      No one before modern times believed the idiotic notion that focusing on differences made a people stronger. Even diversity of thought, the only good kind, only works if there's a proper competition between ideas; you don't just accept all ideas as valid. DO THEY THINK all the pride, trans, ect ect will just do all their shopping there because of the color scheme and ect...I've yet to see or hear people looking for a good deal on groceries rushing to a store because it promotes gay, trans, or whatever... .most shop for ,Quality of goods, . Good deals... Close to home, how workers treat customers... how easy it us to get in and out of parking lot...(I shop were I don't have to worry about making dangerous left turn on busy street... alway how hard it is to find a parking space ect ect....I will stop shopping at a place that decides I need them to dictate my political and religious views or where I feel unsafe.

    This is crazy.
    I went out with a couple of friends last week to a restaurant. While there, our server asked a question and I said " Yes ma'am." One of my friends said once she left... better watch saying ma'am and sir. Told her. I was raised to say ma'am and sir. If they don't know what the hell they are, how am I? IF they look like one or the other, that's what I'm going to call them. It ain't my problem, it's theirs. I stand by that.

    After I saw what some businesses do and what some supervisors do I realized that we really need the EEOC , but I wish the EEOC or some other organization had some authority to stop all the foolishness that goes on in our schools because the people that are in charge now are letting all kinds of stuff go on in the classroom like letting students talking on cell phones , and giving a student a passing grade when they know that student didn't pass , a few years ago that was called changing grades especially if the student was an athlete and it was in the news .

Like no they said what their position was from the on set and that you needed to be on the same page to work there. Kroger is a grocery store chain with no previous attachments suddenly telling people they have to accept me or be fired.     I'm gay and a former employer was giving pride partner flags or whatever to employees to put on their desk. I didn't take one. The only flag I fly is the Stars and Stripes. I wouldn't wear the clothing either. And I'm southern and have manners so I say "sir" and "ma'am" to those who are older and younger than I. Guess I could never work for that guy!

    I QUIT shopping Krogers AFTER the 2020 shutdown because of CONSTANT empty and bare shelves of what I needed to shop for, so I started shopping at Food City whose shelves are never bare. I had been a Kroger shopper for 30 years before this. Hearing this today, I have NO REASON to ever return to shop at Krogers again.

    This such a huge embarrassment to all the employees who give their lives (literally in some cases). They cant handle even basic business practices like just paying their associates ( 5 current class action suits) but yet they want to expand their hostile practices across the country. People need to stand up against this evil.Feed the human spirit motto is disgusting to even say. when you get to the District level and up they do everything they can intentionally to create a serious hostile work environment and are consistently ignored when reach out for help and even laughed at. There are areas that pay as low as 5 to 6 dollars and hour lower than all the surrounding competitors and non competition alike. Professional positions in the company are also the lowest or near the lowest paid in the entire country.

      It is very possible that a CEO is not aware of every lawsuit brought on by former employees. If a corporation is large enough, these types of lawsuits are routine and not the concern of the CEO. A class action lawsuit would be a different story.

    I'm part of the LGBTQ community. I am liberal in pretty much every area but in no way am I okay that two folks got fired for not wanting to wear a gay pride symbol. If they told me I have to wear a "traditional marriage" pin I would refuse and I see this as the same thing. These two workers have the right to decline that request. They were not hateful or disrespectful to the gay community, they just don't agree and that's okay. They are allowed to not agree 🤷🏽‍♀️

    If people have the right to be gay, others have the right to hold whatever opinion they may choose on any topic including being gay. That's how freedom and rights work, nearly everything that is going on now involves trying to force people to comply with the opinions of certain others.

      i'm gay , and i totally agree, people don't have to like Gays, the lifestyle , don't have to wear pride flags.. Personally i think the Pride flag is odious, it's divisive, hateful and would never wear it. It's also cringe. Maybe i should work for this company , refuse to wear the pride symbol , get fired, then sue them for Homophobia :) , be a laugh.
      i'm not much for Symbols, but i do like 1, National Flags, i'm a Brit, i love my Flag, i have no problem with US people wearing their flag. That's unifying

      I worked for a small business owner. Now I can tell you that not only is the CEO should be raked over the coals but what about the person or person's who handles the books and the person in charge of hiring and firing
      All these are in the know as well. The question is did they agree with CEO or pressured into going along with decisions made. This has no business getting involved with this kind of stuff and should be held accountable!!! Think about it. Also people who worked at all the stores were they hire based on this kind of behavior because all it takes is 1 rotten egg!!!

      It wasn't that was just a blatant lie. Pride month is June and according to the women who filed the suit they got the new aprons in April. I imagine they were fired for refusing to put their name badge in the designated spot or refusing to wear the apron, both are uniform violations. Look at the heart on the apron also it's not even a pride flag it's just a heart outline in 3 colors.

    I did 15 years with that mini fascist company !
    At one time , when I was a 19 year old night stocker , you could make good money and not be bothered by the bullshittery that went on during the day .
    The store management had some really good people , but mostly they were mini despots, and as far as zone and upper management, Stalin would've been considered kinder .
    When I left Kroger and went into sales with Eagle Snacks I had several Big Bear stores ( a local chain now out of business , sadly ) and I was stunned how much more management and hourly staff got along . In fact I became good friends with many of the store managers.
    Was it because it was non union , or just better leadership .
    Anyone can boss someone around , but not everyone can lead !
