Audi TTS MK2 Roadster 2009. Only the rear of the window went down. Watched this video, purchased a replacement Regulator to be ready. Undid all the covers, and discovered that the front window clamp bolt was loose. I tightened that up nicely. Perfect. Don't need to even take out the regulator. (oops). Now I have to figure out how to reset the automatic Top that faulted when the passenger window got stuck for the first time. Damn that roof is a heavy pull...
Great video thanks but what was wrong with the old one. What is it about Audis windows that make them so shit Any advice would be greatly appreciated bro cos lm trying to decide between and 3 series E90 or a TT they both seem to have more problems than the name would have you believe.
what was the make of the window regulator was it starline? and did it work properly as i put in one the other month and it hasn't worked correctly since. hope to here from you soon as there is special discount that runs out tomorrow.
Great video. I wish I had seen this before I took my 8J into the garage. Both windows went and they repaired both for £300!!!!!! But they effed the drivers side up. When you open the door the glass doesn't drop so when you close the door the glass hits the roof trim. When you're inside the car it sounds horrendous. My missus took it back but they said there's nothing wrong with it! Any idea what they did wrong so I can go back and get it sorted? Cheers. All the best.
Hi Yelp: Sounds like they didn't reset the sensors. Turn the ignition on Wind windows down and then straight back up when the windows are up release the switch then pull the switches back up and hold for 3 to 5 seconds Release switches ignition off. Should fix it.
hey, I've just been quoted £845.00 from Audi to do the passenger side only !!! Thanks Phase Projects for the video, gonna buy the kit and do it myself now.
I did all your procedure, but the right glass does not drop 1cm when the door is opened, I have already tried to program the glass by holding the button down for 5 seconds and up for 5 sec, but still nothing. some advice?
How do you train the window again? I roll up the window and it drops down halfway again and then also the automatic function when you pull the door open does not drop the window a bit so it doesn’t hit the side of the car
I was able to use this video to replace my window regulator. It didn't take me 7mins and 30 seconds but worth it. Thank you!
Great video. Thanks so much for posting. I just finished replacing my regulator and your video was a great help. Thanks again.

Did you have to change the bolt at the back as well as make the plastic washer?

Klaidi Garzenai hi did you figure this out by any chance?
hi ! any tutorial how to replace seatbelts (roadster) thanks! nice video
Hi, unfortunately not at the moment.
How do you train the window again? I roll up the window and it drops down halfway again and then also the automatic function when you pull the door open does not drop the window a bit so it doesn’t hit the side of the car
I just test rolled the window up and down. It sits in the rubber part of the regulator and doesn't hit anything.
@@ChateauxCocoa come fix mine lol I’m scared to touch my TT
Um, if you installed everything correctly, it should line up. You don’t need to train the window to go up and down again. It will do it automatically.
@@kevinraymond7324 I was afraid of the dealership quote over $900.
I should note that I purchased the Audi factory part and not the Aftermarket part…
I have the same cheap shit regulator on mine, the silver one. It pulls the window too much down. I'm having problems with it.
