Taking Kabul only a week after it took the first major cities in the south since the US military commitment ended. With that quick victory because the US no longer had the military leverage on the ground to control the deteriorating situation, the evacuation became obviously chaotic that was no different from what happened in Dunkirk in 1940 and South Vietnam in 1975. But if u weren't such a kool-aid drinking tool only forming attitudes based on petty partisan BS, u would see the most basic facts. And Cotton expect Milley to resign over Biden's decision to pull out troops against his advise to stay longer when that would endanger US troops on the ground? BS politics! The whole purpose was to leave as stipulated by the Doha agreement. I saw the hearing and it is such BS. Especially the Republicans doing this for cheap partisan points rather than having any sense. Turned off the TV to stop watching this circus. Considering that withdraw took place because of the Doha agreement in early 2020 in which Trump made a deal with the Taliban to withdraw US forces out of the Afghanistan by summer of 2021. And the reason why the evac got so chaotic is because the Taliban surprisingly took over quickly. Taking Kabul only a week after it took the first major cities in the south since the US military commitment ended. With that quick victory because the US no longer had the military leverage on the ground to control the deteriorating situation, the evacuation became obviously chaotic that was no different from what happened in Dunkirk in 1940 and South Vietnam in 1975. But if u weren't such a kool-aid drinking tool only forming attitudes based on petty partisan BS, u would see the most basic facts.
And Cotton expect Milley to resign over Biden's decision to pull out troops against his advise to stay longer when that would endanger US troops on the ground? BS politics! The whole purpose was to leave as stipulated by the Doha agreement. The difference between Biden's decision to withdraw and Milley's advice is just marginal at worst as both can be correct in their judgements. This is like blaming Ford for the loss of Vietnam. Because keeping several thousand troops continuously means the US will still fight a war in Afghanistan. Which would not make sense.
As for Milley calling China, military servicemen are supposed to blindly follow anyone who is a mentally unstable nutjob? A narcissistic demagogue who went as far as inciting an insurrection to disrupt a constitutional democratic process based fake news BS about election fraud is so much better and not to worry about? Jeez! It's funny that some people ignore the elephant in the room like the obvious fact that Trump committed a small-scale insurrection betraying his oath and yet, u blame the sane career military officer. And furthermore, the general didn't betray anyone. The Pentagon has always had hotlines for brass to talk to others in the world. Milley made his call in front of the Pentagon staff. If the worst he did was bad-mouth his boss, then it is something that's not a secret as even John Kelly called Trump, the "most flawed person" he ever met in this book. And he's not the only one and was putting it nicely. It's funny, that these tools got this revelation about Milley from Bob Woodward's book, "Peril" by cherry-picking, but completely ignore the fact that in the same book Trump was plotting an underlying coup to steal the election in 2020. The same kind of insane BS for that reason why Milley made that call.
