Two Tips I left out
1. HOSTAGE YOUR FUEL!! Pretend it does not exist until you get to trailblaze power 60!! Then only use it when you establish who you want to hyper invest in.
2. Herta is the 8th Free Character you will acquire and i also believe she is one of the best early game progress units in the game who also holds their weight in endgame. She also gets free eidolons when you complete simulated universe.
Mostly, have fun playing HSR.
You mentioned Serval was a nihility character, unfortunately she's erudition, despite so much of her kit revolving around shock DOT.

Serval is erudition, If it’s not too much trouble, write that you made a mistake in the video so that newcomers don’t buy Nihility lc for Serval
Saving Fuel till TL60 is the real challenge lol, I did not have the self control for that lol. In terms of efficiency it is well worth it though. But honestly at the end of the day using a few fuel here a there between TL50 and 60 is not the end of the world.
Correction: Serval is Erudition, not Nihility. So new players, don't buy the Herta Store Nihility Light Cone for her.

Tips for new players.
1. Those missions you get where you can clear 4 tiers that give relic rewards, don't do them when they unlock. If you wait to do those runs the relics they give will UPGRADE as you level. Example: the Herta Space Station one where you collect Silverwolf stickers you get at like TB20. The relics are all blue wait til TB30 now they're blue and purple. Wait til TB40 now they're all purple relics. So waiting gives you a full set of purple relics instead of blues. Later for these on the Luofu if you wait til TB50, you'll get purple and Gold relics instead of only purple relics. Jurilo and Herta cap at purple relics sadly(I checked on my TB72 account).
2. Pigy backing off what he said I'll go into more detail. Only build 4 characters until you reach Trail blaze level 40 at the bare MINIMUM. After level 40 level your 4 main Characters until they're maxed out ONE at a time. Then focus !!!ONE!!! character at a time after that. Do not try to max out 20 characters and don't try to do it for more than 1 character at a time. Even if it is early where it's only to level 30 characters that's still a waste. Leveling a bunch of characters prior to at least TB40 but for me TB50 is also a waste. You only need 4 characters for anything you'll be doing. Seeing as toughness break isn't important early or mid game leveling for elements isn't important either so any 4 you like works. Forgotten Hall and MoC isn't even something you should be worried about until TB50+. Prior to TB 40 you get 2 star and 3 star materials for each run as well as less total materials per run. Where as if you wait til TB40 you'll get 4 star 3 star and 2 star materials making it cost wayyyyyy less trailblaze power to level characters. "But what about between equilibrium levels" between TB1-49 After you get your 4 main characters maxed on Traces, LC, and Levels in each Equilibrium level. Start farming Character exp and Light Cone exp on alternating days. Then after you reach your next Equilibrium level go back and farm for traces and Ascension materials for your 4 main characters starting with ascension materials. DO NOT PRE FARM TRACES OR ASCENSION MATERIALS "vet" players and streamers will ask "why not" Answer: Once your equilibrium level goes up the amount of trace and ascension materials per run goes up. Therefore it takes less runs and less trailblaze power to max your characters if you wait. Leveling 2 characters from 1 to 70 after TB50 takes the same time as leveling 1 character from 1 to 60 at TB40. Also to the point of "but then my characters are behind" this point is moot when support characters exist grab a level 80 Seele and turn your brain off problem solved. In the process if you farm Characters exp and LC exp after leveling your 4 main characters. You will have all the character exp and LC exp needed to fully max your main 4 characters in each Equilibrium level. After TB40 you'll have the exp needed to level anyone else after your main 4 as well. AKA any limited 5* you pull for during this period.
3. Build whatever 5 Star you got from the 1 time banner. None of them are actually bad that includes Hemiko and Yanqing. Using only Meta and min-maxed DPS is stupid in games in general unless ur a whale. Especially when you can clear everything(MoC 10 and Swarm 5 included) with a team that consists of Arlan, Hemiko, Natasha, and Physical MC all equipped with S0 3* light cones.(I know you can because I did it). So don't waste your time slaving over meta sheets too much your 1 time banner pull is without a doubt your best investment no matter who it is until wayyyyy later down the road. By then you'll already have new 5* from a limited banner most likely.
4. Do not use any purple relics you get as EXP to level a relic keep them all, all of them. Do not run any relics until all characters that you want to level are leveled to MINIMUM lvl 70 and fully traced.
5. Don't sleep on the daily 5,000 credit mission and don't forget to do Pom-Poms daily mission for an additional 8,000 credits. That's 13,000 Credits a day that most ppl miss/ignore, that's 2,171,000 credits between the games release to now. Basically the amount of credits it costs to level a 5* from 1-80 + 5* LC 1-80 + all Traces and abilities lvl 1-8.
6. Do not ever use trailblaze power on credit runs...ever..
7. Do not use your fuel until TB 60 or at the BARE MINIMUM TB 50...TB 60 is more value.
8. Do not sleep on Herta, you get her free E6, and she will be a very good main dps early to mid game and a very good sub dps all the way to the end of end game.
9. Do not spend your jades on energy DO NOT DO IT I KNOW IT'S TEMPTING BUT DON'T.
10. Don't forget to collect your chests in the world and DO NOT buy any food items from shops only buy the food recipes if anything.
Hey, didn't know that Pom-Pom gets you 8k credits and that it's daily, thanks.
And yeah, Herta is free until e4 (so far). I am yet to get a single eidolon from gacha lol.
@@elhant4994 it’s actually 3 times a day, every 8 hours, unless they changed it from launch (I haven’t kept up with it in a while because credits stopped being even remotely a bottlekneck)

