Huntington's Disease: John Paul Jr. shares his story

  • At one time, John Paul Jr. was among the nation's top professional race car drivers. But in 2001 he had to retire from racing when he noticed that his car would not respond the way he thought his hands and feet were telling it to while driving. He was diagnosed with Huntington's disease, a progressive neurological disorder.
"It was starting to invade my racing," John Paul recalls. "I was having to actually talk my way around the track. I was having to tell myself to turn, accelerate, brake, instead of it just flowing."
Huntington's disease is a genetic disorder that causes degeneration of cells in certain areas of the brain, leading to uncontrolled movements, loss of intellectual faculties and emotional disturbance. John Paul's grandmother and mother also had the disease.
But the recent discovery of the Huntington gene -- a mutation of one gene that sets in motion an attack deep within the area of the brain called the basal ganglia -- offers hope for those with Huntington's disease as well as patient's with other neurodegenerative disorders like Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease.
"As we develop better understanding for what's causing Huntington's, then targeted approaches can be made to stop the problems from happening with the ultimate goal of trying to delay the onset of the disease or slow down the progression of the disease, to stop the damage from happening," says UCLA neurologist Yvette Bordelon, M.D., Ph.D., a member of the UCLA Center for Neurodegenerative Disease Studies. "A few years after the gene had been found, there were maybe three human clinical trials that had been done or were being conducted in Huntington's disease. Now there are 21."
John Paul's hope is that new discoveries will come in time to help his own children, who, like him, may have inherited the defective gene from their parent. That, says his half-sister, AJ Paul, "would be his ultimate winning race."

John Paul Sr isn’t dead yet, everyone even in Europe are still looking for him. But hopefully he gets found and Apprehended for both Wife’s and Girlfriend’s disappearance, at least John Paul Jr had a second chance after months in prison (was supposed to be 5 years for refusing to testify against his dad)
But I hope UCLA and other Universities finds a cure against Huntington’s disease

Being Chalices sister I implore John Paul to come forward with whatever he knows about my sisters disappearance. If family is truly his concern. Please don't let your children carry on the sins of the fathers. As I too am part of his family. Aunt Charlene.

I will carry on Charlene’s voice to get justice for her missing sister. Darlene Gray and Patricia “Trish” Paul both had relationships with John Paul Jr and covered up the knowledge of crimes committed by the Paul’s, the past about Chalice Paul & Colleen Wood, the missing, and John Paul Jr’s involvement with his father after he was released from Leavenworth prison and was on parole and in the care of Trish & John Paul Jr.
The Paul couple even let John Paul Sr. travel internationally with another missing woman, Colleen Wood while on parole with a fake passport. COMPLICIT totally!!

It is time to get Chalice's story told in mainstream media or a feature film. I hold all the research to do a project. I attempted to work with California production companies but never came to fruition yet. This could be the only way to get an active investigation on her disappearance and in connection with Colleen Wood's disappearance. John Paul Jr. we are still waiting on you to come clean with your knowledge on your father, please don't leave this earth without attempting to help us get justice for these missing women.

I am writing on behalf of Chalice Paul, former wife of John Paul Sr. Chalice went missing in 1981 and there has never been an investigation on her disappearance. Because of there not being an investigation another woman went missing years later, Colleen Wood and suspected to be John Paul Sr.'s involvement in both women's disappearance. John Paul Jr. had knowledge about his father's past but never came forward out of fear of him I am sure of it. We would love for him to share his knowledge of anything he could offer to the authorities before his demise caused from Huntington's Disease. If only he knew the impact and positive legacy he could leave behind by doing so. It has been told that "dying declarations" will hold up in a court of law and justice could be served finally. Please Darlene, shed some light on this and know the world is watching to see how John Paul Jr. ends his life with some sort of dignity and integrity. His children are beautiful and what a shame that their lives would have to live in shame knowing their own father did not do the right thing before leaving this earth.

I would feel better if John Paul would encourage his father (the coward in hiding for the last several years) to explain where both his previous wives are (John Paul's stepmothers)...both disappeared near Key West. Also, why did this same father take all of Colleen's money, much of it after she disappeared by hiring women to pose as her. Additionally, John Paul Sr. was financed by someone when he came out of prison so he could fleece Colleen Wood -- all the evidence points to John Paul Jr. Both she and Chalice Alford (the other wife) never got to be with their families when they passed, nor do their families have any information on the location of their bodies. This is as bad or worse than Huntington's disease.

The race cars JLP 1, JLP 2, JLP 3, and JLP 4 were brought out of storage upon John .paul Sr’s release from Kevenworth prison and raced in the USA and Europe when they were suppose to be ceased by none other than our Federal Government.
I hope the IRS is monitoring the income and expense on these cars. Also the current income on Amazon Prime donations being given to the John Paul Jr. Huntington’s Disease Foundation, a Florida based corporation.

We recently found out in our recent continued research on Chalice Paul that in fact her name and photo was posted in the Palm Beach Daily News about a play to be launched in the Palm Beach County area in 1981.
It was called Guys and Dolls that eventually made its way to the Lake Worth Playhouse a year after this photo of her was taken and Chalice’s casting call.
It was posted before she disappeared in June of 1981. She was at the Players.Club next to PalmBeach Polo Stadium owned by William “Bill” Ylvisaker, the founder, builder and owner of the stadium and club.
Chalice was one of the young aspiring actresses casting for the lead part. But guess who landed the part? None other than Patricia Paul better known as Trish Paul.
Patricia “Trish” Paul was John Paul Jr’s past wife before Darlene Gray broke that marriage up!
So we have bonafide proof Chalice made the flight back to Florida from
Atlanta to meet up with John Paul Sr!
Now are you going to tell me now Trish Paul you never met Chalice? From your owns words from your mouth to my ears you claimed you acquired Chalice’s wedding ring and Stateroom Key embellished with diamonds gems by Chalice that was the stateroom key that was from their honeymoon suite on board of the Queen Elizabeth II when she and John Paul Sr sailed to Lemans for the 24 hours of Lemans race.
That was shortly after she married John Paul Sr Sr on the infield at Limerock Park after the race as featured In The book “35 Years of Racing Limerock Park”.
You acquired those two jewelry pieces from John Paul Jr before she disappeared!!
Go to newspapers.com and put in Chalice Barrett-Paul to find what I found and be sure while you are there put in Patricia Paul to find the archived newspaper article about Patricia Paul getting the lead actress part for Guys and Dolls. For the proof and if no one believes this post!
Shame on all the people who knew the truth but did nothing about it. Now all of you could b accessories after the fact.
