fear. As much as I keep trying to pick myself up, it only works for so long and now I’ve realised perhaps my creative energy hasn’t been harnessed enough like it used to be - perhaps I need to go out there and *really create* to feel inspired & alive again 🙌🏼 You both are such brand gurus and really make me think so differently. I continually write crazy copy so I don’t throw another boring chunk of text to the world but create fun, conversations or real talk to spread a positive message. Or at least put a smirk on peoples faces. Thanks for paving the way for me and making me think “why the hell should I need to write like a boring stiff journo that uses stuck up synonyms to sound smarter?” when really I can just write how I talk and be a real human being. #goldstarforreadingtotheend #loveyousoulsistas 💓

Biggest takeaway is paying more attention to the physical sensations of intuition accompanying business ideas and opportunities. I do it with clients every day, and yet I'm realizing I may not do it within the business context, even though it's my life as well as my vocation. (Geesh.) Amazing interview. Inspiring and grounding. 🙌

A dear friend sent me this because my business is struggling. It CAN be huge but 12 years later its too many hurdles, and I'm burned out. I would quit if I didn't have wonderful investors who believe in me. I want then to not have made a mistake in that. So once I get over this hurdle, I want to get it ready to sell so it can be someone else's new dream and do with it, what i couldn't, or should I say "didn't?". Thank you for a beautiful and inspiring interview. I almost cried. Continued success ladies, and to everyone else who commented here.

Wow so amazing. For the past couple of months I've been slowly figuring out what 'tuning into my intuition' means to me, and the way you too are describing it explains it so much. I'm very sensitive to the feeling, and have been noticing that sometimes I can't do something (like actually physically) if it gives me that contracting feeling inside. It's a great compass and I hope to keep using it to get some place great!