People really underestimate how much Bailu brings to the table. Damage reduction and reactive healing are enough to sustain you in any content. With enough investment in HP and energy regen, Bailu easily solo sustains with no SP used (just use ult when its ready). Safety net of having revive is also nice (for example in swarm or unlucky MoC double hit on squishy support). Only downside is not having cleanse but all sustainers have some sort of drawback.
Here's some of the mistakes I made early game that you might find useful :)
1. Wishing on beginner banner after getting early 5 star. I got my 5 star early, and I thought I would get another one on 50 pity because there were people saying they got another one at pity. Turns out they were just really lucky and I lost 30ish pulls in that banner that I could've used on standard banner instead to get closer to the 300 pity faster.
2. Farming boss mats when I'm close to equilibrium level up. I prefarmed some boss mats so that I could quickly lvl up my characters as soon as I lvl up in equilibrium BUT the boss drop increases when you lvl up and so basically I wasted probably a run or two with that. If you wanna prefarm something, prefarm traces because they have garbage drops at any equilibrium level
3. Accidentally foddering ER Ropes and Speed Boots. Trust me, even if it's 3-4 star ropes/boots, you hella need them. It's better than nothing and it's so hard to get them bc of low rates and the amount of time it takes to do Simulated Universe for the ropes. Every support uses ER rope and half of my supports are still on 4 star ropes and I've been playing since launch. When you see them, lock them right away no matter the rarity.
4. Using fuel on relics. Just don't. But who listens right? If you want to use them to level up in trailblazer level or whatever, use them on guaranteed mats like boss mats or heck even trace mats.
5. Buying all trace mats from the shop. Sometimes, you just wanna get those trace mats ASAP and the grind is so annoying. I've gone and cleared up the whole shop at early game once. Don't do that if you don't wish a lot on banners and plan to skip on characters. It's hard to get enough to buy the monthly 10 passes if you don't wish. Always have atleast 900 embers on hand just in case.

Big tip for me is to use your your self modeling resign wisely. I used a bunch on speed boots and regretted it later when I couldn't get energy regen rope which is a must for all support units. Cogs is really good too

My advice is to always keep 900 embers. This allows you to get the 10 passes in the shop each month.

@ss2felix embers are exchange currency you get after pulling on banners. They refresh every month! So if you don't waste them on farming mats, you can use them to get more pulls

No starlight is the premium one which you get only when you drop 4/5* stuff.. Embers is the other currency which you get on every pull.
Embers -save for free 10 pulls every month
Starlight - save for free 5* lc(cost 600 each) and limited characters (refreshes every month and cost 140)

Am blessed with early monster 5* characters such as Argenti, Bronya, and Welt. Picked me up a Tingyun, Pela, and a Yukon so im rockin and rollin! Id also recommend leveling one character at a time since you can focus on them for a few days and move on to the next once you hit lvl 70 and lvl 8 on traces. And max out their light cone

Just 2 things I noticed, at 17:45 you point at the nihility LC and say Serval, who cant use it since she is erudition
And I believe Ps5 players are getting Seele rerun too, so they can pick up the hunt LC from the store (but then again thats only later in the patch so maybe you didnt mention this on purpose)

@@jackjohnson8305Seele is a phenomenal single target unit that is best early game but she relies on her ability to kill enemies quickly and easily which gets harder in the late game. I recommend that you watch videos on it before you decide.
@@jackjohnson8305Seele is still very much usable, but she's an older unit so more likely to get power crept down the line. I would go for Jingliu

17:45 Smack misspoke here, he says Solitary Healing is a good lightcone for Serval, when Serval isn’t actually a Nihility character, she’s Erudition, so she won’t gain the ability from the lightcone. He probably confused this because Serval has a weird mishmash of a kit where she wants to be built with crit like an erudition but she also wants to be built like a Nihility dot dps at the same time, hence the confusion.

