    Love Rado, they are super popular in Puerto Rico. I have an original diastar that is 16 years old and still going strong. Not a single scratch on the bezel or saphire glass. Their material quality is excellent. I am liking this one too.

    Here in Switzerland, Rado is the watch brand of the old timey average (hard working) Joe, and this watch is a departure as well as a homage to those values. Spot on!

    • @marcosdoyter7460
      @marcosdoyter7460 3 ปีที่แล้ว +15

      Wow. Rado is an expensive and luxury brand. This model in particular costs CHF 2,300.00. In Switzerland, everybody is rich, even average Joe.

    • @MT-sw8rf
      @MT-sw8rf 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@marcosdoyter7460 that's not true. Average Joe works for 5000 Swiss franks before taxes and alone the rent starts from 1200 per month. So, they manage relatively well, but are way not rich, cos everything is also very expensive

    • @onthearth1
      @onthearth1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      I'm average Swiss Joe and make 150 K/year in Switzerland; which is average in Switzerland. This watch at least is affordable for a young six figure earning guy like me. I could work even harder and wear a 10-20 k rolex but I wouldn't see the value. In the same mid range luxury there is tag heur, omega and others... but Rado looks outstanding way more than more expensive mid level luxury watches.
      That being said this watch seem ideal for HENRY's( High earning not rich yet) in Switzerland or even in the USA.

      @@onthearth1 Hey, I was wondering since you mentioned that you were Swiss, who are the type of people who purchase Rado watches? Are they considered popular in Switzerland ? I hadn't seen this watch or your review until today after a visit to the AD, it wasn't even on my radar. I did know they produced some ceramic pieces but never really looked at the brand that much apart from maybe the Captain Cook. Well having seen this watch in the flesh (the black model) and tried it on my wrist, it just worked. I'm not usually a fan of black watches apart from G-Shock and other digitals but this one spoke out loud, no scratches, no worry of scuffing of PVD coating or anything like that just don't drop it or it could shatter. I only popped into the AD to talk about a rubber strap for another watch and walked out with this piece. What a gorgeous piece it is, I'm not usually a fan of skeleton dials but this one is one of the most readable skeleton dials I've seen. OH and I can't disagree with any of your comments in the review.

    Weißt is the difference verwenden the skeleton and the open heart version? Because there are really 2 versions.
    One of these watches I wore last week in a shop, looks very good. But even the watches without open heart are very handsome. The blue of green dial...
    But price vary quite a lot from open heart to normal version. Apparently the clockwork differs also.
    In one the R808 is used in the other one used R763, what ever this means.

    I think Rado is playing off the popularity of the Apple Watch with this watch shape. And why not, it’s a great product and design and so is this watch. I agree with you that Rado doesn’t get as much love from the “watch community” as the likes of other Swiss 🇨🇭 brands like Rolex, Omega, AP or Tissot. But I think 🤔 that’s why I like it so much. Apart from the Diastar and the Captain Cook, Rado doesn’t have many “Hits”. The True Square I think is a fantastic watch and is not only a unisex watch but also one that could be warm both casually and formally.
