    Great video...! I have a 07 Ext Black exterior and dark charcoal grey interior with 234,000 on the clock and still runs like a beast... 405 Horses... i have replaced the headlight bezels, all 4 outside door handles, rear airshocks and the onboard compressor, front brake spindles, cam sensor, throttle body sensor, and the accelerator pedal with sensor... purchased the truck in May of 2011 with 43,000.... Love the truck.. put my wife in a 2017 escalade a few months ago so I could get her out of my 95 vette and the dealer told me he'd give me $1000 for my 07 escalade.. I said NO..!

    I have a 2009 Escalade ESV Black on black, Luxury Edition with too many options to list. I bought it with 324K miles and have had mostly good luck with it, until the dreaded oil pressure dropped. I replaced SO many parts on this thing, including Melling oil pump, pick-up tube and o-rings with add-on Melling pick-up tube brace, complete EVAP system, fuel pump, running board motors, etc. Then When I was finally finished repairing all of that stuff, the drivers side window stopped working while stuck in the down position of course. Then the heated and cooled seats stopped working, along with the front side passenger power seat controls. These vehicles are actually quite fantastic and I love mine, but they are problematic. Thank goodness I paid $6K for mine since it's just eating up my wallet in parts and I do all my own work. But wow, what a fantastic ride. The rear airbag and front Magnetic suspension is a real treat as it's SO smooth. I just road tripped it for a few hundred miles last week and had no meltdowns. It got me to where I needed to go and back even with 327,800 miles on it. It's a love/hate relationship, but I would DEFINITELY buy another Gen 3 Escalade ESV.

    I bought a 2007 with 196,000 miles on it and paid $6,750 and after doing the repairs I overpaid for that vehicle. These things with that many miles on them are not worth more than $5,000 or it should be used for a parts vehicle. The paint on this one is chipping every where, the tire pressure warning light is on which means four brand new wheels. Also had to be done on my Escalade, the EVAP system will need to be replaced and if there is anything wrong with the interior, more money down the drain. These junk car lots are asking way too much money for these parts vehicles.

    • @20tea
      @20tea 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

      Not unless you're a mechanic due to the avg miles on a car of that age. Mpgs aren't great (11mpg) and it's a pretty large car. Think the car should be midsize with more mpg. Also a car more modest and less flashy would build character. I have the Denali of the same year. Less tech/electrical issues, but I'd still not reccomend it for a newbie. I'd suggest a 4runner of a similar year or a reputable crossover. Avoid cvt transmissions of this era too, most notably the Nissan CVT vehicles.

      2002 to 2006 were the last good years for Cadillac. After that they turned into cheap plastic junk with a drive train made to drop dead in less than 200,000 miles. Who knows what went into this one with this mileage already. You can already plan on spending $1200 on this one for new wheels because they leak.

      @@starkiller7096 I like the looks of my 2007 and that's why I bought it with high mileage and it has no rust from a state that doesn't get snow. The big problem was who ever was the mechanic that worked on it that didn't know which end of the wrench to use let alone know how to use a scanner. I never made it home with my truck because the engine finally conked out. Cost $720 to have it towed the rest of the way home but I knew what I was getting in to. First the drive line had to be replaced one part at a time, then the ECM conked out. The EVAP system had to be replaced. So now I have a brand new truck and it looks like new. I gutted part of the dash and put in a Platinum dash with the hot/cold cup holder which I had been after since before I bought the truck. Still this truck doesn't run as soft as my 2002. I put on new 22 inch Platinum wheels but now I'm looking for some 18's which are as small as I can go with the stock brakes. Then I'll see if I get my ride back to something close to Cadillac. We have 3 EXT's in my family so I knew what I was getting in to.

    Where do I start? Well, your knowledge of the vehicle is pretty much no existent and your attention to detail on a vehicle is far less considering that you highlight the wheels that are clearly 7 spoke wheels and you stated they were 6 spoke wheels. Moving on, the emblem that you kept highlighting that has missing markers on it, look closely and you notice that the gold and black portion of the emblem is there and the missing portion is the red markers. That year Escalade only had air suspension in the rear not in the front, a replaced the dash piece that’s cracked is less than $100 even in January of 2020 I know I was looking for one at that time, and it’s the luxury premium model which is only one step above the base model which makes it an overpriced Tahoe. Lowest Escalade worth getting is the Premium not to be confused with the Luxury Premium because it’s only an option or two away from being the top trim which is the Platinum which apart from the Premium comes with entertainment in the headrests and heated and cooled cupholders which work great, I love them. You’re obviously a crook and I wouldn’t take a free car from you nor would recommend that someone else buy a car from you. Let’s not overlook the fact that you said the truck had 275k miles at the beginning of the video and come to find out the truck has 277k miles. Also at the mileage the car is probably due for lifters unless someone deleted the AFM in the engine which I wouldn’t expect you to know considering you can’t even tell that the truck has 7 spokes wheels even though it’s right in front of you. Start researching a vehicle before you run your mouth about one.

    • @TomM60
      @TomM60 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      There is no active AFM on a 2007. There are some lifter parts in the heads but they are not active and the whole system is not present.

      @@mercedesbenzs600bash The 07 and 08 don't come with blue tooth. I see no reason to go that route unless the body is cherry. That was the only reason I bought an 07 EXT and I didn't plan to leave it stock anyway because the motors after 190,000 probably need replacing which mine did. On the way home it ran rough made it 700 miles and it quit thanks to three bent push rods. The stock motors were not made to last and those starting at 09 come with AFM and if it wasn't turned off they are a money pit.