That's pretty good example for a newcomers! I'm going to show it to my friend, if she decide to try
you have my greatest respect for reccomending to newcomers to invest in Qingque for early game progression. Even at E0 i cleared the entire content and reached Moc 5 3* using her at E0.
Only this shows how much of a veteran you are. most people who dont do research they just dont reccomend her due to her mechanic of using alot of sp. But she gets so much selfbuffs by using skillpoints. 30% dmg buff which stacks 4 times, 79% atk buff when entering in her enhanced state (four of a kind) shes basically her own Harmony character. i did run her with 61% crit dmg for 100+ days and still cleared stuff with her due to her self buffing nature.
On PS release im gonna do a new Account as well and wanna re experience the story on bigger screen ;D
Also a tip for the newcomers: Weekly bosses is not the only option to get good early 4* relics. when you unlock the new Planet, the chest there gives you tons of 4* relics! there are tons of puzzles and elites. you will end up with over 150+ 4* relics that you can use to enter into midgame! there is no harm in making them +12, because when you start getting 5* relics, you can just feed the +12 4* relic into the 5* relic and 80% of the exp gets transfered over!

Coming in a bit late as a bored, caught-up Genshin player (and I DO mean caught up, my ENTIRE map is 100%'d; I tend to no-life games I enjoy) and this is very helpful advice since I'll be F2P! I've only been playing HSR for 8 days but I'm about to hit Trailblaze Lvl 39. I am slamming through the story *because* I noticed all the resources locked behind it, LOL, so it's nice to learn that was the right call after all!
I knooooowww you said don't even attempt Forgotten Hall until you have Lvl 70 characters, but uhh I got some bonkers pulls starting out and I've been able to clear up to 12/15 with 3 stars so far. That being said...my beginner warp 5* was Welt! I was so happy when I got him~ (My husband got Bronya AND a Tingyun, but he has no main DPS lol the poor man). I pulled on both Argenti & Silver Wolf re-run and blessedly won both my 50-50's. Argenti makes a great main DPS at least at my current level, and Silver Wolf is a straight up carry. I also ended up with a Bailu from free standard warps, so I ditched Natasha & built her. Between pulling for Argenti & Silver Wolf, I ended up with an E6 Lynx....so she is my other healer now lol. I was indeed blessed with Pela (E1) and she has been SUCH a carry. She was especially propping my team up before I got Silver Wolf. And Asta (E3), of course, is built, though I usually use her when I need more speed or just fire (I did get a Himeko as well on standard and built her for the Aesthetic, because she is an entire mood. I know she's bad but I don't care!!!! Haha)
I am definitely guilty of caring too much about relics too early, but tbh I think that's why my teams are kinda doing okay right now LOL. I will just chuck the old ones into the 5*'s once I get to 50 & can start getting good pieces. For now, I will focus on finishing the available story (idk how close I even am to finishing, but I read somewhere that the Xianzhou Luofu story "isn't complete yet", and I just beat the tree boss whose name I won't say for spoiler reasons. Not sure how much is left after that. I keep doing side missions to put it off because I think I'm getting close).

I think for sure you can farm relics as far as TL 45, the things you'll have tp manage are your extra fuels.

Great video, thank you. Just started on PS5 and got Dr Ratio and leveled him by mistake straight to 19 as heard he was rop tier without understanding anything and had limited resources left, only just getting passed the first boss 😂
This was literally me 😭 I used all my mats to level him and the first boss almost slapped me... Mf just revived himself after going down and took down everyone except Dr Ratio LMAO

For Serval Seriousness of Breakfast (forgotten hall stuff) is a good free option. She is erudition so the Nihility Herta LC will not work... She just has some nihility stuff in the kit so it is easy to confuse
cruising in the stellar sea isn't a terrible idea for new peeps, considering the seele rerun is right around the corner
I made the mistake of warping on the Standard banner to get to the free 300 pull. The game was new, and we didn't have a second free healer, so I pulled Bailu. I've gotten very lucky since, but my account is sadly Bronya-less.

Is an endgame guide possible? I know I'm at TB70 already, but I want to know if I'm still missing something. I wanted to know what the most efficient way to build units is (go for traces first, go for ascension first, etc.), what to farm all the time, and whether to go for reruns or pull whenever I can. Things like that. Thanks gacha smack!
Could you also create an updated guide for old players? For example, which domains to farm for stamina efficiency, how to efficiently level units, and what to prioritize first-traces, levels, etc

My biggest mistake in this game was getting Eidolons on 5 star limited banner characters as a F2P. It severely hurt my account. Yes I saved up and have an E2 Fu Xuan with her sig light cone but now my account is stuck without a good DPS character because I was saving up for so long I decided to skip all the DPS banners. Now I'm stuck in the predicament of spending money for Jingliu so I don't have to go months without a DPS or starting a new account. My advice for new players would be get 1 or 2 good DPS units that can carry you through the games content and then focus on getting support units to support that DPS. Support units are a lot more valuable than DPS units but even my E2 9000 HP Fu Xuan can't keep me alive in simulated universe because I don't have enough DPS to clear the enemies before they kill my Fu Xuan. Im the guy stuck with a F2P Dan hung as a DPS.
Try raising Qingque, Sushang, Dan Heng or Nihility characters, they can fill the Dps role just fine and keep helping you later when you have enough jades for the 5 star Dps you want.
I would just spend money only for Jingliu honestly, ifbyou really like her, having an E2 Fu Xuan is very valuable, no need to reroll.
Also, if you still haven't good dps, why did you pull for E2S1 Fu Xuan when E0S0 is clearly enough to solo sustain?
Imo, don't pull for eidolons, if you really like a character, just wait for reruns
@@dark-lord-itachi-gojoofthe6166 i aimed for E1 but I got E2 when I was building pity for Jingliu. It was very unlucky I actually lost my 50/50 to gepard at 80 pulls and I decided to do 1 more 10 pull to try to get more Pela Eidolons and I ended up getting the E2 Fuxuan in that 10 pull. Dumb decision. I just started a new account. Will only use the old account to do dailys until I have enough jade to get a DPS to return to it.

I think meta matters much more in this game than genshin. And i think its important to highlight this
I would agree, except that it's significantly easier to build characters in HSR compared to Genshin due to increased Resin and you can farm w/e you want, whenever you want.
You can clear MoC 10 and all of SU w/ virtually anything you want if you try hard enough and know what you're doing. I spent money on Genshin and still cleared HSR as a F2P player faster.
@magnaortusars3342 I disagree with farming being easier, because there are more different stats that your want such as speed, break, effect hit rate, and effect resistance that don't exist in genshin. Plus, you only have 5 artifacts in genshin, and only 4 need to match. HSR has 6 relics, which need a 4-set and a 2-set of matching artifacts with more kinds of rollable stats.
@@TryphectaOGWe're going to have to disagree on that then because those aren't hard to sift through. Many characters in the game, especially supports, legit only care about 3-4 stats.
Ex: Bailu only cares about HP, ER, and ERR. You can also build for a bit of SPD.
Seele only cares about ATK, CR, CDMG. You can also build for a bit of BE.
You can also use self-modeling resin to manipulate main stats in case you get unlucky.
Genshin literally region locks some characters and even if the region isn't locked, you have to break immersion by running to a different region for specific materials (or jumping in a random player's world). Unless they changed that in GI, I don't follow how it's harder to farm/build characters in HSR.
@@magnaortusars3342 sifting through artifacts isn't really hard in either game. Having less stats to care about can also be a bad thing, as now instead of needing a mix of 4 stats, you are trying to get your rolls on 1-2 specific subs. And characters like Blade want almost every stat. The only characters that are easy to build right now are harmony and abundance imo. Even nihility all want lots of attack, effect hit rate, speed and ERR. Crit is also really good on 3 of our nihility units, but most players can't afford to build into it. I really like the current stat system we have, I just think it is a lot more complicated than artifact farming.
@@TryphectaOGFrom my experience, sifting through artifacts is significantly harder in GI. Getting on set pieces w/ crit stats is intentionally difficult and hitting them is even harder. I only have 1 or 2 pieces in GI w/ above 20% CV while on HSR I have at least 8.
Also what? How is having LESS of something to worry about a bad thing? Getting the rolls you want are easier in HSR, again, because you have more resources to farm with. You also aren't region locked or time gated for resources either.
Blade absolutely doesn't want every stat or almost every stat. What are you waffling about? The only stats he cares about are HP, CR, CDMG and maybe DEF% or SPD. Virtually every HSR TC agrees w/ that. He doesn't need ER, ERR, EHR or Wind DMG%.
Unless you're being greedy and are trying to have some perfectly rolled characters, you can clear the hardest content in the game w/ non-optimal builds.
I just cleared MoC 10 last week and all of my characters had 4* LCs (aside from two chars.) and I brute forced the second half w/ two off-element chars.
Aside from that, there are several characters in the game that can boost the exact stats you want - TY boosts ATK, DMG, and SPD (can boost SPD further w/ Messenger and can advance forward further w/ DDD, a 4* LC). Yukong can boost ATK, CR AND CDMG. Asta can boost ATK% and SPD, etc... And those are all 4* characters and are absurdly easy to acquire F2P.
I could go on, but I'm not. I'm not interested in starting a meaningless flame war lol

so i started a month ago when they gave ratio and got e2 bronya by sheer luck or unluck, twice on standard banner and lost on my kafka :( i was wondering if i should get her lightcone i have almost saved up to buy it from shop but its equivalent to 30 pulls i'm not sure if its worth it as there is past and future.. Also i got Imbibitor with my guaranted cuz i liked the waterpump playstyle but there is a lot of sp management issue with both even with e1 especially as don't have any sp positive sustainer so will it make it better or will sparkle be worth it

I'm a genshin veteran like 1.0 player. And came back to HSR . 100% fontaine so I have a bit of free time.
Man I felt like I was a level 1 genshin player again. My characters does insanely low dmg. 😂 I even died at world 2 simulated universe(was that what's it called?)
Anyway, I'm having fun so far. A bit bitter that I missed Seele rerun and Jingliu.

I have a question, so I’m new I just recently got this game and I missed one of the characters I really wanted on the banner and I’m wondering do the characters on the banner come back after a period of time or are they gone forever and I can’t get them?

Gepard priority is just like he said. But if you do get him make sure to build him. U will thanks me once you enter swarm disaster end game
Is Gepard just a character that has to wait until higher equilibrium levels to take off? Started with the PS5 release and while I got him, he felt really underwhelming due to the shields being tied to his ult, with his damage being rather mediocre as well. Slow speed also meant he wasn't generating his ult that well
@@Vexal50 for gepard to have a a strong shield ult you need to at least have +3500 defense stats. With this high def stat; by the time you get his ult rotation, most units still have his shield even after being attacked. Also to get his ult rotation faster you need to agro him. So using lynx, his LC and unlocking his trace “Integrity” allows you to get his ult faster and before ur team loses their shield from previous ult.
Well damn... I just hit the jackpot. Just got Bronya. New to this genre of games. I am so confused about everything. The currency, where to use it, what not to waste, navigating the menu to find what I need. I will say it is fun though, when Im not confused.

Man I got bronya as my first and my second character, then I got welt, bailu and bronyas wep twice, then lost 50/50 to Clara..maybe I’m a lot more lucky than I thought

You forgot the NUMBER ONE RULE rule for NEWCOMERS. NEVER and I mean NEVER exchange you're Jade for ANYTHING other than the Golden tickets used for limited banners. That's probably by far the worst resource in the game to waste if you're F2P... 🤔👍

i started the game 30 days ago and my 1st 5 star was Bronya
I started yesterday and this is a gacha game very different from any other, maybe similar to genshi in a sense. I find a bit confusing and still didnt end what i assume being the tutorial, still inside that space station doing missions and opening chests or finding them.. still dont saw much of the game and im concerned if its like this all the way, but i will wait and see

My advice is: always double check which banner you're on. I burned a couple dozen pulls on LC banner on accident. I got incessant rain from it so not the worst, but was very lucky

1:36 so I see a lot of people who struggle with this choice of speedrunning the dialogues and getting most resources or reading everything and taking longer to do so. my advice: have two accounts. first get one account through all the content the fastest you can, and then get another where you experience things slowly and in the pace you like most. if you ever spend a bit, do it in the resource-focused one, and make it your objective to be as efficient as you can while not spending absurd amounts of time. once you get to the newest content on your resource-focused account, you will be able to experience things more slowly and naturally without losing anything, so eventually you will have just one account for both things.
